Triple Monitor on T500 with RC and beta drivers...

Hello all I was running a beta driver from the beta Lenovo website and was able to run triple monitors.
Now with the RTM I cannot...
I was hoping that someone might have the old version of the beta drivers that Lenovo had on the beta site last year aroung May/June...
This was running without any extra hardware, it allowed windows to "see" both display drivers and allow them to be used.
If someone want I can send you a pic as proof, but could you please send me the old drivers for the "switchable graphics" ( I think that was the thing.)
This is a laptop T500 w the ATI 3650 HD and the intel express graphics card built in.
Thanks in advance.

What display are you using? Are you using a direct HDMI connection or are you using an adapter?

  • T500 with LED and 1680*1050

    Hi Lenovo, hi *,
as my z60m is getting 4 years old, I'm searching for a good replacement. I wait for over an half year for lenovo to bring the t500 with led on the german market. after the t500 with led is sold since Juli/August 08 in the us, it's arrived now in february 09 in germany! what a shame! and then there is only the small resolution of 1280*800. Come on Lenovo! for that 2500€? So my question is, does anyone know if there will be an t500 with led and 1680*1050 in the near futuere or is the solution that i have to buy a mac book pro or a delll? (which both i really don't like)
    greetings from very snowy bavaria

    Hi,
thanks to you both for your reply. I know that there are no WSXGA+ LED displays. I ask because look at this products:
    - http://www5.pc.ibm.com/de/products.nsf/$wwwPartNumLookup/_NK18DGE?open&OpenDocument&epi=web_express
both come with 1280*800 resolution and not with the 1440+900WXGA+ LED resolution of the T400. Both notebooks are more than 2000€!!! My Question is still why is there not a T500 with this 1440+900WXGA+ LED display? I'm a developer and i need as much resolution as i can get! And the T400 is about 1600€!
    greetings
    Tobi

  • Sever issue with Xorg and Nvidia Drivers

I run a 2.6.20 kernel with Xorg and Nvidia drivers all from arch rep on a Asus NV6200. Everything works fine, except one thing. When I exit X, the monitor shuts down imediatly. It wont start up at all, not even by manual startup. I cant understand what happens. The configuration is correct, is done with the correct settings for my video-card and monitor taken directly from the documentation. I cant use my X server at all since several days ... I checked the logs and there are no EE's. Anyway ... here is the log. Help anyone can help, I cant use X at all.

No ... the problem is in the kernel that comes precompiled.
    I did this test.
The first time I installed the kernel I unloaded nvidiafb since I dont like it.
When I install nvidiafb back something strange happends. Nvidia module fails to load.
The modprobe sais it cannot find the device nvidia.ko ... but it is there!
So my best guess is, there is something with the kernel. Any ideas?
    Problem resolved, installed older driver

  • 2012 iMac with gtx680mx want beta drivers?

I just got my new iMac i7 with the gtx680mx video card.  I know there is beta drivers out for he card that improve it a little bit. Where can I download them. Thx a lot

On OS X, Apple provides the driver updates and drivers are updated with OS X updates, so you can't install any beta driver for OS X.
However, NVIDIA releases beta drivers for their graphics on Windows, but not OS X

  • PA3541U-2PRP dynadock vga cannot install with win7 and latest drivers

Hello, I need help installing this on a Tecra A8 S8513.  I have Win7 professaional installed and I've tried to install the dynadock with all variations of drivers, letting Windows discover and install (bad 5.3 core was found) and using 7.03 and 7.1, 6.3 and 6.2.  None of them stop the infinite loop of the graphics setting for the first time and none of them solve the generic usb hub that it should have.  It's like the install is connecting and disconnecting in an infinite loop.  I've also tried (after dynadock failures) plugging in a usb mouse and the vga/rgb monitor directly to the three usb hubs in the rear and they don't even come up as new hardware.  I've searched here and all over the internet for solutions.  None have helped.

The first code block contains my Xorg.0.log however I just tryed modprove nvidia and recieved FATAL: Module nvidia not found. which I discovered was solved by someone here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=961852 however when I tryed to do a pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils I get a unresolved confilict with nvidia-304xx-utils which after trying to remove with pacman -Rs shows dependencies with cario, Im not sure how far back I should start removing things to solve this conflict or how to go abouts solving it
    +++++++++
    Update: Solved
    +++++++++
I did some more looking and found I could force the uninstall of nvidia-304xx-lts with pacman -Rdds nvidia-304xx-lts and after revisiting the Nvidia page on the wiki for the dozenth time I started thinking maybe I needed nvidia-304xx oposed to the lts release as google as kindly pointed out lts is long term support and maybe my kernel was not lts and thus conflicting.  This turned out to be the case, after removing the ofending lts version of the driver, replacing with the correct nvidia-304xx , another nvidia-xconfig and reboot followed by modprobe nvida and startxfce4 my wounderfull xfce is now running as I type this messsage in firefox.  Thank you for you help, as you asking about the modprobe output caused the chain of events leading to the success.

  • Monitor my dogs with iSight and Mac

First, I'm a novice at all forms of electronic media but learning fast. I've moved to Scotland with my two dogs who must now live in the kitchen-laundry room during the day while I'm at work. I want to set up my mac powerbook G4 with Tiger OS and an iSight camera to send real time pictures of the dogs and what they are up to. I'd like to be able to watch them from my Dell PC at work and then hollar at them through some speakers when they are doing something they shouldn't be doing. Yes I know this is weird but hey why not if the technology is out there and I think it is. I just need some guidance on compatibility etc. Can anybody take this on and provide suggestions on setups, hardware, software, issues? Cheers

I use a great little application called EvoCam. It works with the iSight, has a great feature set. One thing I like about it is the built in webserver. This makes it very easy to setup and get running. I use it for my office and home webcams. I have not had any problems with it.

  • Printing off center with splix and gdi drivers

I was just installing cups to get printing working with my Samsung ML-1740 printer. There are two drivers, I found, available for it splix and gdi. Splix is supposed to be the better driver, but I found both print pages off center, to the right, splix more so (about 1/8 inch) than gdi. Is there anyway to correct for this globally on my system? I'd rather not have to modify the margin settings in every document manually. Or is this just a bug and going to have to be addressed by the authors of the drivers?

When printing using Acrobat Reader, the problem with me was DOH, the paper was jiggling around in the paper feeder. I tightened up the guides and got better results sideways, and ok with the length.
However, the person I am doing the job for continued to have problems, and it was not until he sent me a printout from his HP all in one printer that I suspected that his cheap printer was trying to HELP matters.
I had run the background color full bleed to the very edges of the paper. Easier to find out where the off center problem was. He was pretty good on the vertical centering, but the bottom of the card really showed a distinctive problem. The ink stopped printing at EXACTLY the usual 1/2" margin on the bottom, where one would normally break apart or trim the cards. In addition, the HP apparently pulled this edge 1/8" up. I think the HP was trying to HELP us idiots from running the live area (ie, type) right to the crop edges.
So, I changed the design, removed all physical crop marks (used only for gauging how the pages were printing in relation to the scored biz card stock) and removed the background color bleed from the bottom...actually redesigned all cards so there would be no bleeds at all, He seemed to think that solved the problem, and the HP did not feel inclined to help. And it did not vertically shrink the pdf image to the safe live area.
It's hard dealing with someone with very rudimentary skills in these things. Even phone conversations weird. He didn't understand that all the ten cards were now one pdf image, and that Avery template would not help in this case.
He's waiting to get more card stock for his biz cards, and will finally see if it printed right for him.

  • Problems with classpath and oracle drivers

Hi, i've developed an application that uses oracle drivers "classes12.jar" using Eclipse. While i was writing the code, i manually specified the classpath which contains "classes12.jar" file using Eclipse's own configuration tool and now it works perfect when i run it under Eclipse. I then tried to run it using dos prompt but when i tried to run the program i got "ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.driver.oracledriver". As you can guess, i thought that was a classpath issue so i set the classpath as follows:
    set CLASSPATH=C:\oracle\ora92\jdbc\lib
where the directory "C:\oracle\ora92\jdbc\lib" is the one that contains classes12.jar file which i had also specified using Eclipse before.
After that, i recompiled my application and tried to launch it as follows:
    ->javac Test.java
    ->java Test
But then i got the following runtime error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Test
Since this happened after i manually set CLASSPATH variable, this has something to do with that. What should i do now? Thanks in advance.

Correct - the JAR has to be spelled out in the CLASSPATH.
I'd also recommend that you not set CLASSPATH using a system environment variable. Better to use the -classpath parameter on javac.exe when you compile and java.exe when you run. Put the command into a script that you invoke when you start up the app. It'll document the fact that it's needed for anyone that comes after you and relieves you from having to change the CLASSPATH on machines you deploy to. And, for good measure, app servers like Tomcat and WebLogic totally ignore the system CLASSPATH. I don't even have one.

  • Problem with Xorg and nvidia drivers

Hi! I recently installed arch and am trying to get a gui working. Sadly I have had little success. I have a nvidia geforce 750m which I believe was designed to use optimus. I have installed nvidia and bumblebee, and blacklisted nouveau. However, when I attempt to startx it doesn't work, and in the log file it tells me nvidia can't load the GLX and to make sure I am using the nvidia vendor version. So I looked and it seems I am not, instead I have the Xorg version. Unfortunatey I have no idea how to fix this... and today, google was not my friend despite several hours of searching.
    dmesg | grep nvidia says:
    nvidia_frontend_open: minor 0, module->open() failed, error -5
I don't know what that error code means, or if that's even important.
I have also installed kde, which does nothing because there's no x server to do anything with.
    Anyone have any advice? Thanks

    Hi js404!
If I am not entirely wrong you should try to use this small piece of code:

    Ok.
Once you get this working, I will have some suggestions that
will make this run much faster. For now, I think the issue
is the driver version. We package an old oracle thin driver
inside our weblogic.jar, so you need to get oracle's latest
appropriate driver, and edit the start-weblogic script so
the driver you want comes before the weblogic.jar in the
-classpath argument for the java line that starts the server.
    PS:
I am looking at the code, thank you, but you still haven't
explicitly said what problem you're having!

Hi! I need two more things from you, please:
1 - A full statement of what problem you're having.
2 - More of the code. All I see here is you are getting
a connection directly from Oracle's driver, and code which
    does a ResultSet.getString() call.
I need to see the logic from getting the connection, to creating
the statement, to executing the query, to doing ResultSet.next()
for each row and getting the row data for each.
It seems that this is either an application code or jdbc driver
problem because no weblogic code is being used, so it could probably
be duplicated in a small stand-alone program (without any weblogic
    stuff).

  • How to synch photos with local and external drivers?

I have photos on my PC hard drive as well as an external drive that I want to synch to my iPad.  So far I can synch (download pictures from) one but not both.  Any tips?

  • [Solved] Triple Headed Xinerama Setup with 2 Nvidia Graphics Cards

I'm trying to get a triple headed setup working with xinerama (and awesome as my WM) and am more or less at a complete loss.
Ive tried assembling my own /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf from various wiki resources and manpages, which you can see at:
    http://paste.pocoo.org/show/467600
also the output of "lspci | grep VGA"
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Device 06c4 (rev a3)
04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Device 06c4 (rev a3)
I've never actually done anything vaguely like this before, and if there's something that'll just explain to me what all the options do with respect to xinerama and "zaphodheads" and whatnot i'd be grateful. If you can actually tell me how to fix it, that'll be absolutely wonderful.

    Greetings Jello-Raptor,
I just recently configured a 2 monitor set up using nvidia-settings.
    # nvidia-settings
This is the GUI way to do things and you can choose either TwinView (which gives you an extended monitor) or Xinerama (separate monitors but you can move between them).  I use the Xinerama with a nvidia card and it works great.  Once you go to multiple heads you wonder how you ever lived with out them
    All the best,
    Ian

  • T500 with Win7 difficulty opening files/folders

I have brand new T500 with Win7, and I have difficulty opening files/folders.  They do not open with double-click or single-click (I have various times gone to Control Panel/Files and Folders option), but I have ro right-click to get a window with the open at the top --this is cumbersome and I think a problem with Win7.  I would greatly appreciate help on this, das is driving me crazy... thanks,
    Eugenio
Moderator note; edited subject for reflect content

I was able to get the 1-click work in opening files/folders... however, double-click does not work even when making changes in the Control Panel.  I look forward to any suggestions.  Is this a bug in Win7...?

  • Monitoring Multilink PPP with Analyzer

I am trying to monitor MPPP link with fragmentation and interleaving
using Agilent WAN Advisor(latest v.15.0), but it seems this box can not decode fragmented PPP, so I have no visibility and right statistics of the link
and layers 3&4. Does anybody has any idea how to get this working, Agilent
Support has been not too much helpful till now.
Alternatively, does anybody knows any WAN Analyzer able to do this.
It would be also great if it would be able to decode cRTP.

I believe that sniffervoice will do this:

    as will W&G domino:
