Trial Version MAC OS
Hi All,
I am looking for MAC OS trail version copy. Can anyone please suggest the official website to download MAC OS trial mode. I am new to MAC so thinking if Apple also provides 30 day trials for their OS like Microsoft do for Windows.
To install an OSX virtual machine in VmWare you need to either buy and old copy on EBay or something since they don't sell disks anymore and for Macs the ecosystem is closed- nobody goes to their site and downloads a trial. On a mac it downloads the OS straight from Apple in recovery mode and handles updates all through the app store, which, on a Windows machine you don't have access to. If you have a Mac you don't need a trial- you just get the OS with your computer, and if you're on Windows Apple doesn't allow installation on to non- Apple hardware.
Otherwise, for the latest version what you'll need to do is go check around and see if you can find it from an illegitimate 3'rd party (a torrent) the new OSX, Mavericks, is free but that doesn't mean you won't be breaking the law downloading a torrent- pretty sure the copyright doesn't allow for distribution by anyone but Apple and authorized retailers.
The bigger question is why bother? I installed an OSX virtual machine on my Windows 7 desktop some years ago, back when you could buy a disk at Best Buy for $30. It was a tremendous waste of time. The thing opened and ran and did everythign I needed but it was unimaginably slow and didn't really work all that well with my Windows keyboard and mouse- no inertial scrolling, no Command key, no multitouch track-pad- it was like using Windows with an OSX skin on it, but with the added slowness of being a virtual machine- none of the snappy interface features or track pad gestures could work with a Windows mouse. If you're trying to use it as a chance to test-drive the OS before deciding to buy- it will be a lame experience and not really representative of using an actual Mac. If you want to simply run some apps that are only available on Apple it could be worthwhile- but not so great for high-performance apps- so no Final Cut, Motion, Garageband, Logic etc. Those will run SLOOOOWW.
So, my recommendation, don't waste your time. You'll be severely disappointed when you get it to work. Instead, either build yourself a hackintosh with proper hardware, with a trackpad and a bt keyboard, or just go buy a used mac.

Re-installing PSE 10 Trial version Mac OS X
Okay, I uninstalled my trial version of PSE 10 while troubleshooting other issues. I then re-downloded the install img and am now attempting to re-install, but receive the following warning:
One discussion mentioned unchecking "Verify checksums" for disk images. When I do that, I get past the above warning, the install starts, but then fails and I am presented with this:

I've spent the last 2 days trying to overcome the same failure, including about 4 downloads and 5 hours in on-line chat to Adobe! Was just about to re-install the whole MacOS when I found this thread. Will try your solution later, with fingers crossed.
Out of interest, had you, like me, managed to succesfully download the Premiere Elements 10 trial? If so, wouldn't that point to a corrupt PSE 10 download file rather than a corrupt ADA? (I've tried downloading from the Adobe UK and Adobe US sites though, so would you think both sites have faulty PSE 10 files?)
I really hope the products are worth it - I'm not sure whether to go for Pinnacle Studio, Avid's product, Apple's Final Cut Pro or Adobe s/w, as I convert to an iMac from Windows PCs.

Fonts went missing when I upgraded from the trial version (mac)
I'd been happily working away in a file using ID CC with no problems whatsoever when my trial period expired. A couple of days later, I purchased a subscription, then opened ID back up and opened up the exact same file.
When I reopened the file, it told me that all my fonts were missing, and it was going to replace them with Minion Pro (no thanks).
I checked fontbook and confirmed that those fonts are, in fact, all installed on my computer. (Even though I was sure they were because I'd been successfully using them shortly before.) I tried uninstalling and reinstalling them. I also tried closing and reopening the document, and shutting down the program, as well as shutting down my computer. Nothing has made any difference. Trying to find the fonts in preflight hasn't helped at all.
The problem is not that my fonts aren't installed, it's that ID stopped recognizing them, even though they are installed, when I switched from the trial version to a subscription.
I haven't found anyone else with quite this same problem.
Any ideas?I meant do you have a third-party font manager, and I see the answer is no.
And the font's don't appear inthe font list, or Find Font, at all?
If that's the case I might sayt it's time to uninstall, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) and reinstall. -
Installing a trial version of the Illustrator and InDesign App in Creative Cloud on my Mac is impossible. Keep getting 'Installation failed' notices. More information gives 0 fatal error(s), 0 error(s). Already repaired disk permissions in Disk Utility but nothing seems to work. Exit code: 7.

I had a trial version, and tonight I bought it. But buttons led me to the Windows version which I accidentally bought. I have a Mac. What do I do? How do I switch to Mac version?

Are you working with Acrobat or Photosohp? (You mention both PDF files and photos, so it's not clear.)

I have just downloaded a trial version of Photoshop Elements onto my Mac Book Pro (10.9.4). The installation to my hard drive went fine so I attempted to use Elements on an existing Photoshop file. I did not see the Elements option in my filter menu and am uncertain as to how to "add" the Elemnts to my existing filter choices. Please advise.
I'm sorry but it's very hard to understand what you mean. What filter menu? In which program? Do you mean you're trying to use PSE as an external editor with some other asset management program? Which one?

22 Hours and still no reply, seriously????
Hi, I am i can't seem to reply to the initial message. I tried the instructions below, but the download has been hanging for almost an hour and not progressing at all - so it seems to not be working...any other solutions? I am in Qatar, does the fact that my IP address is not north american affect this at all?
Trouble downloading captivate 6 trial for mac.

im trying to download the trial version of captivate on my mac, the akamai netsession interface is now on my desktop, i go through installation, it makes that happy sound and says the installation was successful, but nothing actually happens, no new folders or documents, or applications, seems like sort of a dead end.
To investigate i clickedon Akamai in "other" of my system preferences is tells me the status is "forbidden" but I am the administrator and i have never used this free trial before, so why am I "forbidden?"

Hi Inkwoman, Thank you for contacting Adobe Support. Please use the below mentioned steps to download and install Captivate 6 for MAC :
First click on the URL below http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?loc=en_us&product=captivat e
Then login with you Adobe ID and Password (if needed).
Then Copy and Paste the mentioned below URLs one by one in the same window as shown below: http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/6/osx10/Captivate_6_LS12.d mg Then Press Enter Key from the keyboard and save the above mentioned file one by one in any folder created on to the desktop.
Then click on the DMG file to extract and install Captivate 6.
Once the folder gets extracted and install Adobe Captivate 6

PSE 8.0 (Mac) Trial Version, no selection for Slideshow.
I select photos in Bridge then click on Create, there appears to be selections for Web Photo Gallery and for PDF Slideshow but no selection for plain ordinary Slideshow. Did Adobe eliminate the plain jane Slideshow from this version?

BobThanks Barbara, I will go to the Hands On Training Room at the Green Valley Camera Club and use one of the Vista machines to build my lesson plan. Hopefully that version will have a basic Slideshow selection. When I saw the new PSE Version 8.0 for the Mac I thought it would be the one to use to teach the new class next week, so I installed the Trial version.
Our club is very active and has just installed PSE ver 8.0 on all six of the Vista machines and the instructors console. In case you want to have a look at us, our web site is: www.gvcameraclub.org

Trying to load a Dreamweaver CS5 extension called Image Show Pro to mac operating system 10.9.2. Trial version worked fine, but when I try to load full version, Adobe Extension Manager crashes. I'm trying to download the trial version of Adobe Illustrator. An error message says that the OS does not meet the minimum system requirements for the installer. 10.6.0 is the minimum required for installation. How do I get my mac to be a 10.6.0 ? Right now I have a 10.5.8 is there a way to upgrade or something?
Buy the Snow Leopard retail installer (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA).
That will take you to 10.6.3.
If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)
