Trojan detected in Adobe ARM.exe

I recently installed the 30-day trial version of Adobe Lightroom 5 on a Windows 7 64-bit PC.
My anti-virus/firewall software (Agnitum Output Security Suite Pro) is now detecting a Trojan (Trojan.Kazy!WvUyGribrg) in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe
I opt to remove this, but it recurs each time I boot my PC.
I have run MalwareBytes, MSERT and TrendMicro Housecall, none of which detect any malware present.
From other internet posts it seems that some Trojans can infect AdobeARM.exe
But I wonder if this is a false positive? Possibly triggered by the mechanism Adobe uses to track the number of days remaining for the free trial of Lightroom?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Try uploading your AdobeARM.exe to VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/ and see how many positives you get.
For the record, I don’t have any ARM folder under c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and there is no AdobeArm.exe on my Win 8.1 computer with PS-CS6/CC/2014 all via CC.

From the contribution of this site, I understood it well.
Adobe ARM is a program to confirm the update of the reader at Adobe.

trying to download updated FF 6.x and got this:

I have not downloaded Firefox 6 yet, but the university here in Tempe, AZ, is telling its thousands of users that Firefox 6 contains a virus.

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional installed as part of a legal copy of CS3 Web on a Dell Lattitude D830 with Vista Business SP1. I have been using Acrobat without a problem until the latest update (8.1.2). After the installation I now get "A serious error has been detected and Adobe EPIC_APP cannot continue. Please reinstall the application and try again".
PS I opened Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other programs in the suite and do not have a problem. A search on the forums and Google shows other people with the same problem but no solution. Any suggestions?

An answer I found on Yahoo seems to solve the problem. I'm leaving it here in case someone else has the same problem:
Uninstall.
Reboot.
Install with Admin privileges ( right-click on setup.exe >Properties>Compatability Tab> Select Run as Admin)
Run it at least once from an admin account so it has access to Shell32.dll and can set the proper settings.

Error 1406.Could not write value Adobe ARM

Hi all,
I have tried to install the new version of Adobe Reader XI, but I keep getting the following error messages.
I have tried to follow suggestion by others on the web as to how to sort this problem out.
I have uninstalled adobe reader and restarted the computer.
tried to download again but still get the error message.
The full error message I got was,
Error 1406.Could not write value Adobe ARM to key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
I went to the registry HKEY_Local_Machine and then to the above location.
in the right hand side of the registry editor is listed ADOBE ARM "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe"
I have tried to delete this entry but my system wont let me.
I am running Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
I have 4 Gb RAM
I have an Intel core2 Quad Q6600 @2.40Ghz
I run Zone Alarm Extreme Security with virus protection.
I hope someone can help as I want to install Adobe Reader.

Okay here is what happened:
I purchased a new Mac because my old one was on the fritz. They put all of
my old programs on my new computer including my old Adobe Acrobat 7.0
Standard. Since I purchased a newer computer, I gave the old one to my
assistant. But the Apple people replaced the hard drive on the old one, so
none of the old programs were in the system. I purchased Adobe Acrobat XI
Standard for the new computer and figured I could just reload the old
acrobat on the old computer. But I had to buy new windows and parallels
programs in order to get the parallels program to work on the old computer.
Here¹s what it looks like:

Old Acrobat
How much more messy could this get?
Maybe I should put all of the old stuff on the old computer and all of the
new stuff on the new computer?
Or, maybe I should just update everything? Prior to this everything worked

Problem with adobe ARM

I have a problem with adobe ARM for actualization it the version of adobe reader. I have adobe Reader 10 and when I actulized the version 11 the message is No permision for "C:\Program files (86)\common files\Adobe/ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe". Is this about the registers???
Can anybody help me please.

The AdobeARM.exe is in the folder"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe"
The permision of the user is Read and execute.
I we use this adobe reader to read the files of our application "OPERA". Opera is a hotel Program to Process hotel management. I try to install the version 9 of adobe reader but its not compatible. The version 11 also is not compatible. only the version 10 of the reader.
Everytime I use the reader this problem pop-up. I don't know what to do.

ARM.exe error on Windows 8.1

ARM.exe error after updat from windows 8 to windows 8.1; sensapi is not suitable for windows or contains a fault?
error code 0xc000012f

I also get this error after upgrading to windows 8.1 along with Sensapi.dll No one on any boards gives me a fix.. Just standard answers of refresh windows or reinstall windows.
Why would i do that if the problem only exists on Adobe? When I X out the error messages Abobe works well?
This is just annoying constantly closing out these 2 error messages which have no effect on adobe..

Is this a false positive? 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen [trojan]' detected in 1 of Photoshop CC's files

I was doing an update of Photoshop CC via Creative Cloud when this popped up:
Virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen [trojan]'
detected in file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\RTA08570.
I would like to confirm if this is a false positive. It's the first time I got this. I am using Avira Antivirus on a Windows 7 laptop.

Probably not a false positive. I've got no file by that name in my Photoshop folder...
Could be malware dropped in that folder by some other agent.
Caveat: I don't know whether that's a legitimate filename used when installing the software. I got no hits using Avast! when installing here.

Then please delete the "MBLStore" and "OOBE" folders found in

on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Adobe
and delete the "AdobeMuse" folder found in
on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Preferences
on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\
on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Roaming
Then launch Muse. It will go through the first launch experience of asking for UI language, AdobeID, etc.

Adobe AIR - Inconsistencies in detecting whether Adobe AIR runtime is installed

Having installed Adobe AIR 1.5, we are at times getting a value of not installed from the getStatus() function of the air.swf located at http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/browserapi/air.swf
Has anyone else faced this issue before? If so, does anyone have any steps to resolve it?

In the second thread, it says:
“My issue seems to be specifically related to the use of "Silent Install". My client has a distribution license for the AIR runtime and is bundling the AIR installer with their installer. When Silent Install is used to install the AIR Runtime, Adobe's air.swf reports that the runtime is not installed. This happens until the user initiates an air app, at which point air.swf is able to detect the runtime installation.””
This seems to suggest there is a bug with the Silent Installer or with the air.swf getStatus function. I tried the steps above and was able to recreated and resolve the issue. Does anyone else know of a different workaround?

Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) Invalid plugin detected. Adobe Reader will quit.

This is the second time this has happen.
My system consists of the following:
PC running Windows 7 w/64bit
When I try to open a .pdf Iget a pop-up within 10 seconds say Invalid plugin detected. Adobe Reader will quit.
I paid the $39.00 from tech support to get this fixed in Aug. 2011 and now it's back.
I have gone through all the Adobe hoops and nothing has worked.

Do you have any 3rd party plugin installed for Adobe Reader? If not, close all running instances of Adobe Reader and delete the entire folder at: C:\program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\plug_ins.
Now goto Control Panel > Programs and Features. Locate the entry for Adobe Reader X and chose to repair the installation.
If you do have a 3rd party plugin installed, try uninstalling them and see if the issue is related to the same. If it works, do let me know which plugins were causing the issue so that I can have a look.
Hopefully, this should fix things.

Try the following:
uninstall any current Reader version using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
download and run the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Make sure you run both uninstaller & installer when logged in as an Administrator user.

Installing Master Collection on CS3--Adobe Updater.exe file says its open

I have CS3 Design Premium and have bought Master Collection. I am trying to install on Vista 32-bit Windows. I put in disk 1 and screen says the Adobe Updater.exe needs to be closed. IT IS NOT OPEN!
I really don't want to wait until Monay when they open. Does anyone know what to do?

Open task manager and see if you can find it under the process list (not applications) and turn it off.
