TRIGGERING IDOCs IN TWO STEP PROCESSING POSDM ?

Hello Experts,
Could you please explain me why the two step processing is used in POSDM? Is it due to better performace?
And also how the IMG configuration is handled? Once the aggregate tasks are processed how do we TRIGGER THE IDOCS?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
You trigger the IDoc creation via transaction /POSDW/ODIS.
The reason for the 2 step processing a quite a lot. One example is performance. In a 2 step scenario you can trickle tha data during the day and add them to an aggregate as they come into POS DM. At the end of the day you only need to trigger the second step which is simply moving the data fromt the aggregate to an interface.
Furthermore it is much easier to trace the data flow as you can see what line items went into which aggregate and which aggregate has been pushed into which idoc.

  • Stock Transfer Order two step process

    Hi!
we are following stock transfer order in two step process along with WM
we are using movement types 641 & 101.
Now our client rerquiement is : when goods issue is posting in supply plant ( movement type 641), the accounting entry should be Goods in Transit A/C dr TO Stock Account Cr.
when goods receipt is posting in receiving plant the accounting entry should be : Stock Account a/c dr to Goods in Transit A/C, if there are price differences it will be posted to price difference accounts ( both have price control "S").
    how can we acheive this.
Now only at the time of 641 or 101 we posting the accounting document as: Stock A/C dr ( receiving plant) to Stock A/C Cr ( issuing plant) and price difference.
    regs,
    ramesh

we can a report in MB5T, but there you cannot find value of the stock, only quantity of stock, as in STO, there will not be any price, that is the problem.

  • Two step process of creating G/l

    Hi,
Please advise what is two step process of creating a g/l. i know creating it through fs00. but there is another way of creating ti thru company code and chart of accounts. CAn anybody help me?

    Hi
FS00 is to create GL account Centrally. Using this transaction you will be able to create the account in 1 step.
The 2 step approach is to use transaction FSP0 to create at chart of account level. Then use transaction FSS0 to create at company code level.
    Regards.

  • Upgrade to 7.3 in a two step process

while upgrading from 7.0 to 7.3, we are using a two step approach:
    1. Upgrade to EHP1 from BW7.0
    2. Upgrade to 7.3 from EHP1
We are doing this as our current SAP BI system is on BI7.0 SP 14. My question is should we do a post check after we move to EHP1 or can i wait to move to 7.3 and then do a complete system scan then?

    Hi Vasavi,
Suggestion will be to do basic Post upgrade Checks after EHP1 Upgrade. I am not sure to which SP level you are planning to upgrade (SP06 , 07 or 08). But doing these Post upgrade Checks & correcting issues at that time would ensure you do not end up in big list of issues once u upgrade to BW 7.3.
When we upgraded to EHP1 SP04 initially, we faced certain issues like DSO load getting failed, Process Chain Issue, Broadcasting issues etc. So for better Issue management perspective, my suggestion will be to do Post upgrade checks after EHP1 upgrade as well.
    Thanks

  • Is creating a ringtone a Two step process?

i have a new Iphone 3GS and I want to create ringtones for it. It appears that you have to buy the song and downlad it first for say $.99 and then once it is in YOUR library, you then can create a ringtone from it, which then costs you *another* $.99. is this correct, or is there a way to pick the song and create a ringtone from it in one step for just one fee?
    Thank You

OrangeMarlin, You do NOT need a Mac to make free ringtones. Use this guide:
    http://www.intomobile.com/2008/10/07/iphone-ringtones-create-free-iphone-rington es-using-itunes-8.html
You can make ringtones out of ANY song for FREE. It is safe and simply a way of converting the .m4a audio to a .m4r ringtone... I've done this many times. lol.

  • I am running 6.1 and want to upgrade to 7.1 then to 10.1.  I understand this is a two step process and can find where to upgrade from 7.1 to 10.1 but cannot find 6.1 to 7.1.   Can anyone head me in the right direction?

Where can I find the pathway to upgrade my 6.1 iMac to the Lion 7.1 and then to the Montian Lion 10.1.   I think I have to update to Lion before I can update to montian Lion but cannot find the upgrade to take me from 6.1 to 7.1

What are we talking about here? You've posted in a Windows forum, but seems you are referring to an iMac. But you are not referring to OS X version numbers. Maybe you should make clear what you want.

  • Processing a Two-Step Group in parts

    Dear all,
I am processing my Two step group with LT0e and would like to process it partially.
Is there a way to do that?
Some background: When Picking from one of the Storage Types I want to use a Return Storage Type. Since this applies to one Outbound flow only, I have defined the Return Storage Type in my WM movement, NOT in the Pick Storage Type.
In 2-step customizing, I have omitted the movement type, and am entering the Movement Type myself in LT0e. Only thing, I want to be able to make some kind of selection here so with my Movement Type I process only those items from the One Storage Type I am focussing on.
    To much info?
Again, thank you for your time.
    Sandeep

In LT0E once you have selected your group and via subsequent function do the picking step(2step picking -> start picking), you should be able to make the lines which you dont require "Inactive". Then you have only those lines for which you want to do the picking with your required movement type.

  • Whenever the idoc triggers its contains two lines of record,

    Hi Experts,
In my IDOC INFREC.INFRECMASS01 has two segments E1E1NAM and E1E1NEM.Both the Segments has some fields. In that E1E1NEM segment-WERKS contains two valuse, First its coming with 1010. Second its coming with 1014.So its Second line.So whenever the idoc triggers its contains two lines of record, Each i need to update in JDBC At same time. How? Even i tried SplitByValue with ValueChange its not working.... please help....
    Advance Thanks
    Arun

We are working on IDOC to JDBC scenario.
In my IDOC INFREC.INFRECMASS01 has one  segment E1E1NAM( parent segment), inside this parent segment we have one  child segment E1E1NEM containing two lines. On the basis of one field WERKS, the child segments should get repeated in the target  but in the target side we are getting only one of the values of WERKS .
We have used SPLIT BY VALUE(each value) on WERKS but still only one of the values are coming on the target side .
We are attaching the source xml and the target xml generated from RWB

YouTube does not use Adobe Reader. Videos do not use Adobe Reader.
Adobe Reader is used only to show files in a special format called "PDF".
What you are having problems with is probably Adobe Flash Player.
So, if you are trying to solve problems with Adobe Flash Player by downloading Adobe Reader, or even Adobe Acrobat, it isn't going to help you in the end. Is that what is happening (we can't really tell without screen pictures, but it seems a likely guess).

  • Locked out of Apple ID AND lost Recovery Key for two-step verification

    Hey guys,
Firstly, as the title implies, this is a double-whammy of a problem, and obviously, it is very much my fault. The reason I'm bothering to post this, however, is to find out if anyone else has had this issue and where they are at with it.
    The story:
I set up two-step verification on my Apple ID about a year ago as I thought it was a good idea. I wrote the Recovery Key down as it told you to, and put it in a folder full of other important documents. In a epic mental lapse, however, I now remember later throwing out that folder, forgetting about my Recovery Key. Ya, that is my fault, I'm and idiot. Anyways...
Fast forward to a few days ago, and I all of a sudden received messages on all my devices saying that my Apple ID had been disabled for security reasons, and that I had to reset the account in order to regain access to it. Scary, but no problem, right? Well, after entering my Apple ID into iForgot.com, the first thing it asked me for was my Recovery Key. This is around the time I was banging my head against the wall in realization that I had thrown it away, but I was relieved to see the "Lost your Recovery Key?" option at the bottom of the screen. I was even more relieved to discover that I had what I needed to reset it: my current password and a trusted Apple device. The catch was that to reset it, I needed to log into my Apple ID to initiate it, which of course I couldn't do because it had been disabled, and the only way for me to disable it is, again, to enter in my Recovery Key. This effectively put me in and endless loop, without any apparent way of gaining accesses to my account. I did contact Apple about it, and I was ultimately told that the lock on my account was so tight, that not even Apple could gain access to it.
I understand that this level of security is probably the whole reason for the two-step verification in the first place, and I again concede that it was extremely foolish of me for forgetting about and discarding my Recovery Key, but a few things still don't make sense...
    1. Why would they put a "Lost your Recovery Key?" link on the password recovery page when a password is needed to reset the Recovery Key itself?
    2. As far as I can remember, Apple, in their briefing of how two-step verification works, did not bring up this scenario, which is probably relatively common. They DO mention that they can't help when you don't have access to two of the three necessary things for recovery, but they never brought up the apparent exception of if the account is disabled, in which case having two of the three things needed is not enough. I don't understand how they couldn't have mentioned this scenario.
    3. Given the above thought, how could Apple not have some sort of special contingency for this type of situation? I profess my ignorance of how these types of systems are set up, but I would feel that there should be a special method for recovery in place if the account has been locked, and the owner is able to verify that they have the password and trusted devices.
I didn't mean to make it sound like a rant. I ADORE Apple, but this system seems like it's less than perfect.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so, is your situation similar to mine?
    Thanks for any response!

    Hey everyone.
It's been awhile, but I wanted to share with anyone who is interested some general knowledge about this issue that I have learned while communicating with Apple support. Unsurprisingly, the issue is still unresolved, and I am under the impression that it will remain that way, but I'm still trying to get in touch with one of the senior representatives I spoke with a while ago who seemed to think that there might be a solution, so I suppose there is still a chance that things could turn out for the better.
    Here's the rundown:
Anytime you are unable to sign in to or access your account because of "security reasons", your account is under what is called a "DS Lockout".
A DS Lockout on an Apple ID can be triggered for a few reasons, such as when too many failed logins to the Apple ID (using an incorrect password) are attempted, or when a purchase is made that Apple believes to be fraudulent.
Under normal circumstances, a DS Lockout only lasts for 8 hours, after which the lock is lifted and access to the account by inputting the correct password is re-enabled.
This is where the catch for anybody who set up two-step verification is.
According to one of Apple's security representatives, IF you have two-step verification enabled upon being inflicted with a DS Lockout, the 8-hour lockout period is extended indefinitely as an additional security measure (a feature, I suppose). Therefore, the only way to regain access to the account is by resetting the password, as waiting for the lockout to expire is no longer an option. And of course, resetting your password, as stated by Apple, is one of the situations in which you need your Recovery Key. EVEN IF YOU KNOW WHAT THE ACCOUNT'S CURRENT PASSWORD IS, the lockout prevents you from being able to input it as a means of authentication. You MUST reset your password in order to regain access, and you MUST input your recovery key in order to reset your password.
So, that seems to be the gist of it. It does make sense, but here's my problem:
Upon setting up two-step verification, Apple does warn you of many things, but they do not make any mention of this specific scenario. Indeed, it is very much my fault for loosing my verification key, but the thing is, I’m human, I make mistakes, and I know that I will continue to do so. One of the reasons I chose to take the risk of setting up two-step verification is because Apple explicitly stated that as long as I had access to two of the three required "keys" -- my Recovery Key, my password, and at least one of my trusted Apple devices -- I would always be able to gain access to my account. In other words, as long as I didn’t screw up so bad as to loose access to two of my keys, I’d be okay. Obviously, there is a huge exception to this case that, again, is not mentioned anywhere, hence all the confusion. Had I know that it was possible that it could come down to me needing a single, specific key to regain access to my account, I probably would have opted out of two-step verification, recognizing that as a busy college student who's constantly reorganizing and dealing with tons of forms, worksheets, and other various documents, it's not as easy to hold on to a slip of paper as it might be for others. I'm hoping that at some point, Apple adds a big, red warning to the setup process which reads something like:
"In the event that your Apple ID is locked due to a detected security risk, your Recovery key will be necessary to regaining access to your account; knowing your password and/or having access to any of your trusted devices will no longer be enough."
I really do appreciate how seriously Apple takes its security, but I think that there is still room for improvement. This should start with more clearly and fully stating the conditions of its security measures, as well as having its customer support be more educated on these conditions (they themselves stated that they had never been trained on issues revolving around two-step verification). Protecting someone's private information is important, but so too is making every possible effort to ensure that customers can't easily loose access to all the content and services that they have spent much time and money building up and using.
As stated above, I'm still trying to get a hold of the Apple representative who initially assisted me, so if I have any additional updates, I'll be sure to reply to this thread. I hope that anyone who is going through the same issue, or is simply curious, finds this information to be useful.

  • Two step confirmation with RF device (Mobile Data Entry) - 1st step only

    Hello
I want to implement the following scenario:
    - WM transfer orders are created, relevant for two step confirmation;
    - a user working with RF device confirms the 1st step - picking;
    - then the materials are transported physically to another building (the same warehouse number);
    - another user working with RF device confirms the 2nd step - putaway.
For confirming the 1st step I tried to use standard transaction LM07. Confirmation of the 1st step is working fine but right after that a screen for confirming the 2nd step is displayed to the user. I would like this transaction to finish just after confirming the 1st step and not to proceed with the 2nd step immediately - because the confirmation of the 2nd step should be done by another user (with some other transaction).
What is more: if you exit the transaction manually after confirming the 1st step the system saves the TO number (in table LRF_WKQU) and in some circumstances triggers the screen for confirming the 2nd step even if you do not run LM07 - this is so called "recovery" function which is a nuisance in my case.
So my question is: is there a way to customize LM07 so that it finished processing automatically right after confirming the 1st step for a two step confirmation TO ? (and without storing data for "recovery" function). Or maybe some other mobile-data-entry transaction should be used for that ?
    regards

    Hi Vlad,
One more information, which i would like to communicate on this issue.
We have raised OSS message to SAP on this issue. They have replied back that, on screen 1302, we have some custom code which is interfering with the system behavior.
As of now, we have analyzed at our end, and we found that, the enhancement at screen 1302 is restricted for the functionality, and in theory, this enhancement should not be effecting at all the system behavior.
SAP has suggested to test the scenario , without any enhancement on screen 1302.
Still we are in discussion with SAP, and try to find out the resolution.
Can you also check in your system, if you have any enhancement on screen 1302 ? And if yes, does it interfering with the stander SAP codes.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raj.

  • File to idocs - sequence of inbound processing

    Hi everybody,
we have a file to (2) idocs scenario. In XI we map the received data of vendors into two idocs (adrmas and cremas). After building the idocs we send them in that sequence to the reveiver systems (recommended). The problem is that in the receiver system very often the idoc cremas wants to be processed before adrmas is ready. This leads to the error "vendor xy is blocked by user sapale". Especially for massprocessing I get a lot of these error-messages in bd87. As workaround I processed all the error-idocs by the report rbdmani2. (First step adrmas - second step cremas) But then I face missing data in some cases in table lfa1 - which seems to me that the sequence of 1. adrmas and 2. cremas was not correct processed.
Is there a possibility for inbound processing with the rule process adrmas - wait until ready - process the associated cremas and so on?
I checked the sap-help article for seralisation - but we could not achieve a better result by queing the outgoing messages in the xi.
    Thanks very much.
    With kind regards
    Jörg

You have to get a solution based on the following concepts
    1. Do not use BPM it is not efficient
    2. Understand what is the difference between an IDOC in received state and processed state. Received state mean IDOC is saved into IDOC table. Processed state mean IDOC processed into the business system.
    3. You can ASK BASIS guy to turn on the immediate IDOC processing option in SAP system,so that SAP process the IDOC as soon as it arrive in IDOC table. This is not efficient, in case if your SAP system has to process SAP online client request and SAP document (inbound and outbound) same time.
    4. Understand the concept of standard based integration, mean integration system provide the option to business parties to provide the successfull message transfer.
Based on all these points I recomend you to follow the steps below.
    1. Extract each record from the input files into two idocs.
    2. Send the first IDOC to the receiving system
    3. Send the second IDOC to a ESB storage such as DATABASE, JMS Queue, MQ Series Q (if you have available) or even to another File.
    4. Develop an RFC module to check the status of the IDOC being send to the receiving system. Status here mean whether the IDOC data processed into the business system. You can do this lookup using a custom RFC lookup using the attribute connecting the first IDOC record with second IDOC.
    5. Process the records (second IDOC) from the intermediate storage using the RFC lookup into the business system updates its status as ready to deliver.
    6. Using another process such as FILE to IDOC or JMS to IDOC or JDBC to IDOC send each record which are ready to process from intermediate storage to the receiving system.
    7. Create a report using FILE or JMS, JDBC adaptor module to keep track of these three stage processing, so that in case an inconsistency happed you will have an auditing trace available.
This is the standard based integration approach.
ABAP guys, BASIS guys they may not get it when then repair a BMW in local auto workshop, cuz I had to fight with them 4 years ago to make it happen in Verizon supply chain project where I had to accomplish the same concept in SAME IDOCS you mentioned here.
BPM, turning on immediate processing of IDOCS etc will end up in buying another 16 CPU hardware and BASIS guys or ABAP guys running BAD record IDOC processing report for 350.00 hr consulting FEES.
SAP is a good company and XI is a good product, as long as it is being used as per right usage.
