I just synced my Iphone 4 but used my old iphone's setting (already on my computer) Now I have lost my photos from my 4... I'm not sure how to restore to how it was before I tried syncing it with my computer...

I recommend an external drive to maintain your music. All your purchases are held in iCloud...so redownloading should be easy. Also, Home sharing is a great way to transfer to a new computer, but in the case of hard drive failure your options are limited. Home sharing is specifically for transferring to another pc. Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer.

You won't lose photos that you've taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit or saved from emails/websites - those photos aren't affected by syncing.
If they are photos that were originally synced from a computer and this isn't the same computer, then you should be prompted as to whether you want them replacing - but there is a risk that they will be removed.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

What do you mean by "edit icloud accounts"?
Were you backing up to iCloud? If you were, just wipe it (Settings>General>Resets>Erase All Content and Settings) and restore it from your iCloud backup.

If you've been using your phone as recommended in the User Guide, you've synched your contacts with a cloud service like Google, MobileMe or iCloud, or with a program on your computer like Address Book or Outlook.
Your contacts should still be safe in those programs and ready for resynching.
If, on the other hand, you've relied only on the iPhone to maintain your contacts, then you have just learned a valuable lesson, and this is why is is NOT recommended by Apple.
Likewise, it's recommended that photos get uploaded from your phone to your computer for safe keeping. Did you do this?

Trying to communicate with HP54845A using IVIscope routines and getting error 0XBFFF0011 (Insufficient location information or the requested device or resource is not present in the system).

I am able to talk to the device using the MAX tool and also using Plug & Play VIs. The device is at address 7, so I'm using the string GPIB[0]::7::INSTR. I have downloaded the latest hp345xx dll (version 3.13)and have iviscope version 3.0.2.0 installed.

What version of the IVI Compliance package do you have? You can check this under the software tab in MAX. Also, see the attached screenshots for a sample assignment/configuration of a logical name and a driver session. Once you have gone through the analagous steps it should work, where your resource name control in LabVIEW should be populated with the logical name created in MAX.

Sync with a different computer without erasing?

I am getting really frustrated trying to figure out how to resync with my old computer. Basically, I had a MBA but it had to be returned. Now, I am trying to sync with my old computer but it insists on erasing. If nothing else, I am fine with that as long as it recreates my folder layout, which it wont. There has to be a way to change computers without losing all my layouts.
Anyone?

iCloud backups do not contain your media. If you have iTunes match, that's a different story entirely, and it behaves in a different way.
You can restore from your iCloud backup, which will bring back everything except your media. You will need to re-sync that from your computer.

An extra group 'on my iphone' appeared after i sync with windows contact via itunes

I am having this problem which appears to be happened after i sync with my computer. In the contact group, there is an extra group 'on my iphone' appeared after i sync with windows contact via itunes, and even though now i stop syncing already, the group is still there. Can anyone here give me some suggestion on how to remove this group permantly, i not just wanted to remove the contacts but the entire group form appearing on my iphone. Thanks.

Is the app compatible with the iPhone (e.g. it's not and iPad-only app), and do you have the relevant iOS version on the phone ? Or do you have Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps set 'off' on the phone which will stop new apps being installed ?
