Trial Version of LiveCycle Designer 7.1 Missing PDF Preview

Following the HELP/Getting Started instructions to test 7.1, I notice that I do not have the "PDF Preview" tab next to the "Body Pages" tab. I never noticed this missing tab until the final steps of the exercise instruct me to use it. I would really like to continue in the tutorial, but until I get this figured out, I don't want to waste time if the product is faulty. (I was really getting into it...when my heart sank!) Can anyone help me?

In addition, it is my understanding and experience (with version 6) that it must be installed
b prior
to installing LiveCycle Designer. If that requirement continues with version 7 that means that at this point you would have to uninstall LiveCycle Designer, install Acrobat or the latest Reader and then reinstall LiveCycle Designer.
I suggest you save your work (forms, custom library elements, etc) before uninstalling so you can restore it after reinstalling.

Problem removing trial version of LiveCycle Designer in order to install new and input license key

User installed the trial version and has been using it. Now that we have a license key to enter, they have tried to remove it so they can reinstall and enter the key. They get a mesage that there is a problem with the install and it will not remove it. We have tried to reinstall it. When they do that, they receive message that the package is corrupt. We have downloaded the package fresh a number of times now.
How can we remove the trial version so we can get it installed with the key ?
I set up a second system and installed the trial version. I then removed it with no issue. I used the same package the user has downloaded.

Mac version of LiveCycle Designer?

I'm sorry, I know this has been asked before but I can't find a straight answer.
Is there a Mac version of LiveCycle Designer?
Our office is upgrading to CS5 Design Premium. If we buy the Mac version, will we get LiveCycle Designer? (bundled with Acrobat 9 Pro?)
It seems the forum users say no, but two Adobe reps have told me yes. I don't know who to believe.

No joy!
When LS Designer is bundled with Acrobat, it ONLY comes with the Windows version.
As far as I know, LC Designer is not available for the Mac, as the background Enterprise Suite is a Windows solution.
I have CS5 Design Premium for Mac and it does not have LC Designer. I do have a standalone Acrobat 9 Pro Extended for Windows and it does have LC Designer bundled.
One last point: in future releases LC Designer will not be available as a standalone purchase. See http://forms.stefcameron.com/2010/01/14/purchase-designer-es2-upgrade/

Seriously! Now I am so frustrated I am crying.
WHY can’t I get a simple answer to my question?
I keep going around and around in your system and I can’t talk to anyone.
There are no chats that I can access.
All I want to know is what do I do now? How do I get the purchased version of Live Cycle?
I went onto MY ORDERS, found the Order #, but there is no DOWNLOAD available. So I clicked on the ENGLISH Version to Download and I get an error message.
TRULY no one should have to waste this kind of time trying to do something SO SIMPLE.
Is there a support number I can call?

Can't open trial version of In Design

We have down loaded a trial version of In Design. When opening the program we get 2 error messages.
1. Can't find KERNEL32.dll
2. "Can't load SVG EXPORT.APLN plug-in. It is dependent on the TRANSPERANCY.RPLN plug-in which failed to load. Pleas check documentation for the TRANSPERANCY.RPLN plug-in."
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the down load and still no change.

Can I combine a form created in Livecycle Designer with a standard pdf to create a new document?

I have a fillable form that I created with Livecycle Designer along with two standard pdf files. When I try to combine in Acrobat Pro 10 it identifies the form with XML data and will not allow me to complete the process. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

No you cannot... this is one of the things my organization struggles with. I love livecycle becuase of its dynamic form capabilities, but we have so many other pre-built pdfs in adobe pro that can not be merged with these forms. It is truly frustrating!!! wish i had a better answer for you. Also from the book 'Creating Dynamic Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer' page 6... "The PDF files that Designer creates are structurally different than other PDF files...... LiveCycle Designer can edit a PDF form created in Acrobat, but Acrobat can not edit a PDF form created in Designer." Likewise... XML pdfs do not merge with other pdfs. JoBeth

Unfortunately, what you describe isn't a common problem. It is pretty surprising, but hopefully it's a simple as clicking or pressing the wrong thing. So, to find this out we need to know, step by step, at the most basic level, what you click or type EXACTLY and what you see. That should let us get to the cause.

Display issue with LiveCycle Designer ES4 for cropped PDF in WIN7

Hi,
I am having issue displaying the cropped PDF file in the LiveCycle Designer ES4. The PDF files are cropped 3 inches from bottom using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. It used to display properly when we have a WinXP machine but once we moved to a Win7 machine, it cannot display the top part of the PDF anymore. Can anyone help on how to fix the display issue? Thanks.

I am having same issue with Adobe Acrobat 9. The Acrobat 9 cropped file is displaying properly under WinXP but have the same issue as above in Win7. This issue seems uncommon as I tried to look for similar issue and couldn't find any.
P.S. It's only the Design View in Win7 that has the issue, I can still see the file fine with Preview PDF in both enviornment.

Launching the trial version of creative design suite

I have downloaded and installed the trial version of the Creative Design Suite, but I am not sure how to launch any of the programs. I have "deploy" "packages" "payloads" and "resources" folders within the adobe folder. thanks!

JurleeMango which operating system are you using? If it is Windows you should find them listed under Start>All Programs. For the Mac OS you will find the applications installed in your Applications folder.

Is there a trial version for LiveCycle Workbench

I was told LiveCycle ES4 comes with work bench, I downloaded the trial version and this is not the case. I'd like to purchase the software but I'm concerned if I purchase LC ES4 it won't come with Work bench.

2.— CS6 (Photoshop 13.x) is still being sold and it is the last perpetual-version of Photoshop to be sold, forever. New versions are by subscription only.
3.— Photoshop CC (Photoshop 14.x) has already been superseded by Photoshop CC2014 (Photoshop 15.x).
4.— The 30 day trial of Photoshop CS6 13.0 is available as a free download to anybody who wants to try it. You should be able to find it in this web site, but if you're having trouble finding it:

Trial Version of CS6 Design Standard Won't Activate

have been having some issues with activating a trial copy of CS6 Design Standard for testing for my employer. I had some big issues with actually downloading the software getting a Error:100 code. I had to download it from home to bring it in thinking that maybe it was a firewall block even though we have Adobe products currently.
Now, after installing the trial software, I attempt to execute the program and requires me to sign in. I attempt to do this, but I get an error that I cannot connect. I went through some of the online support pages such as clearing out the host file, making sure that I have a Global cert enabled, etc. I'm still not able to connect. I checked with IT and they were able to get through the https: sites that was part of the steps. Our firewall is NOT blocking any Adobe sites.
Any suggestions? I am needing this trial so that I can present this to my superiors.

Well, maybe so, but something is being filtered/ blocked. This could be anything from a misconfigured router to actually your newtworks NAT an VPN tunneling. Unless you do some very deep diagnosis, I'm afraid you won't be able to get to the bottom of it. Do some traceroute and ping testing or use a network monitoring tool like Wireshark.

Adobe trial version - fonttype Sabon (italic) not visible on PDF.

In Indesign (i got the trial version and i am a newbie @ Indisign) i use font type Sabon (roman and italic). I am working under windows.
I can see the font in Roman and Italic in the Indesign document on my computer, and when i export to PDF, i can still see it; really normal so you say.
My friend also sees it on his computer, in the PDF i send him, and he does not have the font type installed on his computer.
But, an other friend, and also the printer company doesn't see the Italic font, only the Roman font.
Someone who is a DTP-er and works with a Mac told me that i would need a special map (in Mac there is automatically) and program for exporting to pdf in combination with fonts.
In Windows there is no such map.
When I export to pdf, i get an error in background tasks: this is the error description:
Sabon Roman: This font could not be embedded due to licensing restrictions in the font. A substitute font will be used if it supports the glyphs used in the restricted font. The PDF will not be created if the glyphs cannot be represented.
Sabon Italic: This font could not be embedded due to licensing restrictions in the font. A substitute font will be used if it supports the glyphs used in the restricted font. The PDF will not be created if the glyphs cannot be represented.
If a substitute font is used, why doesn't it use Italic on places where it is Italic?
I phoned the Adobe help desk, and they say that it is probably the trial version that does not connect ok with this font type. They suggested to put my question here.
I need to know for sure that when i get the payed version, this font Sabon Roman and Italic do work, or getting Indesign is not so useful because that is the font i have to be able to work in.
What does licensing restrictions mean, i got the font from the DTP friend, who has payed for it - ?
Can someone please tell me what the reason is that some people can see it, and some don't?
What can i do to make everyone see it?
Does someone have experienced the same problem, and how did it get solved?

Could you please specify ,what exactly are you trying to install ,Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat .
Adobe Reader does not allow you to convert PDF' .It is a software meant to view PDF' only whereas Acrobat is meant to view and edit PDF'.

how can I download a trial version of adobe Reader XI to try the conversion feature??

Reader itself is free. The PDF Pack service that you can use through Reader does not have a trial. The only thing they have that converts pdf files and has a trial is Acrobat Pro.
