Trouble accepting project

Every time I put my project onto a DVD I get these warnings
Warning: The file ‘mcx_compositor’ found in the VIDEO_TS folder will not be included in the final disc.
Warning: The directory ‘/private/tmp/VIDEO_TS/Render Data’ will not be included in the final disc.
Warning: The file ‘UNTITLED_DISC.layout’ found in the VIDEO_TS folder will not be included in the final disc.
Warning: The file ‘VOB_DATA.LAY’ found in the VIDEO_TS folder will not be included in the final disc.
Any suggestions?

Looks like normal errors, build, format and test
The last last two are normal, you may want to set someplace else to build the project though to double check to see if the other two are then not included in the build folder (should work anyway regardless, but it is strange seeing those files in a final build folder.)

  • REQUIREMENT TO STOP BALANCE SHEET ACCOUNTS FROM ACCEPTING PROJECT AT JOURNAL CREATION OR ANY FINANCIAL DOCUMENT CREATION.

    Dear Gurus,
I have a requirement from my client to stop balance sheet account from accepting project at financial document creation or journal entry because this process distrupt the profit and loss account report or transaction report by project as balance sheet items are not expected to be part of this report.
Kindly advise on the way to achieve this to enable fulfill requirement and deliver excellence service.
    Kind regards,

    Hi Nagarajan,
    Thank you for your response.
My sample is whenever an entry is raised to be posted to a balance sheet account such account should not allow user to post but only in revenue and expense account. E.g. A Stock account should not allow project assignment but a cost of sales, expenses or sales revenue accounts should only accept project assignment.
Only P&L items should allow project assignments.
I hope this is clear is enough.

  • Trouble opening project in 6.0

I am having trouble opening a final cut project i have saved on my imac. I select the project and open it, but all i get is the rainbow colored wheel spinning and it never comes up. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

i tried ejecting the dvd i had in the disc drive in which some of the media in the timeline was on and i was able to open the project.

  • Trouble exporting projects

So I'm having trouble exporting .. Final Cut just keeps crashing when I try most types of Exports. If I select Share -- Master file, I'll get a beach ball, and then it crashes. The same with Share -- Apple devices. When I do Share -- YouTube, it seems to work. But at the final step, it just does nothing. Just hit Publish and it goes back to the project with no status bar or anything.
Part of the error that I get when it crashes includes:
    Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
    Exception Codes: 0x000000000000000d, 0x0000000000000000
I'm using 10.0.7. Any ideas of what might be going on and what I could do to correct? Thanks!

Here's a doc you may want to review.  Tells how to trash preferences and reinstall the app, the first two things to try.  BTW, "Repair Permissions" in Disk Utility is a waste of time, it has never "fixed" anything.

    Hello,
I am having trouble moving a project between edit suites using an X-San. When attemping to open the timeline in another room I receive two errors,
    1. Error: Access Denied
    2. Error: Out of Memory
I have check to make sure I have Read/Write Permissions ect.
Has anyone had this problem or know what might cause it?
    Thanks in advance!!

There seems to be a lag with the Mail.app in regards to synchronization with messages stored on the server even when selecting "Automatically synchronize changed mailboxes" under the Advanced tab for the account preferences.
As a test, after doing the same try taking the account offline and then online and or quit and re-launch the Mail.app.
Check if the transferred message is still in both locations on the server.

  • Troubles Saving projects w/ FMV

I am working on a POS training project. Because of this, the
PC is very restricted (no start menu, no explorer, no run window,
etc...). We have been able to install Captivate 2, and things have
been working well. I can record demonstrations and save them. I
then take the saved files to another machine to edit and finalize.
Projects with stills work with no troubles. I have some
pieces that require recording with full motion video. They record
fine. I am unable to save the project. I recieve an error saying
the files are locked by another program or user. This only happens
with projects with recorded full motion video. I assume this is a
permission problem, with the movie files created. I would assume
there are two ways to solve this. 1.) Find the temp files, and edit
their permissions. 2.) Run captivate as Admin.
Obviously solution 2, sounds like the better choice. However,
with the restrictions on the PC, this is difficult. I can get to a
DOS prompt from a protected part of the POS, which is how I have
installed and launch captivate. Is there a way to "run as" from
command line? If not, am I able to change ownership/permissions
from the command line? If so, where would I find these temporary
    files?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi ChrisBlackburn
In Captivate 2, if you click Options > Recording
Options... > Full Motion Recording tab, you will see where the
temp files are normally placed. You may want to try changing this
area and see if your results improve.

  • Trouble opening project

Hello, I hope I can get some help here.
I was using Premiere CS4 on a Vista 64 laptop when my hard disk became damaged and unusable. I got a new laptop, which has Windows 7 and has the same memory as my other (4 GB) and more hard disk space (500GB). I re-installed Premiere Pro and copied all my backup files into the right directories. The video is all in subfolders in My Videos. I was able to open all my projects successfully except (naturally) the most important one.
The project would either load up about 95%, then crash, or would open, but it couldn't find all or most of my video files, so I got the "Where is" dialog box. I located some of them, but I have 150 or so video cips, so it was tedious. After a while, I clicked Work Offline for the rest and went into the project without difficulty and the files I had linked to where there and were fine.
I saved, then exited just to test everything out. When I tried to load the project again, it absolutely would not open at all. I did this numerous times (happily I have a backup of the project file on a separate hard drive and made copies of it). The same thing always happens and I cannot understand it. It's a large project (for me) and probably has some 40-45 minutes of video in it, maybe 10 short sequences..What I don't understand is why for all my other video projects that are in the same folder (My Videos), Premiere will be able to find the video but for this one it won't. All the still image files will load just fine; they are in another directory.
Now the other important question. I've read a few questions similar to mine and the advice given for difficulties without possibly corrupt projects, and the suggestion was to link the offline files within the project using Project-Link Media until you find a problem. This would be fine with me, but when I try selecting offline clips in any of my projets, and go to the Project menu, Link Media will be inactive (gray instead of black) so I can't use. it. Mayvbe it's something very simple I'm not doing right. I actually haven't used this method before, and I am fairly new to Premiere Pro.
I would appreciate any help at all; I'm at my wit's end. this is a very important project for me, into which I have put an enormous amount of work.
    Thanks

Once you have done a Save (overwriting your PRPROJ file) with the media listed as Off-Line, you will now have to manually re-link each Asset.
Unless your Assets were spread around multiple folders, doing the linking, when Opening the Project is really pretty easy, as PrPro is smart enough to look in each folder, when you Find the first Asset in that folder, and gather the links for all other Assets in that folder. Repeat, for each folder, until done.
When I wish to do work Off-Line, I will ALWAYS do a Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy, and NEVER a Save. This ARTICLE will give you tips on the differences, plus some background on the PRPROJ files.

  • Trouble opening project from Adobe Premiere Production Studio 2.0 in CS 5.5

Have almost finished editing a project in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 when computer died - have upgraded computer and software to cs 5.5 and told over phone by Adobe that will be able to open current file saved in 2.0 in CS 5.5. no problems....
BUT...it's not working! Comes up with an error message saying it needs to be converted first and opens but there is nothing in the timeline and is asking to locate all the individual files, only to tell me they can't be used....!
Anybody have any advice on this...?
Sorry for the long winded question!!
    Thanks
    G

    Welcome to the forum.
While Opening, or Importing older Projects into newer versions of PrPro is usually possible, there can be issues.
First, when you have Opened the PrPro 2.0 Project, and allowed it to be converted, you will be prompted to Save that as a new Project Name. That is what you want to do.
Next, when that converted Project Opens, twirl open the Bins, to find the Sequence, and Dbl-click that, to get it to display.
As for the location of the files, since you are now on a new computer, it is very likely that the Path to the Assets has changed, and probably due to the drive letter - those Paths are absolute, so much be exact in all cases. When asked "Where is file ____ ?" use the Finder to locate that, in its new location, and select it. PrPro will then look in that folder for all other necessary Assets, and will automatically link to them, as well. If the Assets are in separate folders/sub-folder, you will have to repeat that first step for each folder/sub-folder. Then, so long as the Paths to the Assets, or the Assets themselves, are not changed, all should be fine. At this point, I would do a Save_As, incrementing the Project's Name.
    Good luck,

The stack trace tells you exactly what to do:
Open your race.java in a text editor, turn on line number display, and go to line 38. Keep following the stack trace until you find out which reference is null. Figure out what that object is null and fix it.
Looks like a Swing component has a reference to null that it shouldn't.
This has nothing to do with NetBeans.

  • Publishing, Captivate 4 - Trouble linking projects - Presentation tomorrow!

We are fairly new users to Captivate and are now trying to publish multiple projects we've created.  They are set to link to one another using the "open other project" option (button preference settings).
Now that they're published we're getting the .htm, .cwf, and the .js files but are still getting errors that they can't find one another.  We also tried putting them all into the same folder instead of the subfolders it creates.
Is there an easy step we're missing or any tips on what might correct this type of issue.
    Thanks!

Sorry, I have nothing to suggest. Perhaps another author does.

  • Trouble opening project files with Windows 7 computer - Elements 8

I recently purchased a new Dell computer running Windows 7 platform and installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8 software.  This is the same software version that I ran on an older computer running Windows XP.  I have transferred all files to the new computer, but when I try to open slide show project files created on old computer, I get the followning error message:  "The file(s) listed will not be imported as it is not a supported file type."  This is the same software version, but running on a Windows 7 instead of XP platform.  What can I do to open these files?  I would not rather start over on these files on new computer.

  • Trouble moving projects from one computer to another

In the prospect of clearing up space, I am moving projects from my hard drive to an external.  In order to make sure things are moving properly I open up a project from the external onto another computer, different from the one I moved the projects off of.  When I open up the project, part of the original footage (.MTS file) does not show up in the timeline.  The blue rectangle that represents the footage is striped.  When I open up the exact same project onto the original computer from the external everything is fine.
Also, when I was opening up a project from the external to the other computer the "Locate Media" pop up appears wanting me to link all the media, but all the media has been checked off, as if all the media has already been found.  Why does it do this?
    Thanks,
    Josh

    Hi Josh,
Check this out: Moving projects to another computer: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS1BF3BAAB-A930-44e3-8DFA-50D5C58A1A1Aa.h tml#WS3D22F379-B6C7-4d8c-9548-26AA3E1EA74F
Likely you have some of the MTS file structure missing. The best way to move projects, IMHO, is to use the Project Manager.
    Thanks,

  • I am having trouble opening projects in Encore CS3.  "project folder cannot be found"

Encore will not open my project files.  I get the message "project folder cannot be found".  Unlike Premiere Pro however it does not ask where they are.

Did you change the name on assets only?  Or did you change the name of files/folders that were in the main En project folder?  If the latter, then I think you're hosed.  If the former, then En should ask you where they are when you open the project.
Try putting the top-level En project folder in the same parent folder as the En project file.  If you can remember what the original parent folder was called, use the same parent folder.  Leave everything else as is.  Launch En from the Start Menu and choose the Open Project option from the Welcome screen.  Navigate to where the En project file is and select that.  Open the project.
    What happens?

  • Trouble Sharing Project as AVI

Recently I found the save as an .avi file missing from the share menu in Premiere Elements 11.  After reinstalling twice, I finally got it to reappear but a few days later it is gone again.  I've searched all over the Internet and Adobe.com for the cause and fix for this strange probelm, but as of yet have found no answer.  I've had to start using the previous version of Premiere Elements I own, version 7, to save in the .avi format and have not experianced the same problem with that version.
If anyone can help me figure this out, I'd very much appreciate it.
My computer is a custom build with Win7 Premium.
    John

    Welcome to the forum.
I have never read of the AVI option disappearing from PrE. There are basically two, MS AVI (where one can then set the Compression CODEC), and the DV/DVC AVI, which will produce a DV AVI w/ the DV/DVC CODEC. Do both of those disappear on you?
Normally, we suggest the DV-AVI, as its compression is only about 5%, and those are the files that PrE was written around for an SD (Standard Definition) Project.
I often use the MS AVI, with one of the lossless CODEC's, like Lagarith, or UT Lossless. Those files are a bit larger, but are visually lossless. This helps out, if I need to migrate the output files for later editing in other applications, such as After Effects.
However, for most one-trip operations, the DV-AVI works very well, with little, if any, visual loss in quality - until one gets to about 3 generations.
You mention PrE 7, but it seemed that that was the version that you have fallen back to. If that is correct, what version was losing the AVI format?
Good luck, and I hope that others have seen this, and will have some useful input for you.
