Tried to upgrade to iOS4 and got error while restoring i pod.

I tried upgrading to iOS4 from iTunes 9.2.1 running on my iMac G5 running OSX version 10.5.8. An error occurred while restoring the ipod: (-402653173) and the i Pod is now frozen and unusable.

This is the message. It takes me to no solutions and only confirms my view that Adobe Digital Solutions is a rubbish programme that editors should avoid like the plague.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this one. Clearly Adobe are not interested

iPhoto 9.3 requires OS X 10.7.4 now. You can use your actual version of iPhoto or upgrade to Lion (or wait to Mountain Lion)

Tried to upgrade to ios4 with 3G...get error message

when I tried to upgrade to iOS4 on my 3G, it told me that it could not complete the restore. I didn't seem to lose anything but everytime I plug the phone in now to charge I get the same error message....it asks if I want to complete restoring...I click yes and the error comes up with a number. I read on this forum to do a restore from a backup before updating, and all worked fine with my 3G but it took about two hours, so have patience.
What I did was download the update without installing. I then did a Restore From Backup, which then backed up everything and did the update with the restore. A couple of things I had to do for a couple of apps, but otherwise all is well. I will probably get an iphone 4 in August or September.

Error 3194:
This device isn't eligible for the requested build
It means that Apple has stopped signing the version of iOS that you have, try downloading the latest iOS version, then try Restore again.

I tried connecting to iTunes and neither the PC nor iTunes recognizes the device. I went through all the troubleshooting on the Apple website for this issue and nothing worked. I've reinstalled iTunes, the driver, everything and still can't get either the PC or iTunes to recognize the phone. I don't know what else to do :-( any help or suggestions are highly appreciated!
I would hate to have lost all my info, especially contacts and calendar items since I have no idea what was backed up prior to the phone getting locked on this screen. I've been told that my only option is to go to the phone carrier and they will reset it for me, but that means it will wipe out all the info.
I hope someone has a fix other than that one.

Probably the OP is no longer paying attention to this unless the OP is subscribed to this discussion. While not really an iPhone question I guess using an iPhone to produce the movie which then needs taking to the next step makes this as good a starting place as any unless you happen to know enough about what to do to determine in which forum to post. A suggestion in that direction would help.
Anyway, Apple is backing off from supporting optical media. It also depends upon what you mean by "DVD". A DVD is just an optical disc which can support different file formats, but many people think it means a movie disc you can put in your TV. Producing a movie disc requires special iDVD authoring software Apple used to sell but stopped several years ago. I don't know if the old versions work under newer systems. There's also the free Burn application which authors DVDs but takes a bit of learning and has nowhere near the features of iDVD.
If the OP means simply burning the transferred movie files to a DVD for archiving in computer format you don't need special software for that; its built into the operating system File > New Burn folder etc.
