Trial of After Effects- Cinema 4D won´t start up

I have installed the latest version of After Effects CC, and it runs fine.
The problem is that the Cinema 4D-part of After Effects will not start up.
Have anyone else encountered this problem?

Problem to run free trial of After Effects CS6

Hi, I would like to Download a free trial of After Effects CS6 but it wants me to install AdobeDownloadAssistant to do it. I installed it but it won't run because it says that it doesn't find Adobe Air when I do have it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both programs but I still have the problem! Can you please help me? Thanks

Updates no longer work since I installed a trial of After Effects CC

Hi there
I have a work computer with a fully licensed suite of CS6 apps. However I installed an trial of After Effects CC using my personal adobe id and now I cannot receive any updates. They fail immediately. I installed the latest Adobe Application manager but I'm worried i've just made the situation worse. The updates stick on 0%.
Is there any way I can easily restore things to how they were? My IT administrator is suggesting flattening my machine and reinstalling everything but that seems a little extreme! (Not to mention time consuming).
I just want to update my apps again!

My download assistant says there is no connection with adobe.com and that i need to start up adobe assistant again and then try to download the trial of After Effects, who can help me out?

Additionally, i'm not able to do an update on Adobe for some reason. I'm getting the following error message; server is not responding; it might be offline temporarily, or the Internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. I highly doubt it's my firewall settings.

Install the most recent CS6 update.
Don't install the update manually unless you encounter a problem with the automatic way. To use the automatic way, open any Adobe application (like Bridge) and choose Help > Updates.

No way. AE 7 (CS2) requires PowerPC support and Apple themselves have long pulled the plug on it.

After effects cc 2014 crashes at start

i downloaded the free trial of after effects cc 2014 and when i start it it gives me this error
it says "error, last message recorded"
"unable to continue, after effects has been an unexpectedly shut down"
since it may be related with the gpu i have a gtx 970 asus strix. From another pc with the same specs i can run it flawlessly

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the actual system crash log, not this meaningless Adobe stuff.

WIthout proper system information and other details nobody can tell you anything. The unusual install location alone could be problematic...

Well Todd, seems the newest version has the same problem, or perhaps an unrelated issue. Just upgraded to Mavericks yesterday (10.9) and I'm running AE 12.1. Closed AE last night after working on a project successfully for 4 + hours, tried to get back to work this morning and I see the following error messages. Is this related?

After effects animation Codec won't import into FCP

Hi
I have used After Effects to do a green screen key on some HD 1080i footage.
I then went to export - quicktime movie - animation
I understand that the animation codec is the only way to export with an alpha channel so that I can put other footage in after my nice green screen key.
I set quality to best and frame rate to 25, I also tried frame rate as current and it exports and plays back fine in quicktime movie player, but won't import into final Cut.
The error message is "wrong frame rate"
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am quite new to after effects and wonder if there is something wrong with the way it is seeing the footage as I shot in widescreen and the image is squeezed as for a 4:3 TV aspect ratio.

1. Check your AE composition settings (cmd-k) and be sure your frame rate is set to 25... AE uses the frane rate of your composition and not the settings in your export module...
2. Do not use the "export" command in AE... that is used only for special purposes only (i.e. for using "quicktime exporto compnents" not available under the export queue)...
3. use the "make movie" or "add to export queue" command instead
4. You expot module should be set as:
- best settings
- animation + alpha
do not specify any frame rate in the export module!! AE automatically uses the frame rate in your composition settings!!
5. Export and import into fcp...
I never had problems with AE animation+alpha and fcp 6.0.1
