Trial Version of Contribute 3

I am using the Trial Version of C3 to see if it would be
useful for our school.
First Problem: I have no problem setting up a new user via
CPS but when I go to email the connection key cannot be done
automatically via Outlook I have to download to my desktop and
email manually - yesterday outlook emailing autimatically worked?
Second and bigger Problem: The user that I am using as a
test, can connect to the CPS Server but cannot connect to the
website that I am giving him Administrator rights to and he is an
Administrator on the network - we get an error stating ACCESS
Denied. Also we connect via local/Network. Does this have something
to do with that it is a trial version?

Ok, with the limited knowledge I have I found a solution!
In Contribute 3 I clicked on "How Do I" and "Administer a
Website" - then "Define User Roles". Turns out I AM the site
administrator and could select those functions myself by altering
my own settings...

There is no Contribute CS6.
Do you mean Contribute 6.5? That's not part of the CS6 line of products.
I downloaded successfully from http://www.adobe.com/go/trycontribute/
Have you tried using a different browser?
Any reason you want to use Contribute? It's rather long in the tooth these days.

Installed Trial Version and now Dreamweaver is Screwed Up

I use Dreamweaver to design and update our website, but I
want others to be able to help maintain it as well, so I installed
the trial version of Contribute to see how it worked before I
purchased it. Now when I go back to editing with Dreamweaver, I
have error messages that weren't there before and things that no
longer work like they did pre-Contribute. For example: everytime I
open a page, I get an error...
"The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
ASP.NET.htm has configuration information that is invalid. Date.htm
has configuration information that is invalid. JSP.htm ASP.NET.htm
has configuration information that is invalid. Spry.htm ASP.NET.htm
has configuration information that is invalid. XSLT.htm ASP.NET.htm
has configuration information that is invalid."
Also, the insert email link button gives me an error now:
"While executing onLoad in E-Mail Link.htm, the following
JavaScript error(s) occurred: In file E-Main Link: ReferenceError:
initUI is not defined"
Also, when I hit Command + S to save an html page, then close
it, it asks me do I want to save changes.
There are so many quirks now that I either need to know how
to UNDO everything to get it back to the way it was before
installing Contribute. Or how to fix the issues that I am having.

I recreated the dreamweaver user configuration folder
following the instructions in the above link.

How long is the trial period for the latest version of Contribute?

I have a client with an old version of Contribute who is currently locked out of his website because it says I am working on it via Contribute. I abandoned Contribute some time ago, don't have a copy, and deleted it from my system during a rebuild.
Perhaps I can unlock the site using the downloadable trial version but wonder how long it will be useful. I suspect my client might want a little more work out of me with it.

Most Adobe trials are 30 days but, you can unlock that page without Contribute. You just need access to the site via FTP (or some other means) and look in the same folder as the page for an .lck file and delete it. That is the file that locks the page for editing...

Contribute password is mysteriously incorrect after downloading new trial version

I have downloaded a trial version Contribute 6.5 on my PC. Was previously using version 5. An associate previously downloaded the trail version for his Mac. When I attempt to connect to my website, I get an error message saying my password is incorrect. I have not changed my password recently. I know that I am not making a typo because I have tried numerous times. My associate is not having any problems connecting. He started using his new version before I did. Any ideas why my password is mysteriously incorrect all of a sudden??

Open the editor and when time is up you'll get asked.
You won't lose your catalog if you need to uninstall PSE. Photos and catalogs are stored separately from the program files, but it's true that all you need to do is to enter the serial number into the trial. There may also be something under the Help menu in the editor, like Sign In, that will let you go ahead and take care of this.

How do I COMPLETELY uninstall Contribute CS4 trial version?

We are using Contribute 3 and I downloaded CS4 to take a look and see if we should upgrade. I've now uninstalled Contribute CS4, but all contributers, including myself as administrator, are getting the message "This website is being administered with a newer version of Contribute."
There must be some trigger that did not get unstalled, but I can't find it. Can anyone help?

I am trying to install livecycle trial version, but i get Error 13:11 Source file not found

Why do they even offer a free trial version of livecycle es4, when its obviously not free??????
i have tried from two different computers, windows 7 and windows 8, and before it can finish installing,
a messsage pops up saying Error 13:11 Source file not found verify file exsist. what does that even mean?

My trial version of dreamweaver won't open... Please help as the people from customer service refuse to! :(

few days, then stopped working. When I click on the desktop icon it
loads and asks me if I want to continue with my trial (29 days
left) or enter serial number. When I click continue with trial a
"Dreamweaver 8" banner comes up (indicating it is loading) then it
closes. I phoned technical support and wasn't able to get through
several times. When I finally did (after 45 minutes) the conclusion
they gave me was that THEY COULD NOT HELP ME FOR "FREE" because it
was a trial version. I really want to learn this program and would
really appreciate any help. I also checked out the dreamweaver
download trouble-shooting page and tried a few things which did not
seem to help. My computer is fairly new and has more than enough
memory (160G or so?).

I'll try. What are your machine specs. You say 160G of
memory? I am
assuming you mean a 160 gb hard drive. That is not memory.
How much RAM do
you have? What operating system are you running?
Did you download the trial from the Adobe site? Do you have
antivirus or
firewall software that might be blocking the program?

I'm trying to install adobe acrobat XI pro, the trial version. The Install Download Assist pops up but the program doesn't install. I do see a file named XI Pro, but not a program. It seems the program never completely downloads. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've tried to download the trial version of Acrobat XI pro but it's not working. The time bar is active for the download and indicates that it will take two hours. When I come back, the screen has gone back to the "install free trial here" page. I do see a file for XI Pro, but not a program.

Problem loading trial version of pse 13

I am trying to download the trial version of pse 13 on my Mac. I keep getting an error message saying the program needs version 8 or higher to run. I am running 10.7.5. Why am I unable to download the program?

hello...
i was considering an upgrade to adobe master suite, so i downloaded a trial verison on my mac laptop. since then, the trial has expired, and i have purchased a new laptop as the old one was on it's way out.
on my new laptop i re-loaded and re-activated my contribute CS3 which i purchased a few years ago, but as i had accessed my website using the CS5, i can no longer connect to it on CS3...and as the trial version of CS5 has expired, i can't go in and switch it to "transition" mode...
what can i do to access my website with CS3? kinda desperate to make some updates!

If you have FTP credentials to access your server, then you can FTP to your server and delete the cthub***.csi file under _mm folder. (Better to take backup before deleting).
Note:- This will remove all you adminitrative settings and roles. Your site will be link a unadminitered site.
