The 800-Verizon number is a call center in Mexico! I need to speak to someone who actually knows what I'm talking about. I was on hold for over 30 minutes! Please provide a number for someone here in the United States who is familiar with Verizon services (REALLY familiar; not through some training class).

Hi, When I am talking on the phone and somebody calls me, the call waitng function puts the person I was talking to on loudspeaker, is there a way of changing that so that you just get a beep in your ear?

It's probably a dodgy firmware!
Give your mobile operator a call (if it's Three, no supprise!! - it should be 5.92 or similar, then call 333 from your handset) and ask them what the most up to date firmware is. You can find out what version you are on by pressing *#0000# on your handset. Make a note of it when you call as they may say you should send it in (should be free) for flashing. Don't forget EVERYTHING will be wiped so make a backup and keep the SIM & memory card!

I just want to get some help using itunes. I have downladed music - paid for music, and can't get it into itunes. When I used th e'support' thing it just wanted to know my Mac serial numbers!! I don't have a Mac I hace a standard non Mac PC. So why can't I get help with itunes? Its taken me half an hour to get into this support thing because every single name I chose was taken!!!! Its just a nightmare. I hate it!

I have tried to burn to CD so I can listen that way but though I go through all the motions I can't add the tracks to the burn list by copying and pasting, and I can't 'drag the tracks here' beacuse the tracks aren't showing, just the whole album folder. It looks like this:

The only other thing I can suggest is to use the Repair option for iTunes.
Download the iTunes programme (do not uninstall your current iTunes) and then "install" the new copy. At some stage you should see an option to "install" or "Repair". Take the Repair option.
Once you've done that, if you still have a problem, I don't know what else to suggest, except to search through the discussions to see if anyone else has had the problem and managed to fix it.

I would like to know the answer to that one. I realized this was happening just after upgradeing my iOS to 6. Then when I looked up my purchase date, I was about 5 days past my one year warranty. So I'm dead in the water. Apple will replace the battery, but it will be about $80+. I took it to the Apple store, and they checked a bunch of stuff, but said that it seemed ok. I'm debating getting a battery for a more reasonable price off of ebay. But if it's the iOS thats draining the battery, then I'm not going to be able to help it. I wish I knew a better way to tell if its the battery, the phone, or the iOS.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Just trying to get help in auto lock it is not an options for (never) on 4s or new i pad 2 both are a mirror of each other it seems I have had problems with this phone from day 1 all up dates have been installed. Calling the support line is good if you get someone that is advance and that is not worried about there call time which I may have to do however I do know that this site is great help any help will be appreciated. Other than supplying the desktop "theme" (if you can call a complete lack of style along with a fair bit of inconsistency a "theme"), the OS really shouldn't be causing you to have a washed-out desktop experience. That's more a
matter of your display driver not really doing its job. What video card do you have?
FYI, one of the reasons I like Aero Glass for Win 8.1 (a 3rd party package) is that it allows me to make the desktop more pleasant to use and helps set the client areas (i.e., where work gets done) apart from the window chrome.
From what I can see, the color-management logic in Windows 8.1 is essentially unchanged from what it was in Windows 7. That there has been NO progress in this area is really a disappointment. It's an area where Microsoft has again just stopped
trying to make improvements.
If it's at all interesting to you, here's a screen grab of a REALLY cluttered up desktop. I don't normally work this way; this was an exercise to see how much I could get running. I finally gave up starting more stuff as I grew tired
and it just kept working fine...

I am having trouble using the report a problem thru ITunes. Selected report a problem but just not sure it has been reported. Did this last Friday and have heard nothing from Apple.

There is no official phone support for the iTunes Store, but you can try calling Apple technical support, explain about your vision problem, and see if they can find out anything for you. If you'll post what country you're in, we can give you the appropriate phone number if you don't have it already.

I have often found that to be a more reliable way of getting through to the iTunes Store than is the "report a problem" feature within iTunes. There are several steps to get through with Express Lane, though, so it may be difficult with a screen reader.
