Trigger script from HTML 2

Can I call a function inside my panel from an html?
How?
Thanks

You should :
1 ) configure the mxi file adding:
<file source="NameOf yourScript.jsx" destination="$scripts" file-type="ordinary" />
between the tags <files> here   </files>
2) place the script file near the mxi file.
3) package the extension to create the installer.
This way the script file will be automatically placed inside photoshop script folder by the installer

  • Shell script from HTML DB ?

    Hello
    I need to call a shell script from HTML DB
    Is it possible ?
    Either directly or thru PL/SQL code etc ?
    Kindly help
    Thanks

    Pooja,
    Your options are Java stored procedures, run from the database, see:
    http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:::::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID:952229840241
    Alternatively, you can use external procedures (EXTPROC).

  • #Include or run script from HTML panel button?

    I'v been trying to make a panel with the HTML widget and I keep running into issues. The buttons I made wont run the scripts. Is there a way to include js for PS inside the html to run when the button is pressed? <script></script> doesn't seem to work for things inside of PS. Or is there a way to run a script in PS from a button?
    I guess I have multiple questions really. Do you always have to use _AdobeInvokeScript inside the button? I have seen some examples without it and I'm not sure what works and what doesn't.

    Thank you Paul!
    %20 is just how space characters are encoded and doesn't matter
    Ye, I know this,.. it`s was my just suggestion...
    So. The solution in this string:
    var scriptFile = File(File($.fileName).parent.parent.absoluteURI + "/Change Render Locations.jsx")
    Everything else is identical, in my script and in your. Of course except alerts. I remove them, and now i have just my button which works fine....
    And may be you can suggest, why does not work "my" method of running the script?
    Thanks again!

  • Running Unix commands and scripts from HTML-DB

    Hi,
    How can I run scripts (like perl scripts) that I have on the UNIX machine that the HTML_DB is installed on.
    How for a start can I run even simple UNIX command like "ls" ?
    Thanx,
    Alon

    Alon,
    Best to try the database forum and search for "external process" or "extproc" for this - it needs setup for the listener and in the database itself.
    You need to be aware - all your commands will be run as the oracle user so you should be very careful who can run them and what commands they can run.

  • ExtendedScript from html page

    Hello,
    can i make script in the extendedScript toolkit(this script place document to indesign application) and run this script from html page?
    or is there integration between extendedscript and html?
    thanks

    HTML pages are usually displayed in web browsers, whose security model is designed specifically against any access to local resources, especially such calls to local applications.
    Besides to browsers, on the Mac, the "Dashboard" allows you to write little applications "widgets" exactly the way you're suggesting. It uses WebKit to display HTML.
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/
    In order to communicate with extendscript, you'd have to go through the operating system's command line.
    http://developer.apple.com/documentation/AppleApplications/Conceptual/Dashboard_ProgTopics /Articles/CommandLine.html
    From there you'd invoke the scripting system with "OSAScript"
    http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Reference/Manpages/man1/osascript.1.html
    then pass on your extendscript and arguments into InDesign via doScript.
    Another alternative to the main HTML browser is AIR, which also has an instance of WebKit for HTML display.
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/air/1/quickstartshtml/
    Apparently it is possible to invoke BridgeTalk - the Creative Suite's inter application communication used by extendscript - straight from AIR. I don't yet have references how to do that, found the link below just yesterday.

  • Send data from html to flash action script

    Hi,
    I would like my flash to act differently depending on what
    html page it is on. Can I send information from html code to action
    script?

    Hi,
    Yes you can, by using FLASHVARS. Refer the attached code for
    example. Also you can use Javascript setVariable method of Flash
    object to set values in between i.e. after the page has loaded, as
    in case of FLASHVARS these are sent to flash just at the begining
    i.e. once SWF loads. In the attached exmple i've sent 2 variables
    to Flash one is 'username' and other is 'userId', thse will be
    fetched inside flash movie as _root.username and _root.userId.
    Note: I've added flashvars as PARAM and also as an attribute
    for EMBED tag (used by Mozilla, NS etc)
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Sumeet

  • 11g - calling shell script from trigger

    From what I read so far, starting from 11g onward user credential IS REQUIRED in order to call the shell script from database procedure/trigger.  I am working in a shop where they used SSO (so no password) and having a local user with password is not possible.
    I wonder if anyone used any other method to call the shell scripts from database procedure/trigger?
    Thanks all

    performance is not going to be a problem for this requirement b/c it ONLY happened after the startup or before the shutdown.
    That still -- even more so --- sounds like a bad idea.  Exactly what does this shell script accomplish that needs to be triggered by database startup/shutdown?

    paragIf you are in 10g, you can simple call shell script from DBMS_SCHEDULER:
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
    job_name => 'TEST_SCRIPT',
    job_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
    job_action => 'PATH_OF_YOUR_SCRIPT',
    start_date => SYSDATE,
    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=MINUTELY; INTERVAL=1',
    enabled => TRUE,
    comments => 'Shell script from Oracle'
    END;

  • Initiating a perl script from a trigger

    I want to kick off a perl script from an Oracle trigger. Is this possible?

    Not directly. At least as far as I know.
    Here's how I see this done.
    You should have a sqlplus running in background and waiting for an alert. On receipt of the alert the sqlplus will call a host(my_command) that will kick the named script.

    Here is working example for your HTML using xpath to extract values from html
    You can store your html response in clob variable and then extract the value with xpath
    declare

       l_xml xmltype;
