  • Cannot delete iCloud Account or reset Password

    Hi,
I'm trying to Delete my old iCloud account off my iPhone so that I can set up my new account.
However, to do so, it is asking me to enter my password (which I have forgot). I've tried resetting my Password using iForgot, but I never receive an Email from Apple (I have checked spam and spam filters). I have also tried the security question but it says my answer is incorrect. Lastly, I have tried the "I have forgotten my Apple ID" route, but I get a message saying that my old account doesn't exist. Therefore, I'm in limbo!
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a way around it?
    Many thanks.

  • Tried to delete iCloud account from my iPad but won't delete

I have an old iCloud account - apple id [email protected] (can't access, can't delete from iPad).  Don't know password, associated email or answer to secret question.  It is making my iPad very difficult to use by constantly asking for iCloud password.  Followed the steps to delete iCloud account and it asks for a password which I no longer have.

  • Cannot Delete ICloud Account on IoS 7 Upgraded IPhone 5

    Hi
I have upgraded my Iphone 5 to IoS 7 and find that my ICloud email address is an old one which I changed from some time ago.
I have tried to delete this account but cannot do so as I being asked for the password for my old email address, which I can't remember.
The problem is that I cannot now set up my Find My IPhone on my newly upgraded phone.
Any ideas how I can delete the old address withouth the password?
My Apple ID and ICloud and Find My IPhone all work fine on my older 4S Iphone and my IPad 2.  IoS 7 seems to be the problem.  Or is it?
    Simple and instant solutions welcome.

Thanks, but I know my current password. The Apple ID website does not help, I'm afraid.
You are referecning the fact that when attempting to connect with your new apple id that you device is asking you for the password to an old Apple id. What you will need to do is to go to my apple id plug in the old apple id and ask it to reset the password to this apple id. Once the password has been reset to the old apple id, you then will be able to provide the password to the old apple id which will result in then being able to provide information required from the old Apple id to then enable your future process.
    Good luck.

  • How to delete ICloud account given forgotten password

I cannot manage ICloud so I would like to delete it. The appleid that shows up in the icloud portion of settings is an old email from two years ago and the system does not like any password I can dream up that might ever have been the right one. The inflexibility of IOS at this point prohibits my trying to get the password from Apple. If anyone has a real solution I would like to hear it as I have tried all the ones that start with "Why don't you try ...?"
    Thanks in advance.

    randers4,
Inasmuch as you instructions were probably right on target they were in fact somewhat mystifing so I followed the rest of your advice and checked in to the Genius Bar at the local Apple Store. There I found an able technical person who dived into the problem until he realized he also could not solve it because I had forgoten the password to the iCloud account.
Then I called the number he gave me for Apple support and was put in touch with another able expert who walked me down a pathway towards success until that also failed. He then turned me over to "Senior Technical Advisor" who took over the project and proceeded to engineer a solution. He had me hook up my IPAD to my MacMini running SnowLeopard and bring up the connection in iTunes. From there I followed his instructions with unwaivering rectitude until the final solution was achieved. Immediately afterwards he must have waived his "Men in Black" forget wand over the phone at me and caused me to forget some of the steps we went through so I cannot reproduce them here. However, such geniuses exist and they reside at the Apple Support Center.
Thank you again for your advice and guidance. All is well in Apple Land.

  • How to delete icloud account without a password

    Hi
I have just bought an iPad that was advertised as new however when I went to set this up, the previous owner had already set up an iCloud account. How would I delete this? everytime i try to delete account it asks for a password for 'find my iphone to be turned off' which i obviously don't have.
    Any ideas please??

    Hi swatts88!
I have an article that addresses that situation and can provide some insight for you:
What if I purchase a device that is still linked to the previous owner's account?
Contact the previous owner as soon as possible and ask them to erase the device and remove it from their account. For complete instructions, read how to remove a device from a previous owner's account.

  • I have a 16g iPhone 4 and iCloud takes up 5g if I delete that account will my iPad and iPhone still be in sync?

I have a 16g iPhone4 and iCloud takes up 5g if I delete the iCloud account to free up space will my iPad4 and iPhone still be in sync with my calendars, reminders, contacts, photos and so on?........

Deleting an iCloud account on an iOS device just deletes the account on the device, nothing more.

  • How to delete icloud account with no password and email is invalid

My mother updated her iphone 4 with IOS 7 and signed up for the iCloud and activated the "Find my phone app". She can't remember her the password that she initially entered.  On top of that, when she set up the account she typed a ".con" instead of ".com" on her email account.  Since that is not a real email account we can't reset the password/  We have already fixed her appleID, to have the "m" instead of the "n" ,and password but because it doesn't match the account on iCloud we can't do much.
    so in summary:
-we have to put in a password because the "Find My Phone" app is activated
    -she can't remember the password
-the password can't be reset because the email entered has an "n" instead "m" so we can't get a resend email.

  • HOW TO DELETE ICLOUD ACCOUNT WITHOUT KNOWING PASSWORD

    HELP

You can't. Without knowing this, you won't be able to delete the existing account & re-activate the phone. If you're the second owner, either get in touch with the previous owner, or return the phone for a refund if you can't. You won't be able to use this phone.

  • TS3899 I cannot get my emails to send from my IPad. I can send on my desktop computer. That's why I think it is within my IPad that I have issues. I tried to delete the account and readd it.  It still won't send. I can receive email to it. What else can I

Does anyone have any other suggestions

Yes, their email is powered by Yahoo! who is having critical issues with their email products. It's been all over the news so I'm surprised you didn't see it.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must use the previous owner's password to get permission to use the device. If you cannot get the password your father put on the iPad you will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

  • I changed my Apple ID that using an invalid email address to a new one and I am trying to update iCloud account on iPhone5 with iOS 7.1.2, and I am not able to delete iCloud account without the old password.

I changed my Apple ID that using an invalid email address and I am trying to update iCloud account with my new Apple ID on iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2. I am not able to delete iCloud account without the old password. Is there a way to update the Apple ID of my iCloud account?

Many people are having probalems with this right now.  The only solution I've seen that seems to consistently work is the one posted by Brackers28 here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23020591#23020591.  This only works if you still have access to your old email account.  If you don't, you'll have to have Apple help you reset the password for your old account so you can turn off Find My iPhone and sign into your account with your correct ID.

  • HT2623 how do i delete icloud account on my ipad when my apple ID is non active email and i don't know the password and can't reset password without active email

how do i delete icloud account on my ipad when my apple ID is non active email and i don't know the password and can't reset password without active email

If the iCloud account you are trying to delete is old ID that was later updated to change it to your current ID, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now, if desired, you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do i delete an icloud account without a password

I bought a i phone 4s  and i am trying to set it up.  Forgive me if these are obvious questions - i am new to all this.  I have a apple ID/password which i have created, however my current itunes account/icloud account are set up/picking up my old email address which i no longer have access to and dont know the password.  i have tried to delete the icloud account but it says i need a password.  I have tried the forgot password option on apple to which it doesnt recognise my birthday as being the same as their records for some reason, and i cant access the reset email as i dont have this address anymore.
how do i delete an icloud account without a password?
    thanks for any help

you can´t delete an icloud account without using the password.
if you can confirm that your iphone is not locked to icloud device activation with this AppleID your are not aware and you have no access for - you can attempt to "erase all settings and content" on your iphone, to remove the icloud account from your iphone. all your data will be erased and iphone is set to factory settings

  • How do I change icloud email when my apple ID has been updated to new email? Because of the update on apple ID, when I try to delete icloud account I have to put in the password, and it says username or password is invalid (because no longer apple ID).

How do I change icloud email when my apple ID has been updated to new email? When I try to delete icloud account (in settings-icloud-delete account) I have to put in the password for the apple ID of my old email address, which is no longer my apple ID, and it says username or password is invalid (I'm guessing because that is no longer my apple ID).

You will wait for the rest of your life. You need to fix it; no one else will. To turn off "Find my iPhone" and its associated Activation Lock you need the Apple ID and password that were used to turn it on. If you know the Apple ID you can contact Apple Account Security and have them reset the password (after you prove you are the rightful owner of that Apple ID). see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.
If you don't know the Apple ID the phone is permanently unusable.
