Tried to restore my iPod and now it is unresponsive and will not connect with iTunes
I've read other solutions to other questions and none of those have worked, im thinking i may have to send it in to apple.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Since downloading iOS 8 on my iPad 2 it has stopped working and will not connect to iTunes to do a restore. I have tried to do a reset using the sleep button and home key and all I get is a white band across the screen and then it boots into the main system but it is just a series of white lines going across the screen, how can I do a restore on this?

phone will not connect with iTunes, so you can not run, and I unlocked it and got the message that it is unlocked and I have to connect with the tunes.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Hi, I HATE to ask for help with this, but I HAVE looked everywhere and Google searched different wordings and have not found anything similar nor a solution to my problem! My good old iPod 4th-gen charges just fine in any wall outlet, in any house, but when I connect it to my brand new ASUS laptop that has Windows-8 and 3.0 USB ports using the charging/data cable, the charging process just keeps "blinking" BOTH the iPod and the laptop and it will not connect to ITunes and I get "A Device is Detected" message that keeps popping up and going away over and over right above the Windows desktop toolbar. When I go to control panel and select "Devices" it does show the iPod, but for only a split second and than it disappears, but than it comes back again for a split second and than it disappears again and just keeps doing that over and over and over! I have tried resetting the iPod while it is plugged into the laptop by holding the power and menu buttons, that did no good. I also tried uninstalling iTunes and any other Apple stuff listed and reinstalling it all, that did NOT work! The iPod, the laptop and iTunes ARE all fully updated! I AM using a brand new charging/data cable that I just opened up an hour ago (I've learned to keep a few brand new ones around at all times since these piece of garbage rip-off cables hardly last a week, even when you baby them!). I also tried a few old cables, they all do the same thing! I would like to get this piece of junk to connect to my new laptop, even if only once, so that I can change/delete some songs and transfer a few dozen photos,since I haven't been able to do any of that stuff since my old laptop (that NEVER had any problems connecting) died way back in May! lol. I hope somebody knows a fix or solution! Thank You!

my ipod shuffle will not connect to itunes and it is brand new and i have used other ipods on this computer.
When you take this one back, be sure to have your USB docking cable checked, to make sure it is not the thing that is defective.
Also, make sure you have USB cable plug completely inserted into the headphones jack. The fit is sometimes tighter than expected, especially when the shuffle is new. This is apparently enough of an" issue" that Apple has a tech support doc about it

Are you still holding the home button when you plug it in or do you let go?
You want to make sure that you turn it off, hold the home button and plug it into the computer BUT do not let go of the home button. Keep holding the home button until you get the itunes symbol and the cable on the iPod. -

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked. -

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
I don't what happen, but when I got my new computer with the Windows 8 it synched my 4S just fine. Now it keeps saying that the "USB device not recognized." And it won't even connect with itunes.

If nothing helped, repair permissions.
Disconnect the iPhone.
On your Mac open Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Then select: Repair Disk Permissions
This process can take a few minutes.
When it's done, restart your Mac and connect the iPhone.
If that doesn't help, reset the PRAM > About NVRAM and PRAM -
The Ipod shows up in Itunes as "Window's Ipod" but won't let me manually sync through devices or restore. I can't seem to click on the "window's Ipod box to cjange it back to "my Ipod" either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Itunes and used different USB ports and still no change.
What happens when you try to restore the iPod?

my ipod is broken as well, my mother threw it at me & it busted. at the top, it says "IPOD DISABLED CONNECT TO ITUNES" the thing is, is that it doesnt connect to anything. when i plug it up to charge, the charging symbol doesnt appear, yet the ipod still charges. Im really confused & i NEED to get this thing to work, it holds memmories. ( the safari also doesnt work, as long as the downloading music. )

Ipad 2 in recovery mode and will not connect to itunes after trying to install ios5.
tried to update to ios5,finished d/ling and when about to install, syncing-related(don't quite rmb) popup showed up and interrupted the installation,asked to continue or cancel, I cancelled, finished syncing ipad, clicked update again, installing but recieved error 1602, now ipad = recovery mode,BUT wont connect to itunes. help!

so I tried using a differnet computer, restoring it to the ios4.3.3, then once my ipad is out of recovery mode, i went back to original computer, connection worked, then i tried to update to ios5 again, success.. but when restoring, got stuck at "preparing ipad for restore" for 10 min, then got error 1602, then back to the same problem, ipad is in recovery mode, and wont get detected by computer. HELP
