HELP ME
Hold down the home button and the power button for about 25 seconds or until you see the apple logo. Thats a hard reset and it should restart the phone and bring it back to the slide to unlock.

My iPhone 4S had the iOS 6 update and I have been trying to download all day but it won't work and now when I go to software update of says iOS 5.1.1 is up to date. And I cant restore my iPhone becuase when I go onto iTunes it says that it can't find my iPhone. I have tryed to download the most resent iTunes because I went to apple website and just hit download iTunes so I guess it's the most resent version and I don't know what to do. Should I go to an apple store?

I have downloaded ios 6 on my ipad 2 but it wouldn't install and now my ipad won't work (just has the apple logo on the screen periodically) and it won't reset. Any ideas folks? Thanks in advance.
Try restoring the device using iTunes. Connect the iPad to your computer and when iTunes opens, select your device on the left side, then click on the summary tab, then click on Restore.
After the device is restored you will have an opportunity to restore from your backup. Restore from the backup when you are done and then sync with iTunes.
if that doesn't work, try recovery mode.

iOS 6 update has done something to the YouTube icon and now I can't see videos when following the new link in the bookmark bar. Flash player required message appears and there is a black bar when scrolling.
YouTube is not now part of iOS 6. However, you can download the YouTube app at http://itunes.apple.com/app/youtube/id544007664.

Yes, yes, yes... I've gone through all the common sense trouble shoots. Would't be here asking questions if that answers existed on the net. Sorry if I sound a bit edgey, but I've had nothing but issues with every update since IOS 7. Clearly there's nothing that can be done about this. and this is the final nail in the coffin to try to make me buy an Iphone 5.

My IOS is 4.2.2 and my ipod doesnt accept later versions. Before updating the software, I used to have viber and now I can reinstall it, because it needs IOS 4.3 or later. Only the carrier an iPhone is locked to can authorize the phone's official unlocking. So, you need to contact the carrier your phone is locked to to see if they offer unlocking & what the cost/procedure is, & if you qualify.
There is no other way to get any iPhone officially unlocked. -

Previously my iTunes was showing the phone and summary etc etc. The India Support center asked me to upgrade it to 5.1.1 then the new sim will be recognised, but now nothing is happening, even iTunes is not showing the Summary page.

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.

Hi there. I have 3GS and tried to up-date it today (19 Feb 2013) with iTunes and now I can't activate it! it shows the "Your iPhone could not be activated. tha activation server is unavailable...". The iPhone has never been jailbroken!!!

Have you tried to Update through a computer running the most up top date version of iTunes?
