Triggering of alert by email or message after completion of background job

Can any let me know if there is a scope for creating and alert by Email or by Message on completion of a Background job?
- if yes please let me know the procedure.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

Read Error logs after running the background jobs

Hi,
How to read the error logs after running the background jobs. In our scenarion we are running the COHV transaction to release the production orders in background. But we are not finding the error logs after background job. We would like to read the error logs and correct for further processing.

you can check the back ground jobs defined by any user in SM37 and where you can see the spool and job logs as well.
plz check in your case and revert back

We are Upgrading the PRD server.after after upgrade the background job (user specific ) jobs are mannully started are atuomatically started.I check the job btctrns2.
The user specfic jobs are not started.

Thanks for your help! I imported the table into Muse, then exported the site as html and opened it in Dreamweaver. I should've tried that in the first place but gave up when I couldn't edit it in Muse. I didn't know you could edit the html right in Muse. Also, my styling and the images I was using weren't showing up in Muse but once I opened it in Dreamweaver, everything fell into place. AND I could edit it! My client needs to edit this page every week, so I needed to be sure she could do that. She doesn't use Muse but does use Dreamweaver. At this point, I think I'll leave it alone and not try to style it with inline css. Maybe when I get a little more time, I'll try it. I just don't want to mess things up now that the're working.

Error message supercedes output in background job.

Hi,
When I run my ALV report in foreground, the output (of several pages) is correctly presented, and upon clicking "BACK", the screen displays the authorization message "Personnel numbers skipped by database driver : ... Reason 1 : insufficient authorization, no. skipped personnel nos : .." which is expected, as the user is subjected to authorization granted to the user.
However, when I run the job in background and upon completion, the spool shows only 1 page, i.e. the authorization message above is displayed on the spool output, and the report/output list result is suppressed. Is there a way to get the output of the report instead of the authorization message above ?

Kir,
This is a common problem which everyone faces when running such reports with Error messages in the background. Any error message that encounters in the background mode would make the job to fail.
So, what you can do develop your own message class and give the error messages as Information messages. But, as you told that you are running it on PNP Database and you cannot have access to change it I dont think there is another way to achieve this.

I got a similar requirement but cant able to find a solution for this. Please help me if you have a solution.
A email notification need to be sent to the recipient email id maintained in the broadcaster setting, if the broadcasting fails due to any particular reason.
I started to write a custom program to determine the broadcasting log, but i was not able to find the link between the broadcaster setting and its log (particularly for the scheduling option)
Please let me know if there is any better solution than the custom program.

Dolby Advanced Audio V2 Error Message After Lenovo Update

I received the following error message after completing a Lenovo Update: "The current Dolby audio driver version is 8.2.8000.14 and the software application expects driver version 7.2.7000.7. Please install a valid driver and software application." I have run Lenovo Update again and no updates/downloads were required. What action do I need to take to correct the problem so that Dolby Advanced Audio V2 works correctly? Thank you for your help.

even though it was originally described as an E430 problem, there are reports in the thread that uninstalling Conexant Audio from Control Panel and rebooting fixed the Dolby Audio issue.

Trigger a background job after executing tcode MMPV

I would like to trigger a background job after executing tcode MMPV. In MMPV, after closing a particular period and entering
new period, the transaction will be saved. After saving, the background job should be triggered. How to do it?

Depending what system you are on your best bet would be to create an enhancement point inside a form, that is called after the save has been performed, and raise an event within that form.
Events can be used to trigger background jobs are maintained in transaction SM62.

I have an alv report.when the user clicks a toolbar button on alv report some transaction runs in the background.When the user again clicks again the same button while still the background job is running i need to pop up a error message saying that already background job is running for this routine.How can i do that?any sample code please?

If the user Press the Button, then check whether the background is running , if the nackground is running then raise a pop-up and give a mesage saying that 'A background program is still running'.
to check whether the Background is running or not ---> Goto Table TBTCO, then give the Job name and get the status, if the status is still running then give the message, if the status is completed then run the job

I have configured SAPConnect to email sending. We have one SMTP node with a default mail host. I wish to send a email messages on other SMTP host when default host is inaccessible. Is there any standart scenario?

I used to think you would normally have only one node. If you managed to configure two nodes, the config will still work.
Because sending action is triggered by the RSCONN01 background job that works based on the type of Address i.e. that is based on internet address, fax adress etc.
So, it shouldn't matter.
