Tricky Transprts

Hi All
I Need some clarity on the transports. We are using Solution Manager for our transports. I am explaining my doubt with a scenario. Please help
I have 2 CRs A and B starting at different times but are making the changes to the same component eg. Cube; MP, IS etc. Lets call it Cube C1
Say A starts on 1st Jan and moves to QA with Transport Request T1 by 5th, and is waiting for testing. In the Mean time Say on 3rd CR B comes in and makes the changes to C1 again and moves to QA with the Transport request T2 on 7th. In testing we find that there is a problem with A and we do the necessary changes and move to QA again with the Transport Request T3 on 8th. CR A passes the test and moves to Prod. Then Later point of time CR B Moves in.
What needs to be done to avoid CR B overwriting the changes on CR A when this moves to prod as CR A has the latest changes for the Cube C1.
PS: Using Solution Manager we cant transport T1 and T3 Separately. they have to go together.
I have a couple of Scenarios more. will post them after Later. Hope i have not confused you.

My IPAD has a blank screen. It is on and working because I can hear the ping of my emails arriving. I turned off and on as best I could which is tricky as the screen is blank. I synced with itunes and checked for updates. All ok.
Screen is still blank.
I can reset the ipad but I did this a month or so ago and it took forever and it lost all of my music which then took forever to get back on properly.
SO If I can avoid this I would.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Tricky Issue with connecting to Lync server from my desktop lync client 2010

I am facing a tricky situation here,
Firstly i have 3 modes of connecting my laptop to the internet as follows:
1)Using Wi-Fi connection.
2)A physical LAN cable connection
3)An internet data card (A USB data card).
Now, i can comfortably use my Lync using 1st and 2nd mode of connectivity. But i am having a real issue using the 3rd mode of connectivity i.e using internet data card, it just doesn't connect to the Lync server at all, even though i can browse internet
very well.
Later i got a workaround to solve this, what i did was, i connect to internet first with 1st and 2nd modes i.e wifi or lan cable and then i also connect to internet using 3rd mode i.e data card.
After this i start my Lync, which now connects perfectly and then when it is connected and working.
I disconnect my WiFi or LAN cable this causes Lync to restart, but this time it connect within minutes again using internet of my datacard, isn't this Bizarre ??
Now Could someone please help me to connect the Lync just by using my internet datacard?
Atlast 2 thing which may be of help is :
1)I can easily connect Outlook to the exchange server using my datacard and retrieve my mails.
2)When i connect to internet using my internet datacard, I can still see "Not Connected Symbol" in my network indicator on my Win7 PC, But i can still Brows
internet.
This problem may have something to do with networking, not sure. Please Help me to solve this !!!

Infact it was a Network Issue, found following on technet and solved the issue:
I found a solution for (my version of) this problem. My tray icon never showed the red X, but if I clicked on the icon, the popup showed a bigger icon with a red X, and said "Not connected". As in your case, Internet worked, but I'm unable to setup
a VPN connection because it insists on using a non-existent modem, obviously because I'm "not connected" (which I am).
I monitored the processes running the NlaSvc and Netprofm services (using ProcMon), and noticed that both were denied read/write access to subkeys within the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList hierarchy.
The processes were running as NetworkService and LocalService, respectively, so I tried adding full access for these service accounts to the entire subkey
mentioned above. Notice that permissions are not automatically inherited in the registry, so you may need to explicitly "replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object".
Within seconds, Network and Sharing Center tells me I'm connected to my domain. Yay!
A reboot was required to fix the tray icon and its popup.
However, I'm still unable to add my VPN connection.
I'm interested in hearing from you guys if your registries miss the same permissions? If so, Windows 7 must have a bug somewhere with misaligned service permissions/rights.

IMovie to Premiere: Best workflow for tricky situation?

Hello, I tried to make a cool title to drag you guys and girls in and possibly find a solution for me. Maybe it is not a super-tricky-situation, but for me it is
I have just started working with Premiere, and I love it. I am right now working for a client that is very particular with the editing and he has done it in iMovie. He just wants me to do the finishing touches, grade, effects and export.
I have a complete mirror of the material he uses in iMovie on my own HDD, and i started to read about exporting to FinalCut XML and then importing it into Premiere, however my client does not have that "XML" option. I also took a quick look to see what can be done to export from iMovie but i found no good solutions on his PC.
Now the trickiest thing to do, which would be really time consuming is to simply ask him to render it in any format he wants, send to me and I'll drag it on top of my timeline with an opacity of around 50 % and then I'll just search for every clip (from my HDD) to try time his in and outs and lay it under his edit.... Just writing about this gives me the chills because it sounds like a very slow process.
Have anyone of you been put in the same situation and would you guys know any easy way to solve this.
Worth mentioning is that my client also has Final Cut Pro 7 on his PC, and possibly one can open an iMovie-project in FCP, export as XML or maybe just render it in some kind of lossless codec where i can use the blade tool in Premiere to make my own "edits"
What would you suggest, any help would be much apprechiated.

Tricky Scenerio in AS 3.0

Hi Guys
I am trying to accomplish something which I think is little
tricky for me in AS 3.0. Please help me out if you guys have any
idea how to solve it.
I am putting multiple instances of UILoader (containing
videos) on the main stage and we can put them anywhere over the
screen(free flow). I have provided 1 grid button which will arrange
the UILoaders in a grid format. I hardcoded my program to move
children to specific coordinates. I did not use grid becaue i don't
want to stuck user from using free flow mode of moving UILoaders.
So far I am successful. Now my scenerio is that suppose I have 8
UILoaders in grid format placed 4 in one row and 4 in second row,
and if user put 9th UILoader in 2 nd row then all the UILoaders in
2nd row will shrink and move to accomodate 9th UIloader. And all
the UILoaders in row 2 including 9th UILoader should be of same
size.
In short in any row if I put UILoader on top of already
existed UILoader, all the UIloaders shrink symmetrically to let the
video accommodated and placed.
For the time being I have no idea how to target this problem.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I have code of 1600 lines and its not possible for me to
paste it. Actually my code is not generating any rows. On auto
arrange I am telling myUIloader1 to go to 0,0 and myUILoader2 to go
to 100,100 and so on..
Actually I am interested in creating rows and if user puts
any UILoader in between the rows then those rows shrink

Calling function in procedure...A tricky one

Here is a tricky thing ...
There is actually a Whole book which has Risk and XYZ portfolio books and other books as well.
The below procedure actually select the risk books based on FLAG =N else it will select all the books.
Now i need to modify this....
Here is a thing .....instead of selecting all the books it should select XYZ portfolio list.
Actually there is function in a package called PKG.TEST_func, This function lists all the books
Now all i need to do is call this function in the procedure in the else part and pass the parameter for XYZ portfolio books.
HOW DO I DO THIS????

Tricky SELECT

Hi all,
I have a tricky SQL statement below:
SELECT field_x FROM TABLE B WHERE field_y=0;
will generate result = ABC. ABC is a field IN TABLE A
However WHEN I try TO USE the below query:
SELECT (SELECT field_x FROM TABLE B WHERE field_y=0) FROM TABLE A;
it gives me a different result (All records is ABC), compare to the below query result that I want:
SELECT (ABC) FROM TABLE A;
Please advise.

Relational design works. It is mature. It is well documented. It works. Thus if you step outside the bounds of relational design, you must question WHY and make sure that answers are sound and logical. (obviously I do not refer to OLAP designs here, before someone jumps on my case ;-) )
That was the 1st cent. Logical design.
The 2nd cent says that know Oracle. Physical implementation of the logical design. Know Oracle concepts and fundamentals and features. E.g. a partitioned table can make the difference between a system that still works next year because it was able to scale with volumes.
It should be this simple.

Variable Offsets-Bit Tricky

Dear Friends,
It is very surprise with variable offsets (0CalWeek) in my Query.
I have a query where I have 2 structures.
In Rows, I have 3 selections in structure and one characteristic. The three selections are Different Product Groups let say A, B., C and characteristic is Product. So the Products are listing in the report according to A, B and C.
In Column, I have a Key Figure structure where I have Stock, Age (in No. of Months). The stock and Age are displayed against to Product.
Apart from the stock and Age, The User want to separate the Product Ages in to 4 categories like <6 Month Age Product Stock, <12 Month Age Product Stock, <24 Month Age Product Stock, >24 Months Age Product Stock. I created these selections using Boolean operators taking in to consideration of Age and Stock.
I have two variable selections for this query, Country (Mandatory) and Cal Week (Mandatory, User Entry/default). The Stock Key Figure is restricted with Variables Calweek and Country. Up to now the Report is working fine.
Now the User has new requirement is to calculate Previous 12 weeks Sale (in Units) of Product and then he wants to compare Previous 12 weeks Sale with each of <6 Month Age Product Stock, <12 Month Age Product Stock, <24 Month Age Product Stock and >24 Months Age Product Stock.
To Calculate Previous 12 Weeks Sale I have Actual Sales as Key Figure in Cube. In Selection, I restricted sales with 0Calweek variable with offsets and like that I made 12 selections. I created formula for previous 12 Weeks Sale.
Now my problem is When I introduced this Previous 12 Weeks Sale, The other columns <6 Month Age Product Stock, <12 Month Age Product Stock, <24 Month Age Product Stock, >24 Months Age Product Stock are not populating with Stocks but Previous 12 Weeks Sale is working fine.
If I remove Previous 12 week Sales and all 12 selections then all the ageing Columns are working.
This is bit tricky, Please suggest me a suitable solution for this. Your help is highly appreciated.

12 weeks means 3 months.Right?
try by creating selections month wise. i.e. create 3 selections by restricting sales with offsets on months instead of 12 weeks .

then how can I validate some of the records given the rule above.I can do the validation from existing records (before the staging table data arrived) without any problem.But the tricky part is the new records in the staging table.
This can be easily achieved if I do cursor loop method,but doing a multi table insert looks like a problem
any opinion.?

In short,in simple example,
through multi table insert if I insert record in production account event table from
staging account event table,making sure that the record doesnt exist in the production table.This will bomb if 2 open account exist in the current staging table.
It will also bomb if an open account and then close account exist.
etc.

Calculate Sum Tricky one

Hello Gurus,
A text file has data is in the following manner
I have read the file and all properly the only problem
here is summing up the data so below is how my data looks.
Please make a note this is not stored in DDIC database table it will be read in an Internal table
Also Col3 is not a integer so I cannot use COLLECT
Please suggest a way out to handle this tricky part.

Tricky problem. Opening RAW with Javascript. White balance problem.

Hi all. Hopefully someone can help with this - its a tricky one.
I've been using a javascript to send RAW and DNG files to Photoshop CS5 for automatic processing. The script opens the files directly into PS, apparently bypassing Adobe Camera Raw. It always renders the photos with the ACR default settings which can be set in either ACR on Lightroom. The standard Adobe settings are WB (As Shot), Brightness (+50), Contrast (+25).
My problem is that it ignores any changes I have made to the RAW files in ACR. So if I want to use a custom white balance, its not possible to use the javascript. The script ignores the 'custom' white balance and resets it to 'As Shot'.
I've tried changing the default values in ACR but the options are As Shot, or a set Kelvin preset such as Tungsten, Sunlight etc. Nothing helps.
Is it possible for the script to be mindful of the custom adjustments - especially subtle changes to WB - that I have made in ACR?

this script do perfectly what i need... But unfortunately not in Bridge CS6 :-(
I use Windows7 64 and CS6. When I run the script from the Extended Script Toolkit, everything works great.
Then I saved the script in the Bridge folder "startup scripts". At the start of Bridge I get the following error message:
"Error in C: \ Users \ ... \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ Bridge CS6 \ Startup
Scripts \ Stack Batch.jsx
Line 1: var = app.document.stacks stacks;
undefined is not an object "
Bridge and then starts the script is not enabled.

Runtime shared library? maybe getting too tricky?

Hi team,
I am still owrking on my project and was trying to be tricky by using TLFtextfield for a roll over to vertically centre the text, but now that I am using that class I am getting this message when I publish
So now because this project os goign to be on CD-rom and may be going out to people who have very limited computer knowldge and probably no access to the internet, should I not use this class, is this going to require a new version of Flash Player than these people psoobily have? Should I just stick to dynamic text box and not worry about the text being vertically centered? Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

If you are worried about your users not having a new enough version of Flash, which can be a legitimate concern, then you should target your publishing for as far back as is feasible for your design needs. Using dynamic textfields remain the better bet. There are other ways to vertically center things if it is important to your design.
