Trip directly setting to status approved

Hi Experts,
We are facing one issue as for selected company code , when a Travel and Expense is created, it is directly moving in to the status approved. Can anyone please let me know as what configurations might be missing for the same.
Thanks
TC

Hi TC,
please provide more information, what are you using as means of approval? Are you using a workflow?
It's more likely the process flow causes this instead of a configuration.
Cheers, Lukas

  • Setting the status code on 404

    Hi All,
I have my web.xml file pointing 404 errors to /404.jsp on my web server (Apache/Tomcat).
    The code for 404.jsp is
    <%
// Set the header response to a 404 and no-caching
    response.setStatus(response.SC_NOT_FOUND);
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");
    %>
    <jsp:include page="/404message.jsp"/>
404message.jsp contains html and some other jsp scriptlets to display a nicely formatted error page that fits with the look and feel of the web site I am currently working on. I have to set the status like this otherwise the 404 error returns a response of 200 which is no good for the statistics program we run on the site.
It all seems to work wonderfully except that in the localhost log for tomcat I get the following exception even though everything seems to work fine.
    2005-04-21 16:11:12 ErrorDispatcherValve[alligator]: Exception Processing ErrorPage[errorCode=404, location=/404.jsp]
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot reset after response has been committed
    at org.apache.catalina.connector.ResponseBase.reset(ResponseBase.java:789)
    at org.apache.catalina.connector.HttpResponseBase.reset(HttpResponseBase.java:812)
    and so on....
Anybody point me in the right direction on this, any help much appreciated??
    Cheers,
    Beno..

Just wanted to bring this one back to the front as had a zero response.
Anyone shed any light on it for me??

    Thanks,

    Hi,
You can use the EXCLUDING extension while setting the PF-STATUS.
    CASE ok_code.
WHEN 'EXEC'.   "While displaying the fisrt ALV
                 REFRESH fcode[].
                  MOVE 'APPROVE' TO wa_fcodes-fcode.
                  APPEND wa_fcodes TO fcodes.
                  SET PF_STATUS 'ZPF_STAT1' excluding fcodes.
                  Display ALV.
WHEN 'APPROVE'. "while displaying the second ALV
                 REFRESH fcode[].
                  MOVE 'CONFIRM' TO wa_fcodes-fcode.
                  APPEND wa_fcodes TO fcodes.
                  SET PF_STATUS 'ZPF_STAT1' excluding fcodes.
                  Display ALV.
    ENDCASE.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to set workflow status when workflow manually cancelled?

    Hi All,
When i manually cancelled designer workflow, then status comes as 'cancelled'. Instead i need to set different status. How to  achieve this?
    Thanks in advance!

    You can use this action
    Set Workflow Status
This action is initially displayed in a workflow step as Set workflow status to Canceled. Use this action to set the status of the workflow. The default options are Canceled, Approved, and Rejected.
You can enter a new status value in the dropdown in the action. Once you enter a status value, the entry is automatically added to the dropdown list. For example, you can enter a status that is more user-friendly and informative than Completed or Canceled,
    such as Expense Report Approved.
     NOTES
You cannot rename or delete a status value once it has been created. However, you do not have to use it.
A custom status is applicable to the current workflow only, and cannot be used in another workflow.
A workflow cannot use custom status values that you define in the action if the action is used inside an impersonation step.
If the Set Workflow Status action is the last step in your workflow where you have also used a custom value, you can see your custom value in the Status column in
the list upon workflow pausing or completion.
Following is an example of what the action might look like in a workflow step,
Set workflow status to Specification status: Ready for Design Review

  • SAP function to delete shopping cart (set header status I1040)?

Does anyone know of a SAP function which can delete a shopping cart (set header status I1040)?
We're running the EBP extended classic scenario with SRM 4.0 and SRM_SERVER 5.00.
    Thanks,
    Brad

I don't know about the OP's reasons, but I've been looking for a similar solution as well. In my case our users sometimes create shopping carts under e.g. the wrong budget code, and the approvers don't always catch this, resulting in an approved SC that we can't change or delete but equally can't use.
I'll check out those fcns, thanks for that. From your question it sounds like there's some reason why this shouldn't be done though? Would this be seen as a bad practice? How would you recommend dealing with the above situation?
    Thanks, John.

  • ESS Leave Request - Set Workflow status to Completed

    Hi,
We are on ECC 5.0 and we are using ESS to process Leave Requests. We have a custom Workflow based on the standard Workflow template WS12300111 for approval of Leave Requests.
Whenever an employee creates a Leave Request via ESS the Workflow is started. When the employee deletes the request the Workflow has to be stopped/completed. For this we have put a Wait for Event step in a parallel branch to the Approval Process. In the Wait for Event step we wait till a condition ( Request.status = DELETED ) is met.
But when an employee deletes a Leave Request the request is deleted from the list but it gives a message as "Specify a class name".
Can anybody please help us on this( how to complete the workflow whenever the Request is deleted ) and let us know what is the procedure to do this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Immanuel

    Hi Prashanth
Thanks for your quick reply. But that would not solve my problem. My Workflow looks something like this
WF-started by entries in configuration tables
                             Some activity in background
A fork with 2 parallel processes
Approval     Wait for an exception condition using Wait for event step
process          (wait till an attribute of a object has a specific value)
                              Workflow completed
The wait step waits for the status of the object to change to DELETED.  The Workflow should get completed either if the Approval process is over or the condition specified in the Wait step is satisfied.
But in the case of ESS Leave Request this doesn't work. Is there anything that we need to do to set the status of the Workflow to Completed if the Leave Request is deleted.
    Thanks
    Immanuel

In OVA8 its sets as Dynamic  check + Reaction    C + with Status/Block
The Movement I check in Sales Order Status its Showing  Credit status APPROVED
Can any one Guide me when status got change as Approved
    Or We miss some configuration
I am unable to trace what is wrong  can any guide what wrong why its sales order status showing Approved
    Thanks
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
Wat i feel is u might have missed configuring one of teh step where u assign teh Credit limit check to Document type.
    T-Code OVAK.
Assign the Sales document with the type of Credit check you need. If you have missed this step the  default value will be  blank which means no credit check performed for sales done with this Particular Sales document type. This might be the case with your scenario.

  • Setting Task status to InProgress Programmatically

    Hi,
I am using VS 2010 Sequential workflow.
I am trying to set the workflow status to InProgress, but not able to. I have tried for approve and reject as below which works fine, but how to set the InProgress status?
    Hashtable taskHash = new Hashtable();
    // Approved
    taskHash[SPBuiltInFieldId.TaskStatus] = "#";
    // Rejected
    taskHash[SPBuiltInFieldId.TaskStatus] = "@";
How to set the workflow status to be "In Progress" programmatically?
    Thanks

    Hi,
To set the status of the workflow as
InProgress, you can use the SPResource.GetString method to get the
Strings.WorkflowStatusInProgress value and push into the SPBuiltInFieldId.TaskStatus field.
Here is a similar thread with code provided:

  • Set pf status in alv oops concept

    Hi all,
can any one pls tell me  by using which method or class  i can set the
    pf status......?
    regards
    cnu

    Fast and Easy way
As you are using OO ALV, remove any function not needed from the ALV via parameter IT_TOOLBAR_EXCLUDING of method set_table_for_first_display and put your own function in the menu of your dynpro PBO via SET PF-STATUS.
Nethertheless you can use a more complew way using :
    <b>Changing Standard Functions</b>
    Purpose
The standard functions are not designed for specific applications. As a result, special knowledge of the data displayed cannot be considered. In individual cases, you may design a standard function - such as sorting by a specific column - more effectively in a specific application.
    Process Flow
    1. Define an event handler method for event before_user_command [Page 108]. This event is triggered after the user has selected a function. This means that the ALV Grid Control passes control to the application before the function is executed. Using event parameter I_UCOMM you can restrict the function code to the function you want to modify.
    2. Implement your own algorithm for the function within the event handler method. In this context, you can call methods of the ALV Grid Control.
    3. Reset the function code to ensure that the standard function is no longer executed:
CALL METHOD <Instance of the ALV Ccntrol>->set_user_command exporting I_UCOMM = SPACE.
If you never need specific functions of the tool bar, you can hide them for the entire life-cycle of the control. To do this, you use parameter IT_TOOLBAR_EXCLUDING of method set_table_for_first_display  to pass a table that contains the function codes to be hidden.
<b>Defining GUI Elements in the Toolbar</b>
    Process Flow
    1. Define an event handler method for event TOOLBAR.
    2. Declare a structure for defining a toolbar element:
    data: ls_toolbar TYPE stb_button.
    3. For a pushbutton, for example, you would fill the following fields:
    CLEAR ls_toolbar. MOVE 0 TO ls_toolbar-butn_type.
    MOVE 'BOOKINGS' TO ls_toolbar-function.
    MOVE icon_employee TO ls_toolbar-icon.
MOVE 'Show Bookings'(111) TO ls_toolbar-quickinfo. MOVE SPACE TO ls_toolbar-disabled.
In the butn_type field, you specify the type of the GUI element for the ALV Grid Control. For possible values, see the value range of domain TB_BTYPE.
    4. Use event parameter E_OBJECT to append the new definition to table mt_toolbar:
    APPEND ls_toolbar TO e_object->mt_toolbar.
    5. If you want to define additional elements, go back to step 3.
    6. Call method set_toolbar_interactive, if you want to rebuild the toolbar.
    Result
In the event handler method of event USER_COMMAND, you can query the function code you specified in field function to implement the associated function.

  • Set PF status in popup screen

    Hi ,
I m creating a ALV report ,in that using set PF status i created push button , in alv output list if i click the push button pop up screen will come in that popup screen it displays the previous PF status, how to add my own PF status in that popup screen
    thanks

    Hi,
You must have created other screen for the pop up say suppose 9002.
then we need to write the code in 9002 PBO.
    *&      Module  STATUS_9002  OUTPUT
    *       text
    MODULE status_9002 OUTPUT.
      SET PF-STATUS 'ZNOT3'.
      SET TITLEBAR 'ZTNOT3'.
    ENDMODULE.                 " STATUS_9002  OUTPUT
Here 'ZNOT3' is is the PF STATUS that ius made according to our need.
It is recommend that you copy standard status'STANDARD' from function group SALV and modify it accordingly. ALV standard function codes always start with '&'.
    Hope this will help you.
    Thanks,
    Dhanashri.

in the call function module, you pass the PF status parameter.

FORM set_pf_status USING extab TYPE slis_t_extab.
      SET PF-STATUS 'ZZSTD'.

Here double Click on ZZSTD. IT will take you to a different screen and you have to set it.

  • Set PF-STATUS and use SY-UCOMM in an Exit FM

    Hi,
I am working on an Exit function, and I am trying to read the screen status and then the user's actions, so that I could code for the SY-UCOMM. For some reason, my program is not working. Is it possible to add the PF-STATUS and SY-UCOMM to the Exit function to process the user's actions? Please advise.
    Thanks,
    RT

    Hi Ravikumar,
I was able to use the parameters in the Exit provided in the Exit FM to process the necessary data. I have other requirements where I would have to code in the Exit FM to detect the user's actions and process them within the Exit to manipulate the tables. I added some code specified in the previous post, but it doesn't seem to get the OK_CODE; therefore, no processing of the data was happening when I tested by clicking on the yellow arrow to exit. I am able to determine the OK_CODE though.
Would you have any sample code suggestions when using the Exit for SET PF-STATUS and SY-UCOMM?
    Thanks so much.

  • ODS Problem - Could not forcefully set the status of the request

    Hello GURUS!
We encountered an error while activating an ods object:
<i>"Request REQU_41H61CY8SUS7IX4787ARFXLOM (activation request ODSR_41I8ZUA35YKRALSBFPBB0GWZQ) is marked as incorrect for data package 000000 (DP 0 is the entry for the entire request, which is the only one to remain in the control table after successful activation)."</i>
We tried to forcefully set the status to <b>green</b> as what we normally do when this happens but it still stays <b>red</b>.
    Need your help on this!
    Thanks,
    Jeffrey

    Hello JeFFreY,
    how r u ?
You can delete that failed request, then check the PSA for errors, if errors are there delete the PSA data.
Carry on a new data load with the option in the Scheduling screen -> PROCESSING tab as ONLY PSA. Now check the data for the errors and change it if error exists. Then give context menu on the request and select Start the Update Immediately. Now see in the ODS. what happens ?
    Best Regards....
