Here we are using Repetitive manufacturing for both paper mill and power plant.
Three Paper mills as one plant and two power plants,each a separate plant.So we are generating Power (FG) and LP steam (FG)
by using HP steam (SFG) and generating HP steam (SFG) by burning coal in boiler in Power plant.The LP steam is used in paper
mill for making paper and power is consumed for running the paper mill.
In power plants we are considering HP steam as semifinished goods , Power and LP steam as Finished goods.
So,
1) How to book production for Power and LP steam in power plants.If we consider Power and LP steam as finished goods while
doing backflush we have to give a storage location.Then how to clear the stock.Even if we consider it as non stock item , while
doing backflush the system will ask for storage location.Same for HP steam (semi finished goods).So how to solve this.
In paper mill , we are considering Power and LP steam as activities , I believe it the better option than putting it in BOM of paper
which is produced in paper mill.
Plz suggest a way to map this.

Crucial M4 128GB - Secure Erase | Trim | Optimization?
Hey guys, I have had a Crucial M4 128GB in my Alienware M14X for about 4 years now. It has been an awesome drive and I have never had any trouble with it. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and then used Parted Magic to Secure Erase to do a clean install of Windows 10. I have also upgraded to the latest firmware. I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer: 1. Is it bad to Secure Erase this drive? Should I just delete the partitions instead? (obviously this is for future knowledge)2. Is there a way to check if TRIM is enabled?3. Are there any things I should do to optimize my SSD? Thanks!

1. Usually there is no need to use secure erase and many users have never used it. Secure erase won't harm the drive but it will use one of NAND memory erase cycles, M4's NAND is rated for 3000 cycles.
2. In order to check if TRIM is enabled you can use following command in the command prompt window:
fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify
and it should return
DisableDeleteNotify = 0
Possible results:
DisableDeleteNotify = 0 (Windows TRIM commands are enabled)
DisableDeleteNotify = 1 (Windows TRIM commands are disabled)
In order to check if TRIM is really working you can use TRIMCheck tool, and that is you really want to check
3. There are no more special things you should do. In fact I would just use TRIMCheck to verify if the TRIM commands are really working. If you want you can also check if the partitions on the SSD are aligned properly, you can do it with AS SSD Benchmark, it should show you green OK in the upper left part of the window. It will also show if the system is using AHCI SATA mode but I believe it should be default mode in your M14X

the multi item order concept is the technical foundation for various solutions in the context of mill products, like the trim order created through the trim optimization interface in APO, or the combined order in in IS-MP or similar industry specific special cases.
What would you need to know specifically and for what kind of process?
There are already a number of use cases realized and available in standard SAP ERP with the IS-MP extension.

Printing of a logo and text on business cards, paper, etc.
Dear reader(s),
Let me introduce myself; my name is Matthew Hennessy from the Netherlands and I mostly PhotoShop, Illustrate for a hobby (for the last 5 years).
In the past 5 years I have learned a lot when it comes to designing, but this isn't enough. A few weeks ago my boss asked me to design a new logo and new text, with the intention of using it on business cards, brief paper and envelopes.
Now here comes the part you have seen coming, I really need to know a few things about the printing process, and the settings necessary to make a 'print ready' file. I have already done some research, but still some things are very unclear to me. If any answers could be given to the following questions, that would be more than appreciated!
Questions:
1. Crop marks - I have seen a lot of tutorials on the internet where people refer to 'crop marks', why are these necessary? What are they? What are they used for? How can I set the preferences and how can I see if I use the 'crop marks' correctly?
2. Trim marks - I have seen a few people talking about this. Are 'trim marks' the same as 'crop marks'?
3. Bleeding - this is something I really try to figure out, and already did my best but I'm not getting any wiser! Example given of my problem:
I'm planning to (when this comes to an end), order business cards, brief paper and envelopes on Vistaprint (Dutch site). The preferred size is 1. 90mm x 52mm (complete document) or 2. 87mm x 49mm (cut off).
What is the difference between these two sizes? I suppose this has something to do with the bleeding, but what?
Now this is what confuses me, and I don't think I'm the only one:
3.1. I made a new document in Illustrator CS5, with the 'complete document' measurements 90mm x 52mm (300DPI, CMYK). Do I need to input bleeding before I push ok?
3.2. I made a new document in Illustrator CS5, with the 'cut off document' measurements 87mm x 49mm (300DPI, CMYK). Do I need to input bleeding before I push ok?
4. Is there a checklist or anything to do this perfectly? As you can imagine I don't want to mess this up.

Forget so-called "Crop Marks." Crop Marks and Crop Region are Illustrator-specific terms. It's an Illustrator feature that creates a set of (grossly oversized) printable marks on the Artboard for the printing house to use as trim indicators and/or (depending on version) to define a region for output when you export the file in certain formats. Other programs in Illustrator's genre don't even have this feature because it's really not necessary. Historically, it was Illustrator's workaround for its lack of a proper bleed feature and single-page limitation. I never even use Illustrator's Crop Marks. If I want trim marks to print, I simply draw my own.
Trim marks is an industry term. Trim marks are short hairlines which align to the edges at which you want the paper to be trimmed after printing, but are placed outside the actual trim rectangular area so that they get trimmed away. In most projects destined for offset printing, it's a good practice to draw proper trim marks in the bleed area of the page. The print dialog also provides a Printer Marks feature that will cause trim marks (among other things) to print outside the Artboard. (You don't need to worry about that in this scenario.)

So as explained above, Illustrator Crop Marks is an Illustrator feature commonly used to draw trim marks. I don't use that feature. It wastes space.

Bleed is an industry term that simply means you want ink to print "right to the edge of the paper." That's not actually possible on a commercial offset press. So if the design requires "right to the edge of the paper" printing, you cheat: You print on a larger-than-final-size sheet, put trim marks to indicate the final size of the piece, and design so that anything that is supposed to "print to the edge" actually extends beyond those trim marks. Theoretically, if the physical processes of commercial printing were perfect, you could draw your design "just to" the trim. But paper expands and shrinks with humidity changes, Press sheets jog around a bit as they get picked up by the suction lifts and grippers and shoved and squished between the rollers. (It's a mechanical miracle that the process works at all, and has for over a century. A full-size CMYK offset sheetfed press is a marvelous piece of engineering.) After printing and drying the sheet is trimmed at the trim marks, and the artwork that extends beyond the trim marks is chopped off.
Typically in commercial offset printing, 1/8 inch of "extra artwork" beyond the trim is sufficient to allow for the inaccuracies of the process.
Now here's the thing: If you are working in the traditonal manner with a commercial printing house, you know the press size and sheet size that will be used for the project. You can do all kinds of things at the design stage to minimize unnecessary work at the printing house by "designing for the press sheet." For example, in the press houses with which I work, I would never deliver a business card project output file as a single-card image on a single-card-sized page. No conventional offset printer is going print business cards one-card-at-a-time on 3.5 x 2 inch sheets. They are going to "gang" (step & repeat) multiple images of the card on one press sheet.
Typically, I would know in advance the press sheet size that is going to be used and the necessary space for gripper and press sheet margins. I would set up the software page to the size of the press sheet and arrange multiple instances of the card in that space. I would draw my own trim marks for each card in the array. If the sheet size is such that it will result in alot of paper just going in the waste bin, I may design some other piece in the otherwise unused area (a bookmark or hangtag, for example) and thereby get an "almost free" second document out of the press run. If the cards is designed to be printed on both sides, I will often arrange the page to accommodate "work and turn" printing, wherein both sides of the card gets printing on one side of the sheet, the sheets are simply flopped over and run through the press again. That avoids the need for a second press setup.
But since everybody and his third cousin's nephew is now a "designer," many printing houses have set up "click & drag" printing solutions on the web. Such solutions make it "quick & easy" (not necessarily cheaper) for the neophyte and "idiot proof" for the printer by removing the above-described flexibility and designing "one size fits all" workflows. That's what you're chasing with the Vistaprint vendor.

In the Vistaprint .ai template for design-your-own business cards I just downloaded to see what you're talking about, they have the artboard set to accommodate a design with bleed. You don't have to design bleeding elements, but the space is there if you do.
The AI Artboard (page) is 90 x 52 mm. Think of that as your bleed area. If there are elements in your design that you want to "print to the edge" of the finished card, draw them all the way to the edges of the Artboard. The printer is, in effect, telling you that if you do that, then you will be providing enough "extra" artwork to accommodate the inherent variances in the printing/triming process.
The (grossly overthick) 87 x 49mm red rectangle is the trim. So it effectively is the "trim marks". It represents the final card after it is trimmed down to final size. That's the size your cards will be when delivered. That roughly coresponds to the 3.5 x 2 inch dimensions that are considered the norm in the US. I don't know about what's the convention in Europe, but assuming it is the same as in the US, that's the size you want the cards to be. Business cards that are even slightly oversized usually end up in the trash can because they often don't fit pockets in card-carriers or plastic sleeves.
The (grossly overthick) blue rectangle is the so-called "safe area". That's nothing more than a suggested "safe design margin" between your artwork and the trim. The idea is that you are supposed to keep any elements of the design that you don't want to risk getting "too close" to the edges of the final piece--or even getting chopped off by the trim--within that rectangle. Magazines and newspapers are also fond of providing "safe area" in their add space specs. I ignore them. I know what kind of visual "margins" I want in my designs and I know when I am risking getting too close to the trim. But an amateur designer may think it brilliant to "make a title as big as possible" and actually crowd text almost right up against the trim (in other words, poor design). Then he gets upset when the normal variance in the printing/trimming process causes the text to actually get cut on some of the finished pieces. By providing that rectangle, the printer is telling you "Don't blame us if some of your artwork is too close to the trimmed edge if you place that artwork beyond this rectangle."

In the "idiot proof" template that Vistaprint has provided, they are treating the Artboard size as the bleed, and the red rectangle as the trim. So there is no need for you to include trim or bleed marks in your design.
Just set up your AI document exactly as the template that Vistaprint provided. Better, actually use their document file and paste your artwork into it on the Layer named "Your Design". When arranging your artwork, leave the (poorly named) "Guides" Layer visible, but locked. Make any art elements (background fills, etc.) that you want to "print to the edge" of the finished card extend all the way to the Artboard edge. Keep all other design elements within the "safe margin" blue rectangle.
All this is explained, by the way, in the See Accepted File Types link on the Vistaprint site.
When done, delete the Layer named "Gudies." Deliver the file to the printer. I would not deliver the .ai file; I would deliver a PDF. If you insist on delivering as an .ai file, convert all text to paths (a practice I despise). If you deliver as PDF, simply choose File>Save A Copy... in Illustrator. In the resulting dialog, select Adobe PDF as the file type. In the next dialog, leave the top menu set to Illustrator Defaults, but set the compatibility popup to Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3). That should be fine.

Companies are working to improve the efficiency of their supply chains and thereby reduce working capital, increase transaction velocity and improve inventory turnover. Mergers, acquisitions and alliances are reshaping the pulp and paper industry. This pressure has led to massive IT investments and a continuous rebuild of the IT environments in order to meet efficiency challenges. Although many pulp and paper mills have invested a lot in building up their business supporting IT, especially Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, the return on investment is often difficult to measure. There is a lot of potential to improve usability of systems by harmonising business processes and integrating the systems more efficiently in order to better support actual business needs.
Most pulp and paper industry companies have thus come to a point where a more radical rebuild and renewal of the entire IT and network environment is required. Fortunately, the conditions for this have improved over the last few years, due largely to an increasing range of commercially available application platforms adopted for the pulp and paper industry, the acceptance of common industry standards, and the evolution of refined integration and migration methods.
Renewing and harmonising the companys operations and IT systems is still, however, a demanding undertaking. Securing continuous operations, while at the same time replacing the core systems and processes, requires a high level of expertise in pulp and paper industry processes and information technology. To complement the in-house competence, the pulp and paper industry will need to establish partnerships with outside solution providers and system integrators. To minimise risks and keep control of business-critical technology, new delivery models will be a necessity.

Sales order rejected in ECC does not reflect in APO
Hi Friends,
We are working on ECC6 and APO7.0 for a paper mill- IS Mill functionality. We have MTO ATP with block planning and a exernal trim application. The sales order is rejected in ECC but did not reflect in APO. This has not appeared in daily CCR monitoring also. The order is trimmed, i.e planned for production. I dont see the rejection in APO table: /SAPAPO/SD_DOC Beow are the sequence of events:
-Order rejected 3/25
-Sales order 42678-20 had planned order 587645.
-Planned order 587645 is part of the enquee 4487 that was downloaded to trim on 4/4. Well after the rejection.
Please guide me if there is any way to prevent such occurences, leading to unnecessary planning, blocking of capacities.

I haven't worked with SCM when linked to IS_MILL, so I am not speaking from experience. However, I have worked with SCM and ERP Baseline, so I will be speaking from this perspective.
You didn't mention how your GATP is configured, and what planning modules you have implemented in SCM. These facts definitely can have an impact on the supply elements (planned or production orders), and what should/should not happen to these supply orders.
You also didn't mention what indicated to you that the Sales order is inconsistent between the two system. FYI just looking at tables is not a definitive method. The most important bits of information lie in LiveCache.
I don't know what is meant by "Planned order 587645 is part of the enquee 4487 ", so I will assume it is some customized interface, and I will ignore this statement for the moment.
So, I will just make a couple of suggestions as a starting point. If the sales order is actually rejected, it should not appear in R/3 MD04. Does it? If so, run program SDRQCR21 in R/3. The inconsistent order should then disappear from MD04.
If MD04 does not show the sales order (as it shouldn't), but /SAPAPO/RRP3 does show the sales order, then run program /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 in SCM.
If neither MD04 not //RRP3 currently shows the sales order, then please tell me why you think there is a problem.

Production order with pipe line material
Production ordre created and got confirmed and found pipe line materials got stuck in COGI and on analysis found in that specific ordrer ordre pipe line material are not activated with special stock key indicator i.e. 4.
Due to this it got stuck in cogi and for the same material created an order and found there is a allocation and activated with special stock key indicator i.e. 4.
Help me to resolve the existing Goods issue from COGI and cause of not activated with special stock key indicator i.e. 4. in production order.Dear ,
did the pipe line material is showing in production reservation as one of the BOM compoenent?
If it is the case , then cancel the confirmation in CO13 and try to connfirm the operation with Clear Reservation Option .

Access sequence for stock transfer order
Hi,
My client is a paper industry. client is procuring raw materials from forest center. We are considering forest center as plant 1800 and paper mill as plant 1100. several depots has been created under forest center and considering them as storage location. goods receipt at forest center is happening through scheduling agreements. stock is transfered from forest center depots to mill through stock transport order.
For each depots, freight value per MT is fixed for transporting goods from forest center to mill. Clients requirement is to maintain the rates for freight for each depots so that it will pick from condition records. No need to enter freight value in stock transport order.
I have created an access sequence for combination of plant (1800) and forest center depots and maintained condition table. but it is not working as in stock transport order, there is no storage location option for supplying plant. In stock transport order supplying plant is forest center (1800) and receiving plant is mill (1100).
Please guide me where to maintain the freight rate as this is mandatory for my client.

PrasantAccess seq with depot will not work becuse you don't have the storage location field in the header
Rather create the diff pruchase group for each depot and assign them in STO based on your depot(storage location)
and create the access sequence based on the palnt and purchase group than it will work. -
Spry Menu issues in Internet Explorer
I have created a Spry menu for my website and although the menu appears to look fine in Firefox and Safari, the formatting changes in Internet Explorer(IE).
1.sub menu bar is not dropping down below the main menu bar it is appearing at the top of the screen.
2.When you hover over the sub menu bar items the font should be white however in IE it is appearing as an aqua color.
3.The menu bar is not straight across the page, at the beginning and end there are chunks of the menu bar that appear white.
Are there any fixes for these issues that would help to make the menu look consistent across all browsers. The website page is

<font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">One study reported that between 2006 and 2020, over 5,000 new plant
and facility operators will be needed in the oil sands. As construction
of more and more oil sands projects ends and production begins, there
is a change in the kind
of workers most needed. More maintenance trades are needed and less
construction trades workers are needed. Also, companies now need more
operating and technical employees, such as process operators, power
engineers, and instrumentation technicians.<p>A study recently put out by the Government of Alberta (Report on Phase
2 of the Oil Sands Labour Resource Study) found that from 2006 to 2020,
15,000 new employees would be needed for operations and maintenance
in the oil sands industry. The study says there will be a need for
over 5,000 plant and facility operators between 2006 and 2020. This
includes process operators
(noc 9232) and power engineers (noc 7351).

demand for process operators and power engineers will increase. There is

Recently, there have been over 80 job postings for process operators
and power engineers, so there is great opportunity in Wood Buffalo
for this occupation.
</font><font size="2"> </font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">“Attrition
is one reason (for the increased need) because a lot of the older
guys are going to be coming to the age of retirement within a
very short time and they will have to be replaced,” says
John Cook, associate dean of technology with Keyano College. “The
other reason is expansion of the existing plants and new plants
starting up.”</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hazel White,
recruitment advisor with Syncrude Canada Ltd. says they recently
had a large number of process operator
positions
posted online
because of their practice to promote staff within the company.While
this is an entry-level position, most companies require that
their employees have at least a high school diploma and their fourth
class power engineering ticket. For more information on education,

on page 4.</font><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> </font> </p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Process operators</strong><br>
There are a few different kinds of process operators: refinery/upgrader
process operator, gas plant operator, and oil and gas pipeline operator,
to name a few. The jobs found in Fort McMurray are generally related
to mineral and hydrocarbon processing in the oil sands industry.</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">When
searching for jobs, be aware that there are a number of different
job titles for process operators. Usually, the title of the job
is based on the process the employee is involved with or by the
unit
in which the employee works. See the list on this page for
other common
job titles found recently on Job Bank.<img src="images/htmlbulletinimages/1008v3.png" width="209" height="365" align="right" class="floatrightnocut"></font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Movement between
industries</strong><br>
There are industries other than oil and gas where process operators
can work, such as pulp mills and chemical plants. They may process
different products, but employers will often consider hiring workers
from these other industries.</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">“We have been successful in taking people that had previously worked
in a paper mill,” says White with Syncrude. “The processes
are certainly different. They’re dealing with paper, rather
than oil, but we recently hired 18 (previous mill workers) and
it’s
my understanding that all 18 have gotten their fourth class tickets
since coming to Syncrude. We still need people with refinery experience,
but it is possible.” </font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Power engineering</strong><br>
Process operators in the Fort McMurray area generally have their
fourth or third class power engineering certificate, which allows
them to
process steam and operate boilers. Other process operators, such
as pulp mill operators, don’t necessarily need this. </font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">In
order to be called a power engineer, a person must be certified
through the Alberta Boilers Safety Association to operate pressure
equipment (www.absa.ca). </font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">There are
four different levels of power engineer—the lowest
is fourth class, going up to first class. For more information
on the Alberta Boilers Safety Association, contact their Fort

at 780-714-3067.</font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Field and control
room operators</strong><br>
There are basically two levels of process operators in Fort McMurray:
field operators and control room operators (or board operators). </font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">“</font><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Primarily
when someone is starting out, they’re in the field,” says
Cook. “After a few years they can become a board
operator if they want to do that. They are more experienced
and are
kind of like
the team lead. They tell the field people what needs to
be done and if it needs manual operation, (the field operators)
go out and do it—turning
valves, adjusting an instrument to control temperature,
pressure, flow, or level.”</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Process
operators are responsible for the initial separation processes
or the special treatment
required to ensure that
impurities such
as water and sediments are removed from oil and gas in
the field. Once
separated, the oil or gas is transported by pipeline
to refineries, gas plants or markets.</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Some duties
of a process operator are operating equipment to ensure that
the oil meets
specifications before it
goes into
a pipeline.

<li><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">pumps</font></li>
<li><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">compressors</font></li>
<li><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">steam
turbines</font></li>

There are many power engineering programs around northern Alberta
(see below) and some process operating courses. Keyano College
offers co-ops
for both courses and one of the advantages of this program,
besides being in Fort McMurray, is the job placements which
are provided.</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">“We only take as many students as we can guarantee work placement
spots, and students have to compete for a seat,” says Cook. “We
look at their educational background, their marks and then
there’s
an interview process with Keyano staff and industry people—just
like applying for a job.”</font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Salary and benefits</strong><br>
The pay range for this occupation varies greatly depending
on experience and training, but the range is about $20
to $47 per
hour, but averages
about $30 to $40 per hour. </font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Because these
positions are for ongoing production and maintenance of oil
sands projects,
employees are expected
to move to
Fort McMurray, regardless of whether they are doing shift
work or
not.</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Over the
next few years, there will be many more opportunities for people
wanting to get into a career in process
operating
or power engineering.</font></p></td>

How do I import Excel cell data in to an already built custom list.
I have a custom list that we are using as an End Of Shift Report.
I would like to expand the list to incorporate some of our process data. (We are a paper mill). We have a data historian, PI Process Book, that has an Excel add-in, that allows us to import the process data in to Excel.
I am able to do the "import spreadsheet" function and get the data in to a new list. What I can't figure out is either how to import directly in to the custom list I have already created, or how to import from the new list to the custom list.
I could use the "new list" as a container for several different process points if I could figure out how to load the process data in to the custom list.
We are currently using WSS3, but are upgrading in either the 4th Q this year, or Q1 2014.
Any other suggestions on how to display single point data (End of Shift Inventory calculations for example) in a custom sharepoint list are welcome.
I want to take a tank level reading, which we monitor and multiply it by X gallons per foot, then load the total gallons in to the custom list1) Open WSS List, and Export it to Excel
2) Open the Excel file you want to import
3) Copy the cells in the source and paste them into the Excel file openned from the WSS List (only highlight one row to paste, it will fill down)
4) You will see vaildation errors (yellow triangles), if there are any, correct them
5) In the menubar go Data --> List --> Sync List
6) You will see a blue status bar fill in the bottom left as data is copied up to the List

In papers industry they have different varieties of paper production in which they are characterized by the GSM (thickness), sizes and grades. These characteristics are not given by customer, they are pre-defined and are fixed i.e based on the available variety of paper that is produced in paper mill the customer makes the order for sheets or reels(FG). The different customer makes the order for different grades and GSM of paper. In 7th day of every month they compile the orders in order to get the net quantity of paper quality type to be produced and based on that the production is done. Remaining materials like pulp, power, steam, water treatment production are continuously takes place without any reference to the FG(paper) to be produced. There is fixed production lines.

A,B, C are the grades of paper. If for A-10MT,5MT,15MT are the orders and for B-4MT,2MT similarly for C-15MT,20MT are the orders. Then totally for A-20MT, B-6MT and for C-35MT planned to produce in a month.
Note: If the customer needs the new variety or changes in the paper variety that is already available then R & D is made on that variety and a new name is given to it.
Hence, this is Make To Stock with Repetitive manufacturing process. Is this process is right??
As per SAP best practices in repetitive process scenario, there will wont be conversion of planned order to production/process order, based on planned order the production takes place and then we will do the Operative backflushing.

REM process has been developed by SAP for less complicated scenarios. I mean where product varieties are less and process is less complex.
That is the reason there is no concept of order. Cost is getting captured on the product cost collector lever rather individual order level(In discrete).
Goods issue is on planned order which is of PE type (Once order is LA type you can assign the material to planning table. Then it will be PE)
GI happen through back flush.

Distinct count inside a measure group with other measures
Hello,
I have 1 distinct count inside a measure group with other measures, sum, count etc. I know this is not recommended due to poor processing performance and query response time.
Processing performance I can live with if it means not having another measure group, which increases processing time anyway.
I have used the recommended approach before and it generated many questions about what this second measure group is for (visible via excel), even though I made the distinct count appear in the main measure group via a calculated measure.
(it would be nice if you could hide measure groups)
However my question is: is query response time only effected when the distinct count is used in the query? Or is query response time effected regardless if the distinct count is used or not??
Below is an extract from the 2005 distinct count optimizer white paper. It’s not completely clear but I assume if effects queries regardless if distinct count is used or not?
"By adding other measures to the measure group holding a distinct count measure, all of the other measures will be at the same granularity as the distinct count measure, resulting in inefficient data structures and suboptimal

Problem in layout, please help in correcting code
Hello Friends,
I am facing a very strange problem. I have 1 DespktopPane, say DT in which I have created two InternalFrames, say IF1 and IF2. Also there are two JPanels, say P1 and P2. P1 contains various controls and IF1s ContentPane is set to P1 and P2 contains nothing. There two MenuItems, say M1 and M2. On M1s click I displayed IF1 and on M2s click I displayed IF2. Before adding IF2 everything is working fine, i.e. all the controls are able to display on IF1 but after adding IF2 allthe controls are transferred from IF1 to IF2 and now IF1 displays as a blank screen and IF2 contains allthe controls which are added in JPanel p2 whereas IF2s ContenPane is set to P2 and no control is added in P2.

You can't have components at more than one place in the hierarchy. If you add a component to something it is removed from its existing parent if there is one.
I'm not sure how much that helps you - I took one look at your code and ran away screaming. -
Report csv contains nothing but OMIT repeatedly
I have a report whose behavior I cannot explain. It is a based SQL Query based report. When I enable export to CSV, the resulting file contains a single cell with the word OMIT repeated over and over again.

4-up printing: make back side of sheet right?
i would like to print 4-up and have the right page in the right place on the reverse side of sheet.
That is: i want to print (say) acrobat documents 1,3,5 &7 on the front side, and have doc 2 on reverse of doc 1 (ie directly behind doc 1 on the reverse side of the resulting printed sheet of paper), with (obviously) doc 4 on back of doc 3, et cetera.
The reason - i want to cut the printed sheets into quarters and use these quarters for a new book, with page numbers in right order. Can this be done? (How to instruct the Reader print window to make it come out that way?)Daniel,
i meant to print out a "users' manual" in a more user-friendly format.
As you are doubtless aware, modern documentation is all in the form of a PDF, included on the distribution disk. And the person who writes the manual obviously owns a paper mill, because the documentation goes on for hundreds of pages, a line or two in huge font size on each page.
So my hope is to print the "manual" out, four-up: four pages per side of output sheet (standard US printer paper, 8.5 x 11"). Accordingly, i might get pages 1, 3, 5 & 7 printed on the front side of the first sheet, say in quadrants 1, 2, 3 & 4. Then i would need pages 2, 4, 6 & 8 printed on the reverse side of the output, in the following manner: directly behind page 1 would be page 2; behind page 3, page 4, and so on. That would mean that the reverse of the output sheet would have pages in the following arrangement: quadrant one: (original) page 4;
" two: page 2
" three: page 8
" four: page 6
(if i have it right).
i cannot believe that i am the first person to wish to be able to print out our present documentation in space- and paper-saving format and, given their wasteful font size, can still easily be read when shrunk by a factor of four (and requiring only an eighth of the number of sheets of printer paper).
So it would be a boon to humanity to cut down only an eighth as many trees in order to have hard copy (which i prefer, as it is handier and lets me write notes on it).
Now then, it has occurred to me to specify a very long input list of pages, arranged in weird sequence, in order to get the resultant output to print in useful manner (pages in right sequence - assuming that the input box would take such a long string of numbers) - but i ask: should that really be necessary? Are the developers of Adobe's printer interface so remote from the world they serve?
I am hoping that someone has thought about n-up printing and how it would most likely be use, and has made provision for the rest of humanity to be able to conveniently and compactly print out logorrheic "user" documentation.
So i thank you for your reply, and say, let us search for a simple solution!
