Tried to delete an app and iPad froze. Screen jumped around. Could not pget it to shut down. Not just mine. Daughters did the same thing.
Tried to delete an app on iPad and it locks up everything. Screen jiggles. Can't shut off. Can't get the message to power off. Not just my iPad. Other family members have same trouble.
Then please accept my apologies. I truly am sorry. After reading tonefox's response, I had second thoughts. I had an entirely different suggestion posted but I edited it for that reason.
However, I do find it really odd that other family members are experincing the same thing unless.... Did you all download the same app and you are all now trying to delete it? It could be a corrupt app.
Please don't be offended by this either, I am just trying to help.... Did you all download something from an unsupported site or store? Or are your devices hacked?
DId you try resetting the devices by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen?

Rebooting will not make you lose any content. Rebooting is when you hold the home button and the sleep button down at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
You can these suggestions. One might work for you.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream. -

I get the error message with free and not free apps. Any suggestions on how to fix?Reports are that this is a problem with the iTunes Store that they're working on. Some people have had success after signing out of their account and back in. If that doesn't work for you, wait a few hours or perhaps until tomorrow and by then they may have the problem sorted out.

I restored my iPad and then i clicked "Restore iTunes backup". It is finished but on the iPad screen it says connect to iTunes. I connected it to iTunes but it says the same thing. What should I do?
You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port. (Make sure you have the latest version of iTune on your computer)
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost. -
I have plugged a portable battery to the USB and my macbook pro stopped working after that, right before it shut down there was a message on the screen that said something like " USB device is withdrawing so much power, please disconnect and connect again?
if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.

The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.

Resetting the Logic Board
Resetting the logic board can resolve many system problems. Whenever you have a
unit that fails to power up, you should follow this procedure
before replacing any modules.
1 Unplug the computer.
2 Press the Power On button on the front of the unit.
3 Open the side access panel.
4 Remove the battery from the logic board.
5 Wait at least 10 minutes before replacing the battery.
6 Make sure the battery is installed in the correct +/-
direction.
7 Reassemble the computer and test the unit.

Why wont my Tv Show Download? it only says "download error. tap to retry" and tapping doesnt work it just keeps on saying the same thing.

I downloaded a season of Iron Man Anime and all of the episodes except episode 1 was downloaded. I looked at the error and it says "error = -50" and when I try to resume downloading, it continues to tell me that there is a download error and it wont resume.
It also says to check my network connection, but I'm connected. So....I'm not sure what to do...this kind of ticks me off. -

First of all I cannot update my device because I do not have enough memory to update my device. So I started deleting my apps and to no avail could I get enough memory. So I am wondering if it is worth the update if I have to loose everything on my phone ! Secondly one of the apps I deleted is the facebook app and now I tried to put it back on and it will not work! So now I have deleted stuff and can't get it back and still cannot do update!
It requries 3 gb to update over the air.
If you connect to iTunes you can backup the phone, then update the phone through iTunes instead, where it doesnt require 3 gb free on the phone. -
