Tried to sync iphone4 to itunes on my comp..not working! now crashed! HELP
Just got my new iphone 4. First thing i tried to do after inserting sim card is to connect it to my computer and itunes. Tells me i cant connect to this computer. then there was an option to restore settings and start over. So i do that, it says it can not complete until i restore the phone sttings and now the phone has crashed. The screen has a pic of the apple icon with a waiting bar. Cant turn it off or do anything else with it. Someone please help. im not the best at computers or phones..and now ive just proved it!
did u purchase the apple care and the other phone insurance that will cover lost,damaged , stolen iphone4 i just want to make sure u got both of them and the best thing to do is to call the apple experts or at&t or go TO a at&t store im saving u from these people honestly not to be rude to them but they dont know what they are doin and these people u are tryin to get help from might cause more damage to your iphone4 and iphones 4 are too expensive to just being letting anyone help but the apple experts or apple care experts or an at&t my iphone 4 is arriving tomorrow between 12noon and 2pm with ups trusted me if these people tell u something and u mess up your iphone 4 u the only one who gotta pay for it they aint gonna pay it for u to get another see me i only trust who im tellin u the only people to trust im not gonna get any advice from these people so please start going that derection tomorrow i dont want your iphone 4 to be broken for doing something wrong

I just got a new macbook pro. How do I get the 900+ songs that I took off of cds into iTunes on my computer from my iPhone. I had no problems syncing the music I had purchased from iTunes. I have tried to sync it using iTunes match, this did not work. I would like to have access to my full library without going into the user profile of my old computer, which is on my new computers hard drive. I would like to eventually delete the old profile so that I have more space on my hard drive.

What exactly happens when you place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes?

Without knowing exactly"why it did not work (error message?) all I can suggest:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Hi, I am trying to Sync Iphone4 with iTunes of my Desktop, but unable to transfer my purschases to iPhone.
On Itunes i can see that Apps are added on my iPhone, but after hitting the Sync button, it tries to do the Sync & nothing happens
I Have tried this on several times but nothing happens.
Any solutions are highly appreciated.
Thanks & regards,Hey guys, I found a solution. I had the same problem, the sync will say "Determining apps to sync" in step 4 - 7 then suddenly just quits. So I did some research, apparently a lot of people have this problem, but everyone were just trying on their own PC, so I decided to try on my other laptop. My iPod synced perfectly with the other laptop so I knew it was the PC that was the problem, not my iPod. So basically it's just iTunes. I followed these steps to completely remove and reinstall iTunes on my PC and Viola! It syncs perfectly again!

Note: Before I did this, BeBuoi said to remove all the apps and resync, but that didn't work for me. So when I did all these steps, I had no apps in my iPod.

Clearly you can not update 10.9 if you do not have 10.9
It is very easy to find, it is in the App Store as the picture I posted earlier displays. Follow the same instructions. If you can't then use THIS LINK which will take you there.
The current version of 10.9 is 10.9.5 and that is what you will get. -

I'm trying to sync music from my itunes library on my PC to my ipad2. During process got an error(don't remember #) and then it went to backing up. Now the ipad is frozen with a usb cable coming up to a white arrow and then the itunes logo. The ipad will turn on and off but nothing else. Any ideas?

Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad. -
I have mp4 movie files that i am trying to transfer to my ipad and it will no longer work. They will not copy to my iTunes library. I used to be able to transfer/drag and drop converted movies to my iTunes are the mp4 files maybe too big Although I have plenty of space

I was thinking about why the songs arent importing and I feel that its either, A) the format of the files has changed since you last imported them, or B) you may need to rebuild the iTunes library.

If your Podcasts list in iTunes is empty after following these steps, learn how to add them back into iTunes.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

First it tells me that my computer is not authorized and I followed all of the rules for that which did not work (Windows 8 did not have the option I needed or the new iTunes layout does not work the same as the directions) and now it won't even show me my purchases when I go into the store..
Yes, it stinks, but one could have known before, one can find out before going to a new OS which applications are already running and which not.
I am not sure anything Android or Samsung is already running on Windows 8. -

I hope this can help some people who have had problems with syncing their IOS devices to their shared itunes library.
Having had a lot of trouble with syncing and sharing my itunes libraries from two PC's to an iphone 4 and 4S via "itunes home sharing", I decided to try and find a solution using typical search engine search phrases. I found a number of issues similar to mine that pointed toward local network protocols such as media serving, and the ability or lack of ability to use these protocols by DSL routers.
My solution was simple, change the DSL router. My ISP supplied DSL router was the problem, not being able to identify that the PC's hosting my itunes libraries become media servers when itunes home sharing is switched on. My DSL box is a Tesco Broadband branded/firmware Thomson TG580. As a test I tried out a box from my previous supplier, an O2 branded/firmware Thomson/Technicolor TG582n. Although this wont work with my ISP connection, it will work as a wirless/wired router. As soon as I connected this all together, it worked first time without any hassle. I was mirroring my shared HD videos via the itunes home shared library to my 4S perfectly.
I know this may not help most people, but if you have the chance to test another wireless router, give it a go. Having had a good look, I can't find an Apple compatibility list. Maybe this is something they could do, or maybe someone can point out a site that may have this info?
I am by no means an Apple Fanboy, but I have to say that a lot of the complaints about the home sharing between itunes, ipods, iphones, Apple TV etc. may simply be the router and not itunes or the IOS devices.
My setup is PC's running the latest itunes with Win 7 32 & 64 bit and my IOS devices on 6, I also tested an iphone 4 on IOS 5 that worked perfectly. My 4S is now a perfect HDMI media player/streamer for my itunes music and videos encoded to H.264 using Handbrake.Assuimg you have the latest ATV firmware, at the bottom of the general settings menu on your apple TV there is an option to reset your apple TV. Try that and then reset it up back on your network.
Before testing ensure the correct time/date/nearest City is setup in the ATV settings and re-enter your apple ID/password and turn on home sharing. You can connect to your network either via wifi or cable and see if it then works.
Resetting the ATV and then checking and re-entering all my settings worked for me.
I guess if not, then the next step is to disable any firewall on your PC and see if that works after the PC is rebooted.

somewhat the same thing happened to me. i downloaded ios 6 on my iphone 4, when i installed it, it was a blank screen for awhile. and then all of a sudden it said that i had to connect it to itunes, but when i plugged it in, it did not even connect. it keeps on saying to check or verify privilages and stuff.:(

I updated my iTunes to 7.2 in my windows XP and, since then, I open iTunes and appears a window saying that iTunes is updating the library and iTunes stops.
