Trick play instead of Triple play

I currently have FIOS Triple Play extreme plan. When I click on "My Verizon", it shows my plan and cost. Below that, it states "What We Recommend". It has the same Triple Play, but also states that my bundle includes HBO and Showtime. I added that to my cart, but then it reads my plan will include Epix for an additonal $17 after month six. I called Verizon, they claim they cannot "see" what I am viewing. All I want is what is being offered. It seems like a Verizon gimmick to boost me. How do I just get what is offered, nothing more, at the price offered?

I should add that the person on the phone told me to just order whatever is added to the cart (no HBO and Showtime, but yes to Epix and the increased price), and that once the service is changed, to call again, and that his notes in the account would alert to whomever I would speaking to change the service to give me the free HBO and Showtime. After 90 minutes on the phone tonight, I am not in the mood to be on the phone another 90 minutes and take a chance on some crazy scheme to just get what is offered.

I repeat that error without programming.
Create new workflow. Add any small structure to container. In my case it has a type BAPI_DRAWKEY.
Add Form step.
In Form step:
Assign self as handler. Set «Action» = display. Generate new screen to the clear function group. On the tab u201CWork item Displayu201D set u201CAdaptation of work item preview in Business Workplace Function Moduleu201D equals SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML (it from demo button).
Activate workflow and run.
Complete workflow.
Go to the transaction SBWP. Open folder Outbox -> Work items executed by me. Find and select test step.
Preview will show HTML from FM SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML (u201CThis could be your own HTML document...u201D).
Press button u201CDisplayu201D and get out from step by button u201CBacku201D.
Preview will show usual form u201CTips & tricks: u2026u201D instead of HTML from FM SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML.
What can I do to resolve it?

Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects CS5.5 Lagging Horribly with Dynamic Link

I just bought a brand new computer. It is a beast
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel i7-980 6 cores with HT = 12 CPU cores
Nvidia GTX 570HD 1280mb 328 bit
120gb SSD sata 3
600 gb Velociraptor drive 10000rpm
8gb DDR3 1866MHZ ram
So you would think I would get no lag. But for some reason, when I edit in premier pro or after effects, especially when I use dynamic link with premiere and after effects. It lags realllllly badly. I am talking about 5fps and I have to pause and wait like 20 secs then hit play again to get 5 secs of smoothness and then the laggyness returns. I am not even using heavy footage. It is footage off of a Canon 5D Mark II h.264. I tried messing around with all the settings but I cannot get anywhere. Anyone know what the problem might be? I don't have any other programs running since I just installed these. This lag is really holding me back and I cannot edit properly because of it.

Your memory is ill configured, since you are using it in dual channel mode instead of triple channel mode and 8 MB is about bare minimum. You would be better off if you were to increase memory to 24 GB. Secondly, your disk configuration is the absolute minimum requirement, so adding a couple of disks will help performance as well.
I am not even using heavy footage. It is footage off of a Canon 5D Mark II h.264
Mistake. It is one of the most demanding codecs on the market. Look here: Adobe Forums: System requirements for CS5
You could try the PPBM5 Benchmark to see how well your setup performs.

Can't Pause or Rewind Live TV

That doesn't work on my box. I still get the circle with a line through it.
Adding to what Robert suggested, you need to access what you want to pause etc, through your recordings, not while you watch it live

Apple TV Upconverting?

Doe's AppleTV have any up-converting video capabilities and/or algorithms, as found in an up-converting DVD player. I find my up-converting DVD player is much better then my older dvd player. Before I invest in an AppleTV I would like to see this obvious feature included. Is AppleTV's video processor considered to be state of the art, as found in a Blue Ray player, or is it only modestly adequate? I have been waiting for a second generation AppleTV, but since it doesn't appear to be coming any time soon, I might have to go ahead with the present product.
Does the AppleTV have a zoom feature?

It must do some kind of upcoversion as it has a fairly basic CPU that can only decode video files up to 720p at 24fps, but can output a 1080i or 1080p signal to the TV - so presumably the graphics card upscales the 720p material when output to the TV.
Proper documentation of the hardware is scanty - from memory I think it's a 1GHz basic Intel CPU of some kind, 256MB RAM, and some kind of basic nVidia graphics chip.

You obviously feel upscaling DVD is worthwhile - many people feel it adds nothing at all. You cannot re-create real information that was never recorded, but the upscaling may produce an effect that people find more pleasing.
Other would argue that any upscaling is better done by the TV, but really it depends on the upscaling circuitry of the TV vs input device.

Modestly adequate only I'd say - that's not to say bad, just that for a device like AppleTV there can't be much budgeted for the graphics chip.
If it had a high end graphics processor/scaler chip I think Apple would be singing from the rooftops about it, to let us know what it is. Silence suggests it's nothing special.
I have been waiting for a second generation AppleTV, but since it doesn't appear to be coming any time soon, I might have to go ahead with the present product.
I don't think it's been a roaring success of a device - but seeing as media rental seems to be becoming a big focus for Apple, I 'd be surprised if they dropped AppleTV anytime soon. International price cuts would do wonders for sales, it's just too expensive for average consumers who pay £20 for DVD players, for the privilege of renting from Apple.
I would love an AppleTV 2.0 as well with a fast processor and high-end scaling chip, functioning USB, more file type support and a solid state drive (the mechanical hard drive is the most likely thing to fail I would imagine) of around the same capacity as the 40GB.
Some big enhancements could already be added in software to the current model, but as they've not been I don't think we'll see them in a new model - this device's marketing has changed from being about playing your personal media collection to a portal into the iTunes store with your media relegated to the bottom option in each category belkow 4 or 5 store tabs.

No, nor does it have pointless trick play navigation - only pause/play/ff/rw/next/prev.
Zoom might be useful for higher res photos than 1920x1080, but I doubt I'd use it personally.

My JNI codes get NoSuchMethodException when release to user

My JNI codes run well in my development environment(JBuilder7), but when they release to user, they get java.lang.NoSuchMethodException. The error generates when the C++ code try to call the java side method.
The release package was built by my colleague. And I found that they obfuscate my codes after the normal build work.
So I wonder is this the reason I got NoSuchMethodException ?

Yes. I have figured out that it is the obfuscator causes the problem.
I have spent too much time and energy in sloving the problem, so I think it might be worthwhile to write down what I have learned and let others avoid the same pitfall.
A common trick played by obfuscate is to change the method and variable, so that a line of code that once said:
draw(imageList.get(i));
may change to
a(b.a(c));
When my c++ code try to call the java-side code using GetMethodID(..."draw"...) or GetStaticMethodID(..."draw"...), it will, of course, cause the NoSuchMethodException
After I skipping obfuscating the Java classes called by the c++ codes, the problem solves.

SAP ERP EHP6 Upgrade cancel with no SUM Directory

At last week on wednesday, we started to upgrade ERP EHP5 to EHP6 case. On Friday evening over 7:00PM we started the preprocessing step.
When phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHD2_RUN/XPRAS_SHD_AIMMERGE step has being processing, system VM disk has got fulled, And system stopped responding. We checked all the sources, and but couldnt get windows started.
We had to restore system to another host, with Friday evening 08:00PM SQL backup.
Now this is the case, we have a SUM started database with no SUM directory. System is now usable for end-users but in some txcoedes system seems locked due to system upgrade.
When we run se38- RSUPGRES program, it has the error below.
now, how can i cancel the upgrade status without SUM directory?

TP imports are not possible during that upgrade phase what is why you get the 253 and the error message. There is a dirty trick (playing with table UVERS) that allows to override that security and be able to perform import but I won't recommend using it.
I do not think that RSUPGRES could help without the SUM directory, further more it should not work with SUM (see note 417670).
I'm afraid the only solution is to recover from a backup taken before the upgrade.
I'm a bit afraid about your sentence "system is now usable for end-users", I hope that system is not productive.

Usually the issue with "Log writer aborted with RC 1" and COULD_NOT_OPEN_FILE error, means the directories in DIR_PUT and/or DIR_TRANS cannot be accessed.

Info banner display time reduced?

Is it me, or did the display time of the info bar get significantly reduced? It used to be around five seconds, but now it seems to be more like 2 seconds.
Dunno when the change happened. I only noticed it just now.

Actually it was reduced to around 1 second for when coming out of "trick play" (pause, ff, rew, etc. on DVR) but AFAIK is unchanged for other times that the IMG invokes it.

Query can't stop and no result return

Sorry for poor english. I have a question, when I run a query(select * from A) using sql developer 3.1.07 on my pc(win7 home basic), it can't stop for a long time, and provide me nothing. There are no errors either.
But if I run the query on the database server or other servers, it works fine.
And if I specified the columns ,it works fine, such like this: select c1, c2 from A.
And if I count the row number, it works fine , such like this: select count(*) from A.
There are only 164 rows in this table and each row has 7 columns.
Now I have found that only this table has this problem.

No fault with your box. Trick play isn't available on the radio.
You probably missed the thread from a couple of years back which said there were no plans to do anything about it.
You may find that the programme can be fast forwarded on iPlayer (try both >> and >>|), although note that radio on iPlayer does come out of your allowance, but uses very little bandwidth.

IMovie HD refuses to open

Hi Folks, I've tried everything in these forums that I could find to fix this problem, yet nothing has worked. iMovie HD will not open; when I try, it bounces in the dock, then gives me the "unexpected error" box. Every other iLife app works fine.
Also, iMovie works great if I switch to another user.
1. I've deleted all files and reinstalled, and it's a no-go.
2. I've deleted the plist files.
3. I've deleted the caches, and logs.
4. I've tried that weird Garageband trick (playing a few notes).
5. I've repaired permissions several times.
I've done everything I know how to! Help!

You clearly have a corruption in your iMovie app. I suspect it is related to your system cache.
To uninstall iMovie, type iMovie into the search box in the Finder window and delete every file and empty the trash. Then install Onyx and run 'automation' to clean your caches and repair permissions. After this reinstall iMovie and run the permissions repair utility before you attempt to open iMovie. I am aware this is the same as you have already done, but as it has not worked you have not removed the corrupted file that started the problem in the first place. Try this proceedure in this order and all should be well again.

Unable to pause/rewind live TV

Can anyone help? Since the last software update I can't pause or rewind live TV. Its OK on the recorded one. Any clues?

There is a wee bug with the current software which means if you take the Try Again option the box forgets how to do trick play. The workround is always to take the Recorded TV option and use the exit key on the remote to get rid of the recordings screen. If you've already used Try Again your ability to use trick play will return after the next attempted or successful channel change provided you don't use Try Again again. No need to reboot in this case.

Cant record

i have been trying to record something and i keep getting a message saying something from another box is on my vision
and if we try to do delete them the box hangs for around 2-3 minutes then we get a message saying something like "the programme could not be erased. It may be playing on another box."
The second problem is that when we try and use the on demand service we get the following error: "V04. Currently Unavailable." This is on everything.

Are you sure the box is connected to the internet? Try:
BT Vision -> Settings -> General Settings -> Troubleshoot your broadband connection.
It should say "You are connected" if things are OK in that direction. You would also have trouble using trick play if you weren't connected, for example, pausing or rewinding live broadcasts.
It's a bore, but if that seems ok try unplugging the Vbox and the Hub. Plug in the hub and wait for the lights to stabilise, then plug in the Vbox. If you're using powerlines switch them off too and reboot them between the hub lights stabilising and switching on the Vbox. Again make sure they're fully up and running and showing the right status lights before you plug the Vbox back in.
Always check connections are well seated if you're having connectivity problems before assuming a piece of kit is malfunctioning. That sorts the vast majority of problems.

No sound with either headphones or internal speakers

I have no sound suddenly, with Itunes or CDs. Nothing from the headphones or the internal speakers. Mute is not on and Internal Speakers is selected for use of internal speakers. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a 17" G4 1.5MHz aluminum PowerBook, 10.4.8, with no audio, too. Volume = max, System Prefs sound-in = internal mic, out = internal spkrs. Microphone shows no input. Connecting an iMic (w/external microphone) via USB causes sound-in pane to recognize the USB device, and both line-in and internal mic show a very regular pulse (about 1-2 per second) but no sign of any real audio from mic. Disconnecting the USB device, closing then reopening System Prefs sound pane, causes pulse to disappear.
Tried all the usual suspects: Zap PRAM, reset PMU, different login, even tried the Garage Band classical piano trick (play a few notes, audio might return), but nothing worked.
Machine was purchased in '04, well out of warranty. I found the sound board's flex cable had somehow popped loose; reseating that flex cable (next to hard drive) solved all audio issues since the sound card was essentially disconnected. (Taping it down might be a good idea.) Of course, this requires opening the machine.....
Connector might have been jarred loose from rough handling, I dunno. Might be worth checking.
