Trial won't open and neither will my account
I recently downloaded the trial for photoshop but it refuses to open. I had no probelms with the download but every time I try opening the program its tells me that I need to renew my subscription, and this is based on the adobe account of the previous laptop owner. It does give me the option to sign in to my account, but everytime I sign in it redirects me to a serial number screen. I've deleted all the previous adobe programs under the previous owner's account but that did not help at all, it still tells me the same thing. I am obviously missing something here. Any help would be much appreciated.
This won't work. You cannot have a trial and the same product serialized at the same time. Even flushing out the activation data as explained here won't help, as the encrypted activation keys are stil lstored on your system. Sorry, but short of reinstalling your operating system wit ha full format of the drive there is no realistic way that this will ever work.

My Itunes hasn't been able to open for months, the first time it happened was about the time my Internet explorer stopped working for no reason and my msn messenger won't connect either. Could these be linked I have a had a few I.T. keen people look at it with no solution... I have tried removing and reinstalling Itunes and msn Messenger but nothing has worked. When I click on it, it just won't open... any ideas?okay.
some preliminary questions aimed at narrowing in on
possible culprits.
(1) do you have Norton Internet Security 2005
installed on the PC?
(2) try launching your QuickTime. does it:
(a) launch perfectly fine?
(b) fail to launch with an error message? (if so,
what does it say?)
(c) exhibit other peculiar behavior? (if so, could
you describe it for us?)
(3) reboot the PC. bring up your Task Manager, and
click on the "Processes" tab. now try to launch
itunes again.
does an "itunes.exe" process appear in the Processes
tab? if so, does it persist in there or does it
disappear after a few seconds?
hey, i recently been having troubles with opening iTunes
i thought you could help because you suggested something that is causing me trouble (number 1: Norton 2005)
i click to open iTunes.exe but nothing happens. the process appears in the Task manager, but i cannot terminate it. And upon opening, my Norton session manager ends with an error

Firefox won't open and neither will Profile Manager.
I running Windows 7 Professional. So about two weeks ago I had suddenly was unable to open Firefox and since then have been trying to solve it myself to no avail. the Firefox process opens in the task-manager, however, the browser window does not appear. When trying to open Firefox again, another process opens and the same thing happens. Processes just keep opening and that's it. I have tried the Profile manager but it only opened once and I have been unable to get it to open again. Every once in a while Firefox actually opens when I launch it, but when I close it to see if it works again it does not. Firefox does open in Safe-mode with Networking with no problems consecutively. While it was in safe-mode I ran a full system scan with Nortan Antivirus and cleared about thirty threats but after the restart Firefox still won't open, only processes. I have tried deleting Mozilla from the x86 path and cleared My local and roaming Mozilla appdata, then re installed with 34.0.5. I have tried opening Firefox in safe mode but it won't open at all, only the process again.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

My firewall has been off for ages. And I did a check with Nortan. It didn't help.
EDIT: Turns out I was just being lazy I guess. I had read this post before on another user and it didn't work for him so I didn't try it. AWD did clean a lot of stuff but didn't work, Malwarebytes however cleaned more things and suddenly Firefox opens each time I try. Not sure if it is permanent yet. -
My voicemails won't play and neither will my music
I can't get my voicemails to play - all it does where the play button is is having a spinning circle - a couple times a popup as come up and said unable to connect. Also, my music (from itunes downloaded to my phone) hasn't play for a month since I got the phone. I have the 4s - got it brand new when it came out. I am so frustrated! Does anyone have any answers? PLEASSSEEE!!
well I was always using the visual mail I guess it's called - where you go to phone then voicemail and tap the one you want to play - I ended up just calling myself and entering my password and it played my voicemails for me - then when I went back to the visual one - they were working again - not sure what happened. My mozilla password won't work, and neither will each new one i create
I have about had it with this site.
My password I created would not work. I am sure I used the correct one.
THEN, I just created a new one. That would not work -- within minutes, it asks you again to put in the password.
I must have gone through this creating about five good passwords. All compliant.
Yet, none worked. This is your system. I even tried a different browser. Something is on your end, because I can log in to other sites.
The thing is, I have answers to questions I posted and the people do nto know I cannot log in.
You really need to pay moreattention to stuff like this.Are you talking about the password for logging into this forum?

Any ideas on how to fix ipad after the new iOS 7 update? My battery will not charge, my ipad is hot to the touch, the iTunes Store won't open, and my messages on Facebook aren't showing up when I chat and pintrest won't pin to my boards.
If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go -

I just did a software update to get OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 on my MacBook Pro.
Now iPhoto won't open and I get this error:
"Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable....Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup."
So I do this and try to repair the database as suggested and I get another error:
"iPhoto will open as soon as the iPhoto library is available. Time Machine might be backing it up."
But it's not - no external hard drive is connected.
I'm terrified I can't get access to my photos (and I admit I haven't backed up with Time Machine for over a year - my mistake that I won't make again).
So I bought a brand new external hard drive (seagate for mac and pc, 2TB) so I could save only my photos to the hard drive (because I googled and read you can manually save your photos to disk by dragging and dropping the photo library onto the external hard drive).
But I can't even get the hard drive to work....I get this error
"NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk2s1
at /Volumes/Seagate Backup Plus Drive because the following problem occurred:
/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).
the MacFUSE file system is not available (71)"
I google the issue again and it says to uninstall NTFS-3G but I actually think I just deleted it a long ago without uninstalling it properly?? I don't know....

First see if you can reformat the EHD to MS-DOS FAT with Disk Utility. If you can
open iPhoto and select all of the Events in the Events mode. Use the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option and export to the EHD with these settings:
Select the destination for the export to be the EHD or a folder on the EHD. This process will create a folder for each Event in your library with the same name as the Event and contain the original image files. The EHD will be useable by a PC and the photos will be available also. -

How can I back up the iPhoto library when iPhoto won't open and I can't simply copy the iPhoto library packet because "some of the data canny be read from or written to"?
Regarding not being able to open iPhoto. As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Were you able to create a new library?
If so then your current library is damaged and needs to be repaired.
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start
with Option #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I'm trying to install Adobe PS CS3 for my boss on an other computer. I put the Program on a hard disc and copied it to the other computer now it won't open and says it needs the license. What can I do to make it work on this computer?
Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

HELP! Updated to keynote 9...created a presentation (took me hours) and now it won't open and i'm being told I have to 'buy' the new keynote to open it
Keynote 6 is compatible with Mavericks only, your profile states you are using Snow Leopard, if thats the case use Keynote version 5 and all will work as before.

Premiere Pro trial won't download and it isn't listed in my creative cloud. It is frustrating... it says it is downloading but it makes creative cloud pop up and I then can't find it listed . I just want the trial. I have done trouble shooting on cchromeand on my computer.
See if your machine meets the system requirements for the software. CC will not list applications that will not work with the system.

Our imovies were stored in an external drive. The files were moved to drop box. We moved them back over to the external drive. Now, they won't open and look like quick time movies when you look at the file names. Neither quick time nor imovies can open the files, though. Any suggestions?
Just an update... A rep contacted me and we did a screen share. They were convinced that I wasn't full of <insert proper word here>. They promised to get back to me in a few days, and now? A few months later? Nothing.
Still no files. Still no correction... Still no nothing from Adobe.
The person I spoke to was kind, saying he'd make sure I got CC for free for a while...
Still though, no follow up.
Adobe, are you going to correct this or just let your customer suffer at your mistakes? -
when using internet Facebook won't open first. it will open if I open open another site first like Amazon, then it will open fine.
What version of iPhoto were you running prior to Mavericks? First boot into Revovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and repair the disk and disk permissions. Then reboot back into Mavericks.
Two hours later when the transfer was complete, rather than having a normol iPhoto Library icon (stack of pictures with a photo of a flower), the library appeared as a folder with a half done progress bar and an "x" close button in the corner.
There was a problem with copying the older iPhoto library from the backup. Delete the library and drag it once again from the backup drive to the Pictures folder. Run the upgrader again. Is this what you see when your first launch the upgrader?
