Trouble adding photos manually to photo stream

neither dragging photo from event/album into photostream nor sharing photo into photostream worked.
can someone help? thanks!

I've done all of the above and no luck. "ICloud Photo Library" and "Upload to My Photo Stream" both have their sliders set to the right, they are showing green and they are turened on.
If I download to my IPad using Sony's Play Memories software the pictures do appear in my ICloud photo library. However, when Aperture uploads photos from an album to photo stream they do appear in photo stream on Aperture, but not in the ICloud Photo Library on my IOS 8.1 devices..

  • TS3989 Trouble w/ photo stream.

Hi, I'm having some trouble w/ iCloud photo stream. I have photo stream enabled on my iPhone and the pictures apear in the photo stream album in my iPhone, I'm also conected to my office wifi, but when I check my macbook the pics don't sync. I don't know how to check online if the pictures are actually in my iCloud account. I'm sure iCloud is properly set up because my contacts are already synced. however i've added new contacts and the new contacts don't appear on my mac or on the cloud. SOMEONE HELP!!!

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Are you actually logged into the same iCloud accounts on both devices, are all the services that you require to use checked in iCloud on both devices.

  • HT4906 Trouble Syncing Photo Stream with iPad

I am using 9.1.5 latest iPhoto yet I am unable to set Photo Stream in iMac system preferences. I am running 10.7.2? Any additional thoughts? The Photo Stream icon in iCloud preferences is grayed out. "iPhoto udate requiered" Puzzled

9.1.5 is not the latest iPhoto. 9.2.3 is, and you need 9.2 minumum and 10.7.4 for Photostream. So, run Softeare Update.

  • Trouble adding photos into iMovie project

In one particular Project, when I try and add still photos, when I drag them into the project window I see the green line and the green 'plus sign', but then the pictures are not actually added...why is it doing this? It works in other Projects, so I'm wondering if it's just a glitch.

I had this problem last year (August-Sept 2007), and I'm having it again now (August 2008). When I import jpeg photos from iPhoto to iMovie, they turn black and are not accessible in iMovie. In addition, this time when I imported several photos, the replay of the iMovie became jerky. When I threw out the photos, the movie became smoother, the way it was originally. There seems to be some sort of bug that has not been fixed in over a year.

  • Trouble adding photos from iPhoto

I've been getting an error message whenever I try to update my nano:
"Some of your photos, including the photo "PICT0002.JPG" were not copied to the iPod "iPod nano 4GB" because they cannot be displayed on your iPod."
After updating, it appears that indeed none of the photos in the selected iPhoto album have been added. I have used the same procedure for adding these pics to my iPod photo (iPod preferences in iTunes) without any problems.
    Any ideas?

    Metrodus,
I am having the exact same problem. The photos I am trying to sync are in JPG format from a Ricoh Digital Camera.
I am running iTunes 5.0 on Windows XP SP2 using an iPod Nano (4GB).
I have tried sync'ing other supported file formats and get the same error message.
I have over 2.5GB available space on my iPod.
Have you been able to fix this?

  • I'm having trouble adding photos to iMovie '11 (same issue when I was on '09).

I start a new project in iMovie and drag a photo over from my desktop. I see the green line and then drop, the photo does not add.  I tried using the media tables and dragging events, albums, and individual photos, but the same thing happens.  The only thing I can add is video from my events section.  Nothing else sticks.
I did have some issues a few months ago with permissions where I lost all my music in itunes because I deleted a file by mistake.  I have tried a verify/repair permissions update in disk utility.  The iMovie problem still exists.  Open to any suggestions.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for pointing to that thread wvozzolo. It will be a good idea to set up a new user account and test iMovie when logged into that account. I'm not clear on whether it's best to set up an Administrator account or a Standard account. Perhaps these Apple support articles will help:
    Creating a new user account:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
    Mac 101: Mac essentials:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2477
    What is a user account?:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/15599.html
    What is an administrator account?:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8229.html
Have you tried deleting the preference file, as I suggested above? If that doesn't work, and the new user account doesn't do the trick, perhaps there is a conflict with a QuickTime plug-in. Look in the folder MacIntosh HD/Library/QuickTime for 3rd party plug-ins such as Flip4Mac and Perian (there may be others). Update these to the latest versions and check iMovie again. Otherwise, drag the plug-ins out of the QuickTime folder to the Desktop to see if that helps.

  • Trouble Adding Photos

I'm having the same problem it seems a lot of Nano/Photo users are having in that my iPod tells me there isn't enough space when there is. I have 5.5 MB free but when I try to add even a single 40 KB photo I get the "some photos were not copied" message and nothing is ever transferred. Has anyone figured out how to get around this yet? Is the only solution to delete some of my music and leave a certain amount of space free?

I know how to sync a folder, my problem is that it's
not working. I have 22 pictures amounting to 3MB and
I have no freed up 44MB of space, but I still get the
"Some photos were not copied..." message. When I
moved the folder I'm syncing to the My Pictures
folder, I don't get the message anymore but it still
    doesn't add any photos.
    same here. Please help us.

  • Photo stream added to side bar but not updating

I've added Photo Stream to the Finder Side Bar of OSX Mavericks through the Smart Folder Saved Search option.
However, the photo stream in the Finder Side Bar is not updating with new pictures taken from my iPhone.
Would anyone have a solution possibly to allow the photo stream to update and be shown in the Finder?

Hmmm... not sure about PC but I did have this same problem while syncing to my MAC... the cause was that my contacts sync was conflicting with other sync data... Once I changed settings for Mobile Me with contacts and address book it was resolved...
For PC... my only guess would be that a program that is told to sync contacts doesn't allow or is conflicting with the assigned photo you've set on iPhone...

  • Photo Stream workflow

I am having trouble getting Photo Stream workflow to work efficiently. Here's what I am doing so far.
Take photos using iPad or iPhone. Once the device connects to WiFi, photos will upload to iCloud automatically.
Run iPhoto or Aperture to download photos from Photo Stream.
Manually verify that all the photos are in iPhoto or Aperture.
Manually delete photos (but not video) on iPhone and iPad.
Steps 1 and 2 are incredibly easy. But steps 3 and 4 seem needlessly convoluted. Is there any way to configure iPhone and iPad to automatically delete photos that have been backed up to Photo Stream?

Is there any way to configure iPhone and iPad to automatically delete photos that have been backed up to Photo Stream?
    No.
Photostream is also not designed to be a "backup" solution. It is just what the name says : a stream of pictures across your network and its attached devices. You pick what you like or watch it as entertainment.
Photostream can not be managed, has no further settings and manual selection of what is included or deletion of individual pics is also not there.

  • Photo stream not putting all photos on iPhone 5

I have a imac with all my photos stored . I have just purchased a iphone 5 and also using ipad2 which i have done ios 6 update.
My photo stream shows 750 photos on imac for which that is showing them all on my ipad2 but my iphone has only downloaded 139.They say you only keep them for 30 days which must be wrong as i have them all on ipad. When i bought iphone5 i did icloud set up as i had iphone4s before.
    Any help please.

While photos in a device's photo stream album remain, the photos in the photo stream server in icloud remain for up to 30 days.  So if you recently added photo stream to a device and the stream photos in icloud are over 30 days and thus have been automatically deleted, your device won't have any stream photos synced to it.  It sounds like that is the case with your iphone.

  • Photo Stream Events and Organization

I have been organizing my iPhoto library and after getting my iPhone I am having some trouble understanding Photo Stream. I take pictures with my iPhone and I see them show up in events in iPhoto (such as Oct 2011 Photo Stream). Are these pictures only apart of my Photo Stream or are they copied to my computer? I only ask because I know that Photo Stream has a limit, and when I reach that limit will these photos get deleted? Thanks for any replies.

These photos you are seeing in the events did come from photostream.  But, they were uploaded to your Mac so they will not be deleted.  The photostream folder, though, is temporary, and eventually those will be deleted.

  • Does photo stream work?

Does it effectively push all the photos you take or import to all your Macs and iPad?
I have 2 Macs and iPad, but one of the Macs is not up-to-date with all my pics. Will photo stream automatically sync that Mac with the other Mac and iPad which are up-to-date or will I have to import the missing pics to that Mac some other way?
I have been reluctant to buy this product because of all the negative reviews.

    http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/photo-stream.html
It streams all of the photos you take - it does not stream the ones you import or ones taken prior to adding Photo Stream
