i have an old n 95 but i love it while trying to update the software today my g-friend disconnected my laptop plugged in the hoover corrupting the down load tyhe phone now wont start, can anyone Please offer advice on how to start this or the procedure for foing a hard restart thanks ..thanks

I'm trying to update my very old iPod on my old laptop and it says "Attempting to copy to the disk "Kims iPod" failed. You do not have the privilege to make changes. Then another window pops up the ipod 'kims ipod' cannot be synced. you do have the privilage to make changes. Then another saying itunes could not copy "awake (name of track) to the ipod Kims ipdo because an unknown error occured (-61)
What does this mean and how can I fix this? I am operating on a very old mac laptop however it is not the same one that the ipod was set up on ... I have authorised this computer to make changes

Updating from the ipod itself is a feature of ios 5 or later.
You would need to update as always. Turn on computer, open itunes, connect ipod.

My IPAD has not been used in almost two.... I have tried to update software but when go to Settings, General I can not find Software Updates where it should be between About and Sounds, what can I do? First what version of Lion are you running and have you downloaded any Combo updates since you installed it.
Second; I see you only have 10.6.2 in your profile. You might like to update it.
I don't have Lion myself but I'm guessing you don't have the very latest version. You can check what should be available through the opening Apple support page > downloads. -

The updates indicate I wouldn't need nearly that amount of memory why the discrepancy?
Post a screen shot of the updates your are trying to install. I don't know what would be causing the discrepancy. -
