Trio/Triple billing in SAP.

Hi guruu2019s:
I work in SAP FI/CO space and Iu2019ve worked on dual billing scenario, but any one familiar with trio/triple billing scenario? Is it even possible in SAP?
In my mind dual billing means:
Inventory lies in a plant attached to company code 1
Customer is created in Company code 2, sales order is created to pick inventory from company code 1. Customer billing in CC2, by using I/C billing (EDI process) weu2019ll record Interco COGS and Intercompany receivable/Payable accordingly.
Now Iu2019m investigating adding one more company code (CC3) to this process.
Thanks
Raghu

Hi Nico:
Thanks for your response, any pointers to which type of customization? Is there any specific user exit/BADI etc that might help on this?
Regards
Raghu

    Hi Raghu,
Perhaps you could describe the proposed 3-company process?  What role does the third company play?

  • Profit center issue at the time billing  from SAP CRM

But i need to post teh billing document  for teh respective profit center.
    Can you help some body.

    See Note 386391
The CRM Server is connected to an R/3 System that can be used to map Controlling and Profit Center Accounting. This note describes how the profit center is determined in the CRM integration.
In the sales process and in service processing, the profit center is determined during the replication into the R/3 System and is stored in the translator.

  • SD billing in SAP-ISU

    Hi,
During mass invoicing by batch , SD bill is not getting picked. But if I do it manually through EASIBI , then it's able to pick the SD bill.
Can anyone suggest where the issue might be ?
    Thanks,
    Bighnajit

    Hi Bighnajit,
Two possible reasons why the SD bill didn't get picked up in the batch.
    (a) It may happen that the SD bill has been posted in SAP after the invoicing batch job has already run in SAP for the day. Check the creation of the SD bill in SAP.
    (b) Ideally, SD bill should get picked during the EA26 run while creating the IS-U invoices.
Check the parameters for EA26-General Selections,Custom Selections if there is something maintained which is not allowing to pick the SD billing in the EA26 batch job.
    Hope it helps...
    Thanks,
    Amlan

Hi, arinze.rebecca, and welcome to the Community,

    Hi,
Your configuration will only be applicable for the documents you are creating in future. It will not be applicable for the documents you have created in the past.
If any such open sales orders exist with third party I.C., then just delete them or put rejection codes, and then start creating new orders for them
If invoiced cases are there, you really have to analyse the implications and then take the corrective measures.

  • How to map Resource related billing through sap pm

    Hi all,
I have a new requirement from one of my client.
one plant(says A) provides the maintenance workers to other plant(Says B).
Plant A charge on hourly basis to plant B. Workers fill time sheet daily.
Then how to map this scenario through sap pm.
i guess it should be done through work center. kindly share.

For scenarios where the plants share the same company code, then you execute and settle your work orders as per normal.
Typically this involves the sending (from work centre) and receiving (settlement) costs centres posting actual costs.
The cost centre managers can then determine how much to back-charge. This task is often performed by the Finance Team.
For scenarios where the plants do not share the same company code, then you have a few options:
Resource related billing (see link above)
Plant A creates a PR/PO against Plant B. Then plant B creates a Sales Order against Plant A. This can be automated. The PR/PO could be linked to the order directly, or via a contract, or not at all..

  • Pro rata billing in SAP FE-FX

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me how can the pro rata billing in RE-FX can be done. What config setting we have to do for pro rata billing. and the invoice can be generated in RE-FX.
Is there is any link for configuring the billing.
    Thanks,
    Shailendra

    Hi,
I have exactly the same requirement. Making the value 'M', does not adjust the price automatically.
Currently I have as below (dates in dd/mm/yyyy) in the billing plan schedule item level.
    11/01/2010 to 31/01/2010 - $3100
    01/02/2010 to 28/02/2010 - $3100
    01/03/2010 to 31/03/2010 - $3100
    01/04/2010 to 30/04/2010 - $3100
    01/05/2010 to 31/05/2010 - $3100
    01/06/2010 to 30/06/2010 - $3100
    01/07/2010 to 22/07/2010 - $3100
What I would like is to have as below,
    11/01/2010 to 31/01/2010 - $2100   "Adjusted for 21 days of the month
    01/02/2010 to 28/02/2010 - $3100  + $520
    01/03/2010 to 31/03/2010 - $3100  + $520
    01/04/2010 to 30/04/2010 - $3100  + $520
    01/05/2010 to 31/05/2010 - $3100  + $520
    01/06/2010 to 30/06/2010 - $3100  + $520
    01/07/2010 to 15/07/2010 - $1500      " Adjusted for 15 days
" Additional $520 is the amount distributed equally among all entries except first and last, so that the net amount that will be billed to customer remains same.
Please share some ideas on how I can achieve this - either through configuration or in coding.
    Thanks
    Vinoth

  • How to set print option for a Billing document using T-code VF02

    Hi All,
Please suggest me the way to set print option for a Billing document for T-code VF02 and please let me know how to get print preview for any particular Billing document?
    regards
    Anand.

    Enter the billing documents detail
    Goto Goto> Header>Output.
Check the status for your output type in this screen.
If it is green then come back to the VF03 screen.Enter the billing document number.
Click on Billing document-->Issue output to.
Press (CtrlShiftF1) or click on the icon beside "Print options".
Here you can see the print preview.
If the status is red then click on the processing log. Here you will get the error messages.
If the status is in yellow colour, then click on the "Further Data" button
Set "Dispatch time" as "4 Send immediately (when saving the application)"
Before the print preview option you should make sure you have added correct output type to the relevant billing document. To do that, go to transaction VF02.

select that line & press "Print Preview" button or (CTRLSHIFTF1)
You can see the print preview.
Alternatively you can use VF31 to print multiple print outs at same time.
If you want to get PDF outputs of billing documents, go to your printer settings in the your computer from Control Panel.
Set PDF Writer as "Default Printer" (Right click & select "Set as Default Printer")
Then normal way, print the billing from SAP.
It'll automatically send to your PDF writer. You can save it to the path you want,

  • What is the best way to build a career path where I can evolve into an SAP role instead of one that is Customer Service based?

In October 2011, my previous employer converted to SAP, as the rest of the worldwide entities were already using SAP. At that time, I was an Order Coordinator, where my job role was to process all of the Inside/Outside Sales Representatives orders for the US. Because of my keen attention to detail, the speed in which I learn new roles and general IT knowledge, I was asked to be the SAP SuperUser for our Financial Operations team. I quickly began to learn the roles of Order-to-Cash, Customer Master Data, Pricing Conditions, Contracts, some Material Master Data, and even Customer/Material Pricing Audits. I also performed manual customer billing in SAP until the automatic modules were implemented. Knowledge of these roles created a need for me to become a trainer to my team, where the SAP Consultants left off. After only working in SAP for the few months after the conversion started, I evolved out of an Order Coordinator rights of access and was given a not-so-typical role as an "analyst". I had more than a firefighter role in SAP, as my normal log in credentials gave me full rights to all of these modules and even special reporting. Our parent global company realized necessity for my role and followed proper protocol to authorize the access changes to still meet the SOx regulations. Prior to using SAP, I never thought I'd fall in love with it and enjoy my job so much, but it happened! Despite my previous employer's less than perfect data that was copied into SAP, we managed to have an efficient ongoing process to clean it all up.  I became more of a liaison between Financial Operations and our IT Dept/SAP Consultants. I "translated" the technical steps that IT/SAP Consultants were trying to teach everyone and trained my Financial Operations team in a way they would understand. I truly enjoyed my job, even at our most difficult moments.
However, after all of the fun I was having while working in SAP and truly gaining a ton of useful experience and knowledge, "life" happened and I had an opportunity to move from Atlanta, GA to southern California. I've searched for months to find a new career here in California with a company that I could continue my learning experiences and become more proficient in SAP, but I'm a little lost. My search to find jobs have only given me possibilities in Customer Service positions or ones that are SAP sales/programming based. I'm floating in limbo and looking for help from the SAP community on where I can go from here to get back into a career path with SAP.
I'm 28 years old and I'm currently finishing my Associate degree in Business Administration. I'm a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), certified with the Help-Desk Institute as a Support Center Analyst, and also completed my previous employer's Quality Advocate Certification which focused on Six Sigma and Lean concepts. Prior to leaving the company, I was being considered for a company sponsored training in the Six Sigma Green or Black Belt program. I've recently started working a contract position as a Customer Service Rep, processing orders, but the company will be completing an SAP conversion in May 2013; so only a few months away. The problem I have in this position is that I feel frustrated in learning their current software when their entire team seems to have their own personal ways of doing their job. I prefer to have structure and perform job duties the right way, then building on that to make the job more streamlined. I spoke with my recruiter but he feels I may be a bit premature on feelings about working in this contract position. I may be just feeling a little impatient in having to wait another 3 months to see if the company may even hire me on permanently and what role I would have with SAP, beyond Customer Service Rep. I'm hoping to get some direction from the SAP community on where I might focus my attention in learning SAP. My hope is to find a position working with SAP like the one I enjoyed so much back in GA. I'm even considering options to learn the programming side. I think SAP is a great software package once people understand how it's designed, or can be designed, to work.
    Please help!!
I'd be happy to provide my resume to anyone willing to review it and give me some pointers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I appreciate the length and detail of your post. I struggle answering questions from folks who give too little info. It's refreshing to have too much info for a change.
I'll summarize your post and give suggestions:
You have very strong end user experience, almost bordering on support level SD knowledge. You have experience with the way that at least one company implemented SAP SD but don't have many years of experience with different approaches, so you can't pitch yourself as someone who's "been-there, done-that" outside of the SD world and you can't bill yourself as having SD functional knowledge to the extend that you could be a consultant for SAP SD.  (See FAQ: Different Career Paths in SAP for descriptions of different traditional SAP career paths.)
You've moved to Southern California, which is chock full of companies using SAP, by the way, and you're having a hard time finding the right job. Your education is probably going to be problematic at this point. Most SAP related jobs require a Bachelor's Degree at a minimum. Definitely keep on going with your degree. I don't know where you're doing your associate's degree, but you might want to look in to Cal State Fullerton, which has an *excellent* SAP focused business degree program. (http://business.fullerton.edu/).
You've found work at a company but had to start over at a lower level of responsibility. Since the job you just landed will be transitioning to SAP in 3 months, you have an opportunity to repeat your previous rise by volunteering to be a super-user again. Alternatively, you could talk to the group within your company and express your desire to help out supporting the system from the back end. Traditionally, companies lose a few folks immediately following an implementation, so there's a good chance that if you make your desires and skills known, that you'll be able to move onto the support team once a position opens up.
All of the above assumes that you want to continue on the functional side of SD. You didn't mention any aptitude or preference for programming. It is certainly easier to get programming jobs than functional jobs (see How did you get your start in SAP?), but it seems like you really enjoyed the functional side of SAP. I do *not* recommend learning an SAP skill for which you have no desire simply to get a job, hoping that you can switch later. Use the skills you have to get the job you really want, doing something that really excites you. It's far to easy to fall into a job simply because it's there and get trapped and burned out.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,
      --Tom

  • Pricing date of billing

    Hi experts:
In our Delivery-Related sales, the pricing date in billing comes from the PGI date of delivery actually.
Now,i want the pricing date in billing comes from pricing date in sales order, i try it  many times, but all failed.
In VOV8 i can Propose the pricing date in sales order.
How does the Pricing date come from in billing in SAP Std?
                    Pls give me some advice.
                                                  Thank you very much.

Use t.code VTFL (Copy control from delivery to billing document).
Select the source and target document types.
Then go to item details. You need to select appropriate routine in the field Data VBRK/VBRP. This routine should have coding to propose the price data from the order.
If you don't find a routine to suit your requirement, then you can develop the routine in t.code VOFM - Menu Data Transfer ->Billing documents.
    The coding logic can be;
      IF NOT VBKD-PRSDT IS INITIAL.
         VBRP-PRSDT = VBKD-PRSDT.
      ENDIF.
There is an OSS  Note 130339 - Pricing date in the billing document, but this refers to versions upto 4.5b.

  • Defference b/w Bill and Invoice?

What is the difference b/w Bill and Invoice?

Billing is sap internal reference number which is maintained in VF01 and tables
    VBRK VBRP gets updated .
Billing in terms means that i have a reference with so and so details that this is the amount charged to the customer for the purchase .
But when i produce this document in paper-work then it is called INVOICE
which is handed over to the customer and the paper work is a legal document that holds details of price and etc...
This is the difference between Billing and invoice.
There will be terms called as INVOICE , First commercial invoice and second commercial invoice but never they can be called as First Billing and second Billing etc.
I hope u got the point.
