Tried iOS4 but only tells me that iTunes is up to date
I have tried several times to update to iOS4, but all I get is a message that iTunes is up-to-date. I knew that. All I want is an updated phone. Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
Even though iTunes was telling me it was updated, it wasn't. So, I'm updating now to 9.2 and will let you know how that goes. Thanks.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

This is Little John from Street Corner Symphony. I'm glad you like our music, but it also ***** that the iTunes store doesn't have it available for sale down there. Unfortunately, Sony is picky about that stuff for some reason. The bad news is, it's not Apple's fault and there's little we can do because Sony's the one holding all the cards.
The good news? We're no longer with Sony, so when we release our first album in a couple months, we should be able to make it available worldwide so you don't have to resort to torrents. Since you did have to resort to torrents to find the Sing-off stuff (I'm not going to make a judgment call, the issue of legality versus morality is not black and white, despite what some other posters want to guilt you into believing), we would appreciate it if you'd help out a little with our fundraising to make our first album. You need to respond to a verification email that Apple should have sent to you by clicking the Verify Now link. Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

An iPod Shuffle can't use iCloud. It can only be used on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a supported Mac or PC.
Also you can't create and iCloud acount on your PC (or your iPod Shuffle). You have to create your account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher. After creating the account on one of these devices you can sign into it on your PC. But this still won't allow you to add songs to your iPod Shuffle as it doesn't support iCloud. -
what do you do when you can't sync your ipod and it tells you that itunes is not compatible with your ipod?
Upgrade to the newest version of iTunes first to see if that helps.

Well, it could be that your carrier doesn't have a signal when it looses its signal. You could try resetting network settings which might help - Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings. You'll need to set up any wi-fi networks you connect too again. If you're still having issues, contact your carrier.

I keep getting the message when I open Muse CC, that the latest version is here and that i need to download it... But when i click "Download Latest Version" and it takes me to the applications manager it tell me that Muse is "Up to date"..... It sounds like you you have the old www.google.com/firefox/ start page that used to be the default homepage in Firefox before Firefox 4.0 sometime. It is not being maintained by Google anymore so either ignore the message or while in Firefox go to Tools->Options->General->Homepage section and change your homepage. -
