Trigger Material Delta Load by changing characteristic in R/3

Hello,
We added some functionallity to our R/3 and CRM system in order to map the R/3 characteristic data to CRM attributes (which are added to the product master). During the initial download of materials this works fine.
The delta download is triggered when I change something in the Basic Data or the Sales Org. data in transaction MM02 on the R/3 site, but NOT when I change something in the Classification tab (which holds the characteristics).
Does anyone know how to trigger the Material Delta Load when changes in the Classification tab are made?

Hi Pat,
Use object 'DNL_CUST_SALES' to download Customer Group from R/3 to CRM.
Use R3AS4 transaction to execute the same.

Material delta load parameter table it_marc is empty

Hi,
we are on SRM 7.0 using classic szenario. We use middleware to download material master from ECC. We us BADI Method IF_EX_PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2~MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL to set the material status in SRM depending on MARC data.
When we do the initial download then the parameter table IT_MARC is not empty, and we can use it to set the material status depending on MARC data.
But when the material in ECC is changed, and the delta load runs, the parameter table is empty! Even when values in ECC table MARC are changed. In R3AC1 Filter the table is activ.
Does anyone have an idea why the parameter table IT_MARC is empty in BADI Method?

How to set delta load in process chain

hello all
The scenario is i created process chain for transaction data and all the infopackages are in initial load now I want to do delta,how to set delta in process chain,bcoz only the new records should load?

Hi Balaji,
In most projects thay dont have the "init" infopackages in the process chain. They have 2 infopackages for a load - One for init and the other for delta. Now that you have created the process chain what I suggested was to change the infopackage settings to delta load and change the description of the infopackage.
The other option would be to create a new infopackages for delta and include them in the chain replacing the "init" ones.

DTP Full/Delta loads

I am loading data from one DSO to another. The change log of the source DSO has been deleted for any request before 20 days.
I want to do a full load from active table and then start the delta loads from change log. But the problem is the load is picking up all the previous deltas from change log again, instead of picking deltas after the full load.
Is there a way to do a "init without data transfer", like the option we had before - where it resets the delats so that only the deltas after the full load are picked.

Hello Sachin,
In BI7, there's no longer the notion of delta initialization. Just do a delta from your DSO.
Just load the full data in our DSO and launch the delta, then run the deltas for populating your DSO and the corresponding deltas from it.

Delta loading of the material classification

Hello,
I use 1CL_OMAT001 datasource on order to extract the material classification from R/3 into BW.
The load works in init/delta.
If I change the characteristic value from its value A to ' ' (re-initialized) in R/3, the delta loading will not take into account the modification in BW and therefore, in BW I will always have the value firstly defined (A). But I would like to see ' ' for that characteristic.
Fortunately, when I modify the characteristic value from A to B, the delta loading will take into account the modification and there will be "B" in BW.
Did you notice the same problem ? What did you do then ?
Anybody have a solution ?

we are using the same datasource and we planned to go for delta. but could not manage to do so. the data we are loading is in the range of approx 300000, so rather then going for delta we are doing full load daily with the deletion of previous request. when we think the data is getting huge we do a full load for a required period and the change the selection for the next.
eg: in the infopackage selection for last year we had fiscal year period set to 001.2005 to 012.2005 then once the year is over we change the selection to 001.2006 to 012.2006 and through out the year we have a max of 1 mil records so works fine with us. check this with your requirement.

No initial load of Customers, Material and delta load of Sales Orders.

I am facing a very troublesome issue. I am not able to setup the Middleware portion for initial and delta loads. I read a lot of documents and corrected a lot of things. finally, the connectivity is done with R/3 and CRM. Initial load of all objects is successful (as per Best PRactices guide). Customizing load is successful.
But after now I have these open issues for which I am unable to find any answers (am really exhausted!!):
- Customer_main load, it was succesful, but no BP's of R/3 are available.
- Material, it failed in SMW01, SMQ2, the errors are:
Mat. for Initial Download: Function table not supported
EAN xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
EAN yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
Plant xx is not assigned to a business partner
- Sales order, it shows green bdoc, but error segments says "No upload to R/3" and the order does not flow to R/3.
We had our system setup 3 years back for data transfer and Middleware. But few things changed and connectivity stopped. I did all that again now, but am not yet successful. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

The error messages in SMW01 for MAterial initial load is :
     Mat. for Initial Download: Function table not supported
     EAN 123456789000562 does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
     EAN 900033056531434 does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
     Plant 21 is not assigned to a business partner
I have done the DNL_PLANT load successfully. Why then the plant error?
Some of the messages for BP:
Messages for business partner 1331:
No classification is assigned to business partner 1331
For another,
     Partner 00001872(469206A60E5F61C6E10000009F70045E): the following errors occurred
     City Atlanta does not exist in country US
     Time zone EST_NA does not exist
     You are not allowed to enter a tax jurisdiction code for country US
     Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL, BDoc type BUPA_MAIN.
Now, the time zone EST is assigned by default in R/3. Where do I change that? I do not want to change time zones as this may have other impacts. Maybe CRM I cna change this, not for sure in R/3. City check has been deactivated in R/3 and CRM, still the error.
Till these 2 are not solved, I cannot go into the Sales order loads.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Material delta changes are not flowing into CRM

Dear All,
material delta changes are not flowing into CRM, because the product hierarchy on material has been changed to a new product hierarchy. I do not want to download again the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 because it maight cause inconstancies in CRM. (I have already defined some z product hierarchies in CRM)
Do I need to create the new product hierarchy also in CRM manually?

Hi Raj,
Use the transacrion R3AR2 to create a z object for DNL_CUST_PROD1 and assign DNL_CUST_PROD1 as the object name
Then in request detail screen for new z object enter the details like table name (T179 in your case) and the name of the product hierarchy that you want to bring in. Save the transaction
Then use the transaction R3AR4 to initiate the download for your new z object as you normally do in R3AS.
Then go to SMW01 and reprosess the struck Bdoc.

How to trigger Material CIF change pointers when changing Source List

I need to trigger a Material Change pointer (CIFMAT) creation when the Source List is updated for that material. In BD52 (ALE configuration) table EORD is not an option for CIFMAT message type, so by standard ALE this can not be done automatically. I could not find any BAdI/Userexit which will help me to create a material master change pointer so that the Material (Product) will be sent to APO via the CIF when the Source List in R/3 is changed.

Hi , Can you please check user exit CIFMAT01 function module EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001.You can use this enhancement to influence the logic according to which material data from SAP R/3 is mapped to APO product interface data.
I suggest to put logic in user exit to check table source list table EORD changes & trigger CIF for material master.You can pull change data from table CDPOS using EORD table reference & material object value details.
Based on change record CIF user exist should trigger material CIF run and feed to APO.

Not able to load Material deltas

Hi
I search the SDN forums for delta some suggested to make a init load then do a delta...But when I does that Init load was succesfully loaded with more than 5 lacks records, then I could see the init req in RSA7 too !
But when I create an infopack for Delta and run its giving me an error message...Can any body tell me am I doing anything wrong while getting material deltas in the above process ?

Delta load " material" object ?

I'm new to middleware ,i was trying to download the object material for delta load between R/3 to CRM ,in R3AS it is running more than 2 days &still ...
I am new to this middleware,i am like to know this process takes how much time to excute ?
2)we trying to dwnload saledocument in CRM,sender:r/3 receiver :CRM,but when we start excute for salesdocument it shows error :"no filiter citeria specfied (VBAK-ERDAT),object will not be loaded?

Hi Vasu,
It all depends upon the mass of the data. I recommend you to put some filter and then do the initial load through R3AS. Since your load is running for more than 2 days I will suggest to check the CRM inbound in transaction /nSMQ2. Some time it happens that the queue got stuck due to some error entry.
regarding the salesdocument you should only download the sales document once the load of BP, MATERIAL,CONDITIONS etc are completed. You should also put some filter that till what date you want to load the sales document. To do that you use the Transaction /nR3AC1 and select the object salesdocument and put the filter.

Delta load after upgrade to 2004s - Functional changes

I have some doubts about Delta using DTP.
Our BI landscape has been upgraded to 2004s from 3.1 (technical upgrade). There are many existing delta loads and we cannot afford to mess anything at all. So my question to you all
When we do a functional upgrade...
1. The existing delta from 0FIL_GL_4, AP_4, AR_4, WBS_6, NWA_2 etc all having delta loads right now and go to DSO. The records are in many millions. It is highly unlikely they will allow me to delete the PSA and reload all, because it will take couple of months. So that is out of the question.
We have 3 situations.
1. Delta from Data Source into DSO.
2. Delta from DSO to Cubes
3. Delete from few Cube to Cube.
Questions
1. After converting from Info Package to DTP I will still load the delta from Data Source to PSA, but the data source need to migrated to 2004s. WIll it cause any issues in loading delta data?.
2. The DSO to further targets are using delta info package, I believe I change the info package to DTP with load mode selected as DELTA. Is this correct?

DTP is used to load data only from PSA to Datatargets and DELTA DTP Loads the last PSA request which was transferred to PSA from source.
So 2 plausible ways could be -
1)Delete all PSA data and so your DELTA DTP will get the DELTA load only or new changed posted to PSA only and not all the previous requests ..but you may not want to delete the PSA now.
2)Fake the DTP using some infoobject FILTER selection criteria as blank which acts like INIT w/t data transfer and then do DELTA DTP as mentioned below -

ALE change Pointers for delta load

The master data datasource is 0CRM_BPSALESCL_ATTR, which is in my source system use change pointers for delta loading. When I use delta loading, the error is "ALE change pointers are not set up correctly". I went to the source system, and use BD61 to activate change pointers. But it does not work. Then I created new Business partners to make changes. I can find these new records in table CDHDR and CDPOS, but there is no records found in table BDCP. And my delta loading still got the error as "ALE change pointers are not set up correctly."
Can anybody give me advice?

I relicated the datasource, and re-active the transfer structure, but it still doesn't work. My one more question is that do I run BD61 on BI system or on source system? I did on source system only. And is there any more setting need to be done on source system? Because my error message said setting on source system is wrong.

Change delta load selections

We created a init infopackage with out selections, but the delta loads we have to give some selections (ex: company code=100), can i create directly inforpackage directly? what is the porcedure i have to follow?

Hi Gita,
Delta's always run on the setting on which you have run the INIT.
So, you can't make any changes for Delta IP.
Ya, you need to get some selective delta, for this you need to do transport:(
You can do two ways:
You can hard code your selection in the start routine in BW side or in the Extract structure on R/3 side. I don't recommend both of these unless & until requirement is very specific to this selection only & you are not getting data for other company code.
Another way you can do which is flexible & allow you to load for specific selection is:
1. Go to RSA6 on R/3
2. Select your Data source
3. Tick as Selection against Company code.
4. Transport this R/3 change, Replicate data Source on BW side & activate.
5. You will find Company code appearing in data selection Tab. Make an entry there & load that specific data.

Change Delta load to Full in DSO

Is it possible to change Delta load to Full in DSO without recreate it?

Our data comes from other system not R/3. We chose Delta when designed this DSO. But I thought Full load will make validation easier.
I am testing two Update Options in DTP of this DSO. The options are:
1. Further Processing Without Master Data
2. No Further Processing Without Master Data
I had one testing data contain a ITEM NO that doesn't exist in the Master data. I expect to see 0 gets loaded when number 2 option selected. (This worked)
Also I expect to see 1 records get updated to the DSO when Option 1 is chosen. (I still load 0).
Our business people wants to know what are those ITEMs that do not exist in the Master data. Any ideas? Thank you.
