Tried everything but still the windows doens't recognize it
My computer just doesn't see my ipod. I tried the following to fix it but didn't work:
reset it.
uninstalled the itunes and reinstalled it.
updated the Itunes.
I tried to update the ipod but the thing is the computer just doesn't see my ipod. It keeps on saying ipod not connected.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

We could probably use a little more detail there.
Ie. Is it booting to a grey screen? Completely dead? Any lights when you put the power adaptor in?

Message was edited by: anganaYou don't see it on the left-hand side of iTunes - you need to connect and select the iPad on the left-hand side, and then one of the tabs on the right-hand side that you use to select which content to sync to the iPad should be Photos : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
You will need to select and sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent sync remains on the iPad, not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from it. -
my iphone 4s can not scan any wifi network, i tried everything but still can not scan any wifi connection even though our wifi is working properly in our mac book and ipad. What do i need to do if the problem is the hardware?pls help
When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network? -
I have the macBookPro and the problem is the mouse pad does not work I tried everything but still does not work what should i do ?
so i'm using the usb mouseI want to clarify the issue.
The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.

I've tried everything but still can not! get rid of Babylon. Has anyone found a long term or permanent solution? I've tired uninstalling and reinstalling FF, done the about:config which also hasn't worked. I've deleted everything to go with this stupid search engine but still it reappears. It's just ridiculous. Please help!!! I don't really want to use another web browser

Hand tool ieee, tried everything but still isn't working...
Please can someone help me out, I've tried everything!
My hand tool / move tool suddenly stopped working. I unlocked, I restarted, I wiped my settings, I even installed photoshp again. But nothing seems to work. I am totally out of options now and still cannot move my photos in my document. when I start a new document, I still am unable to move my photos. WHAT should I do???? Please if anybody knows what to do, send a message. Thanks.To clarify a bit more. The Photoshop Hand tool (H) helps you to move around inside a magnified image document quickly and works similarly to a scroll bar. It doesn't actually move the image though. It simply navigates you to different parts of your zoomed up image -- very much like the red box does in the Navigator window. IMO, the Hand tool is more of a function rather than an actual tool.
In contrast, the Move Tool is a tool. It's used to actually move and transform selected elements.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Make sure the Apple TV doesn't have an IP address of 169.x.x.x
Try turning off security on your wifi network (for diagnostics only)
Make sure your password only uses standard ASCII characters.
Try changing your wifi channel to avoid any interference you might be experiencing. You can download and install iStumbler to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items. (Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel) -

F1 and F2 does work but does not give me shiny bright. I tried Windows Setting->Brightness but the level is on top and still have grey brightness.

I still get, even after uninstalling the virusscanner, deleting cache and firewall reset the message:"The page you want to visit cannot be diplayed....Invalid or Unsupported form of compression".
In IE the site works fine.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

when itunes upgraded my laptop went to 100% cpu usage. only solution was uninstall. have tried itunes again as my daughter wants the new ipad. still same problem tho so not keen to spend £400 on new pad without pc support. anyone help? (ps been using ipod touches 1 and 2, been great source of pleasure for my two girls, but cant sync them, so using the little shuffles for music, syncing to an old version of itunes on an old netbook - had the sense to switch off upgrades when the new version went wrong)
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

GL2DW conversions... I've tried everything, but still nothing works.
I've been trying for a few days to convert a CS1 GoLive site to a CS5 Dreamweaver site... and nothing has worked.
I have studied about 5 online discussions for various procedures. I downloaded the GL2DW extension and loaded that into the CS5 Dreamweaver site. No luck. I tried changing the names of the various GoLive folders to web-content, web-data and web-settings. But when I go to convert I'm still asked to list the folder with my .site file... which is clearly there. Yet it is ignored for some reason.
I next tried downloading an extension which I loaded into a folder in GoLive. But on launch it informed me that this conversion extenstion only supports CS2 and above.
Then I tried doing as was suggested on this list in another question:
From GoLive go to Site > Convert Site to New Structure.
Then from Dreamweaver go to Site > Import GoLive Site.
But that didn't work because there is no ' Convert Site to New Structure' option in CS1 GoLive.
So... short of looking around on ebay for a copy of GoLive 9 what might anyone suggest?
It's like I fall through all the cracks here... and don't fit in anywhere.
My site is fairly simple... but I wouldn't want to hack it all out from scratch in Dreamweaver... if at all possible.

www.johnnez.comThe migration tool doesn't use the GoLive sitefile. What you migrate is the sitefolder itself in accordance with the organization requires. Which is:
GoLive.site file
web-content folder
web-data folder
web-settings
Youmight need to rename your folders. See post above from September 27th.

I have tried everything but still cannot open FB i just get blank page
no matter what i do i can open FB i get just a blank page with the fb headings can see the normal page with the newsfeeds etc
I restarted in safe mode. I opened the firefox and it did not show not responding. However I was unable to connect to the internet in safe mode, so I don't know if it is a system driver yet or not. How do I start in safe mode and be able to connect to my wireless router? If it does turn out to be a system driver or something, how do I figure out which one it is? Thanks so much for helping me!!!

I am having a problem with facebook notifications. The sound doesn't work but appears as a banner. I've tried everything but restoring the phone. Is this a phone problem or an app problem? Has anybody experienced this problem and were they able to correct it?

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again -
Tried everything but cannot get Mail to send on one account
I know this is a wide reaching subject and I've been trawling all the web for a solution for past 48hrs and have tried everything but still cant get mail to send or connect to SMTP server for one set of accounts!!!
I am running Lion on iMac and it's fully up to date. I am using Mail for iCloud a/c, some hotmail a/c's and a Company domain with various email accounts, this is the problem one. I cannot for the life of me get the Comapny accounts to send mail, the same accounts are on iPad and Iphone and working fine but on Mail - no chance. I have:
deleted accounts and set up again
tried POP and IMAP
Tried different ports
tried different securitity levels
Deleted .plist file
Removed passwords from keychain
deleted all assocoiated Mail files to create "fresh" app
repaired disk permissions
Deleted again and reset again - over and over
Used a friends MBP and accounts worked fine!!
What is going on? I shut iMac down as I was on holiday for 2 weeks, when I got home booted up and thats when the issues started, nothing changed at all in terms of iMac settings, internet etc etc. VERY WEIRD! Especially as seems fine on iPhone & iPad.

I am in the UK and had a similar problem. Ii eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router. Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.

There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
Here's how you can fix it.
Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
- Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
- Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
And then click on "apply"
- restart your computer.
That should fix the issue.
