Tritton AX360 Headphones

I've got these headphones from Tritton that I cannot figure out how to get the microphone to work on.
I've got them connected to my mac pro via the optical port but the mac doesn't seem to realize that the mic is there.
Anyone have any ideas how to get this working?
G-Man

There's probably only an optical output available. Optical doesn't do combine input and output. Try a USB device that has headphones and a mic that should work very well.

  • Tritton ax360 5.1 headphones not working

This doesn't really fit in this discussion category, but I couldn't find a better one.
I bought a pair of Tritton ax360 headphones and for the life of me I cannot get them to work correctly. They will work in stereo just fine, but I can't get the 5.1 feature to work. Its plugged into my mac via the digital output. I've messed with settings in Mainstage, Logic, System Prefs, the device itself. I've tried every combination of settings and none will work.
When I go into Audio & MIDI setup in the utilities folder and go to Audio Output, source is set as Digital Out, and I have tried every combination of the two format drop down menus but nothing will work. Whatever settings I have them set at when I click configure speakers it will not allow me to select any option other than stereo?
Anybody else have this problem, or any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Brad

Yeah, I have the AXPROs and I have tried connecting via optical and usb, but neither is getting me any closer to figuring out how to get 5.1 out of the headphones. I have tried everything you have, but to no avail. APPLE! PLEASE HELP!

  • X-fi gamer and 5.1 headpho

Hi, I have the x-fi gamer and the tritton ax360 headphones, I am trying to connect my headphones through coax into the flexijack. I have a /8 to RCA jack connected into the flexijack and then the coax cable connected to that then to the little box that my headphones came with. But i am not getting any sound, when i searched online I saw how to enable it but i am not seeing the option to on the VISTA control panel and the flexijack mode thing under settings for the control panel the soundcard came with is grayed out. Does it just not see it or is there something not installed right?

your own gun from the center speaker is pretty standard. And correct in the surround mapping.
As for enemy fire. There should definately be action taking place behind you if enemy gunfire is behind you. You are hearing everything else in surround though? If so, it must be as designed. =/

  • GX600 digital sound output

So i have a gx600 notebook it works great and i love it, but recently I got tritton ax360 5.1 surround sound headset. They can plug into the three audio jacks and work okay although I dont have the use of the microphone on the headset or the surround sound processor that came with. Supposedly the headset works really well with a digital soundput, better than with most soundcards processing it.  The audio processor box has 2 different digital inputs, one plug for optical and the other plug coaxial. The realtek audio manager and the details of the gx600 indicate that it has a sp/dif output, a digital output yet I dont know where it is on the laptop how to use it and so forth.
Can someone tell me how I would convert whatever digital output on this laptop is to digital rca coax or optical?

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think it needs a special optical S/PDIF cable or adapter that plugs into the haedphone jack. The manual is pretty poor on that subject.
I have a portable DVD player that has optical S/PDIF output that requires such a cable.
Your best bet would be to contact MSI about that.

  • MacPro2,1 optical out surround issues

    Hi
I just bought some fancy Tritton AXPRO headphones for my gaming in bootcamp and windows 7.
They need that i have Dolby Live support (5.1) on my optical out. (found out after i bought them)
I dont know if the mac have this support. In the product description they say that they are compatible with mac. I don't know if they then only mean stereo.
It is very little information about the integrated sound card and it's 5.1 support.
Is it that it have 5.1 support but not Dolby digital Live?
I have been spending now hours on this and no manufacturer (Tritton & Apple) want to help.
So now Im reaching out to you and hoping for help.

Multichannel output options will appear automatically when connected to a multichannel input device. So make sure your Sony BD player supports multichannel inputs over Toslink. If it does not, the multichannel output option will not appear.
You should get something like this:
Notice the column on the left did not select "Built-in Audio" like yours - "HDMI" automatically appears when connected to an HDMI input, and disappears when disconnected.
The above is using the Mini DisplayPort output.
I have not attempted to use the MBP's optical output for multichannel audio, therefore I am not 100% certain you can use its optical output for that.

  • Enabling Digial I/O Module on Audigy

I am sorta suprised that there is not more documentation on enabling Digital I/O on the Audigy 2 besides where to plug it in on the card? I recently purchased a set of surround sound head phones that have coaxial and optical inputs so I purchased the Digital I/O module. I cannot find where to enable or to "power" the digital I/O anywhere in the software. I read something about doing "spdif" pass through but I cannot find anything like this? Do I need updated drivers? Please advise.
    thanks?-S

Yes it is the Audigy 2 Value, I purchased the I/O Module to work with a new pair of surround?sound head phones called the Tritton Ax360s. Please see the link below.http://www.trittontechnologies.com/p.../TRIGA600.html?Will I be able to get Digital sound from the head phones with this module on this card?Thank you!?

?What would be the optimal settings. I would like to get the best sound possible.

  • Monitoring 5.1 in STP with 5.1 Headphones

Monitoring 5.1 in STP with 5.1 Headphones:
    Hi,
I'm needing to monitor my 5.1 surround sound multichannel mix and eventual multitrack AIFF file export and was trying to avoid having satellite speakers and expensive set ups. I was looking at the Tritton AX Pro True 5.1 Headset which seems to support the optical output of my 2.8 GHx Intel core i5  iMac. (This is the bit I'm unsure of)
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0017IUFAE/ref=asc_df_B0017IUFAE2694837
Does this sound like a solution?  (excuse the pun) It also would mean I could listen to DVD's in 5.1 surround sound.
The reviews are good but it's the compatibility with the optical out and Soundtrack Pro that's the need to know.
Thanks for any help in advance.

    Thanks Barreltone,
I actually bought and tried out the headset before returning it. Nice idea that just doesn't work with a 5.1 source; no rear wrap around coverage- just pushes the sound further to left and right.

  • Multiple Headphone outs question

    Hi there,
I recently asked for a bit of help getting my home studio setup sorted and I just need a bit more advice please!
While I'm experienced in the live room of a studio, I'm still very much an amateur on the other side of the glass! Basically I'm just putting together a basic setup to track some demo's / ideas with my band. So far, I've got a Motu 8PRE interface running the drum and instrument mics into Logic and the outs from the 8PRE going to the monitors. My question is this...
How do I set up multiple headphone outputs with independent mixes so band members can have a custom mix in their headphones? I'm having a hard time figuring out how this would work and have no idea what I need to do in Logic to set it up, and also what hardware I might need.
If anyone could explain this, both how to set it up in Logic and the kind of hardware I would need that would be fantastic!
    Many thanks in advance

    1) Yes
    2) Sorry - I assumed that box had 8 outs too - I assumed wrong. You could get an additional multi-channel interface which accepts ADAT inputs as well as analog, which would give you great flexibility. MOTU makes several - better yet check out RME, Focusrite, and others. There are dozens on the market - it depends on your budget and future expansion plans.
    3) Yes, or a headphone distribution system - but again, your budget will determine this. Hear, Furman and Aviom all have systems. Or for much less, Presonus headphone amps. Depending on your physical set up, you might need a snake unless you're using an already wired recording room.
    Good luck.

  • ITunes no longer keeps speakers running on headphone jack

iTunes no longer keeps my external speakers running when connected by audio cable to the headphones jack. After 1:45 min:sec, my Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 speakers power down when connected to my computer playing iTunes.
The speakers do not power down for audio generated from other sources on my computer. When I play a video or audio file through Safari or another browser, the speakers work fine. When I listen to an audio file by selecting it in the Finder using Apple-Y ("quick-view"), the speakers run continuously until the end of the track without powering down. When I use the speakers configured the same way with other software (such as Skype), they work fine.
The speakers do not power down for audio generated from other DEVICES. When I plug the speaker cable into the headphone jack of either my iPhone 3Gs or my partner's mp3 player and play audio, the speakers work continuously.
I've looked at trouble-shooting for iTunes and found nothing on the Apple site or the web or in the iTunes preferences to keeping wire external speakers live during iTunes playback. I've tried having the speakers connected to a power source or running on batteries but the problem is the same. I've reset the speaker device with no change. I've reinstalled iTunes, no change. The Apple Store genius bar cleared all caches and restarted, no change. They reinstalled the computer system, but found no change.

    Hi Dexterdawg
Can you direct me to the thread as I can not sort out the same problem on my iMac
    Thanks

  • Headphones no longer work after being plugged into speaker

Hi i purchased a ipod touch 5th generation 32 gb bundle from target just over a week ago which came with the iCoustic 20 in 1 Accessory kit Model No : IC184. After plugging the ipod into the supplied speaker this morning trying to listen to music it kept making stacic like noises and changing volume it was alwful to try and listen so gave up and went back to taking it off speaker and playing it back through apple headphones but now after being plugged into the speaker the headphones wont work its just a buzzing sound if you turn the volume up all the way loud the music will come back through headphones then when turning it down it cuts out again or if you manage to get the music it will stop after a couple of seconds. I have done a factory reset but it has made no difference. Please help have a very upset daughter it is frustrating do we take this back for a refund and get a new one if so how do we keep the music and photos etc she has on this one? Thankyou.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R".
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • Headphones no longer working with iPad (first gen)

The audio on my iPad plays fine using the iPad's internal speakers or even via Airplay, but will not play through headphones any more (I've tried multiple pairs of headphones).  Before I go through the time and effort of having it serviced, is there some setting that could have been errantly changed that could account for this problem?
    TIA

  • No longer working with headphones

My daughter received a JBL docking station for Christmas, and after plugging in her iPod touch, the volume moves up and down rapidly (the screen indication) and will not play through headphones.  What's the next step?  I can't listen to her music ALL the time... this is why headphones were invented!

  • IPod no longer puts out sound, tried multiple resets/headphones

I have had my iPod for years, I believe I purchased it in 2006, and only days ago did it lose sound. I have tried to reset it, kill the battery, and I have also tried multiple headphones that work on other devices, to no avail. I've always had issues with it freezing, but never losing sound. It still indicates that it's playing, but no sound. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

It sounds like you have attempted all the known troubleshooting techniques.  It's more than likely that the headphone jack is a gone and is in need of replacement.

  • Headphone Jack No Longer Works

Does anyone know of headphones that may plug into the bottom outlet of the iPod, where it connects usually to stereo equipment. My iPod still works with this connection, to charge it, to listen on my computer, on my stereo but the headphone jack no longer works so I can't use it in my car or at other times.

Ok I just talked to headroom and with this adapter you can go directly to a set of headphones or to one of their amps. Additionally the pin connector provides improved sound quality over the cheap headphone jack that comes stock on the ipod.
