I tried to upgrade my early 2011 mac book pro to mountain lion so I can use airplay. purchased it from apple store got a license with a contend code. when to the app store and tried to redeem the upgrade. put in the code but nothing happen...

After entering your redemption code and clicking redeem, your download should begin. You can monitor what is currently downloading by selecting "Purchases" at the top bar of the App Store.
Click Redeem in the Quick Links section. The Quick Links section is located in the right part of the window shown when you click Featured, Top Charts, or Categories in the toolbar.
Enter a gift card or download code, and then click Redeem.
If you’re not logged in to the computer as an administrator, enter an administrator’s name and password.
If you’re not signed in to App Store, enter your Apple ID and password, and then click Sign In.
If requested, click Billing Info to enter or verify your billing information.
Click Done.

Try resetting your phone, hold the home and sleep/wake button down until the apple symbol comes up, then release. If that doesnt work, you may have damaged your phone and need to take it to an apple genius bar.

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

I have an Iphone 4S and ever since I did the IOS6 update I have not been able to update or downloand new apps. Itunes works fine along with everything else. I touch the update or download tab and nothing happens. Thanks for any input!

Firefox has been suggesting I update my software for a few weeks now. I happily click on "update now" and my Mac appears to be trying to connect to the update server. The window displays "Downloading Firefox" and the barber pole wait bar is moving. I've done this 5-6 times, for HOURS at a time, and nothing happens.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

The application manager provides activation and online features, so no, unisntalling is not an option or else your Adobe software would go defunct.

All future installs/updates of Muse (and most other Adobe apps) are through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Thus you do need to have it installed.

On the address line. I enter a url address such a google and nothing happens. The only way I can get to pages is though my bookmarks. I had to bookmark google, search from there and then bookmark what ever page I want to come back to. Tried reloading Firefox and still not working.

App update notification red circles but nothing happens when trying "update"
4S with latest ios installed and there is a 2 in the circle on the APP STORE icon but entering the store when I tap update nothing happens! I can see there is a brief spinning circle along the top next to the wifi icon but no apps requiring update appear in the window. Tried rebooting, downloading a new app (works OK) but am unable to deal with this issue. Any ideas?
Solved! Get rid of all the icons along the bottom row - one at a time- after double-clicking the Home button. Then the spinning goes on much longer and hey presto! the two icons needing update appeared onscreen without having to press the update icon (bottom right) at all.

Trying to retouch (repair/clone) a BMP file and nothing happens
I have been using Aperture for a long time now, and am used to using repair and clone.
Today, I tried to clean up an area of a photo which is in BMP format, and clone does absolutely nothing.
Repair leaves a white path where I drag across the image. The white path disappears when I use repair again, and another white path appears.
Switching views (use "v"), brings me back to the image with absolutely no changes, and no white paths.
I have chosen radius = 11, softness = 0, and opacity is maxed at 1.
Any ideas?As far as I remember BMP files are not supported in Aperture. Actually surprised to hear that you can do anything with a file of that format in Aperture.

I am trying to turn Photo Stream on - on my Mac when I get to the space where you are supposed to click on the Photo Stream icon -- the icon is not highlighted and when I click on it nothing happens --- what should I do?
the space that I am referring is the "screen" that pops up after I go to Apple icon - select System Preferences - the iCloud screen pops up and you are supposed to be able to click on the Photo Stream icon to turn Photo Stream on. Well, the icon "Photo Stream" is not highlighted and has no check box so that I can select it to get to the screen that will let me turn Photo Stream on.

Starting up with a new computer, I've been trying to install two search engine add-ons: easy youtube video downloader and
search IMDB. They are top rated so presumably safe and approved. I go through the whole process of installing them, and restart Firefox as instructed but nothing happens. I looked in the search plugins folder in Firefox (Program Files). I can see the search add-ons that were there when I first started on this computer, but none of the ones I'm trying to add are there. I've gone around and around on this repeatedly with no success. Please help.Addon search engines aren't in the Firefox program files \searchplugins\ folder, they are in the \searchplugins\ folder in the user's respective '''Profile''' folder.

Trying to install software update, phone stopped responding and gives error code 9
While trying to update software on my iPhone 4, it stopped during installation and gave error code 9, now it says the phone must be restored but will not complete the installation and still gives error code 9, very frustrating. I tried on 3 different computers, same results.

if that fails to solve the problem, restart in safe mode and test. if ae works, you have a conflicting non-essential program. you can use your activity monitor to find it.
if restarting in safe mode fails, uninstall, clean (Do a clean install) and reinstall ae. -
I lost my music and am trying to import from a back up list and nothing happens?
So I lost may music and have a backup but I'm not able to re import to iTunes....so what's up with that?

13. Connect iPad to iTune (make sure iTune is on standby)

15. Restore iPad from Backup (computer)
16. See progress bar with estimated time (computer)

18. See Apple logo

20. Slide to Unlock
