Trouble after down loading photos
Hi I am very thick with computers and need help recently I can't get the photos I down load to stay they down load do iphone cameras etc but when I go out of the program then go back in nothing is their no in last imported,events albums etc don't no what to do as had Imac 3 years and it has never done this before can anyone help in baby language for me please I love my photos and don't want to go back to my husbands vista

It sounds like something is preventing images from being saved into iPhoto.
There are several possible sources for this, the most common of which are low free space on your hard drive or damage to your iPhoto Library.
How much available space is on your hard drive?
To try and resolve your issue:
Ensure all your software is up to date (Apple Menu > Software Update).
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Your User > Library > Caches (I remove the whole folder. It will be re-generated upon restart.)
Your User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
If the issue persists try rebuilding your iPhoto Library following this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2638. Use the bottom 3 rebuild options.

No, your old Word files should still be where you left them and can be opened by either a current version of Office:mac or even Apple Pages (more or less). The problem that you are having (we think) is that you are trying to run an older version of Microsoft Office:mac (e.g. Office:mac 2004 or older) and this software was compiled for a PowerPC processor. The last few versions of the Mac OS has allowed PowerPC programs to run on an Mac with an Intel processor through a translation system called Rosetta that converted PowerPC code to Intel code. However, Apple stopped providing that software in 10.7 so any PowerPC applications will no longer run.
Office:mac 2008 and Office:mac 2011 will run on an Intel-based Mac and therefore will run on 10.7. -
Down loading photos from PC to playbook
Hi everyone I have just got myself a Playbook 16G. I am having big problems down loading photos from my Imac PC unto the Playbook. I down loaded the software and the screen I get up which shows the photos I have stored on the PC come up in a numerical order with a tick box beside them, I really can see whats on the photo and my selection wont work unless I select all and even when I tick the boxes the system wants to download the lot. Anyway I stopped the downloading and now when I try again to pick individual photos it wont let me and I get a message up saying it cant find the place to store the photos??I have taken the desktop software out and reloaded it and still get the same unfriendly screen and the same message that it cant find the storeage in Playbook. Anybody out there able to help me with this problem? I have tried the usb to on etc but to no avail also noticed that the desktop software freezes my PC up sometimes and I have to shut it down at the PC power switch??? Best regards Gerry

Go to Solution.In your PC go to window explorer, your main hard drive, mine is C . Then below you will see in your usb port a Z and number beside it.
click the z port and all the data in there will show up.
Just drag the pictures you want in to the picture file. The same is for music, just drag the list of songs you want into the music file. -
Why does Flip-Pa Scanner's SD card down load photos to Organizer even though the photos are already in Organizer. My preferences are to not load again photos already in Organizer. My camera SD card loads photos only one time.
My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

ACR6.7 for CS5 should also handle D800 images. You may still get a warning message about needing 7.1 (which implies also having CS6), and the manual defringing tool was added to LR after ACR 6.7 came out, but other things should be the same.
If LR 4.2 isn’t reading your D800 images, then perhaps they are being corrupted. If you are using an obsolete version of Nikon Transfer, that could be one way to corrupt them. You may be able to fix Nikon Transfer corrupted NEFs, with this tool: http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/fix_corrupted_nef.html -

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. No my phone was never been jailbreak-ed. Never been dropped in water or in any wet surface. Dropped on the floor while texting yes, but it was just a one time incident, last year august i can clearly remember, but after that no more (phone still works fine even after.) restored the phone again earlier, but problem still occured. Will try to go to Apple also to ask and have it checked. Just worried because my phone is already out of warranty. Will keep you posted. Again, thanks. If you have any more advice just let me know. It would mean a lot.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

When I down load photo albums from my computer to my i pad using i tunes, it erases my prior album. My picture are stored in Picasa. Can you help me download multiple albums without losing any of them. Thank you.
Photos that you sync from your computer can't be deleted directly in the iPad's Photos app, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you need to include all the albums that you want to be on your iPad in each photo sync, what you are effectively currently doing is telling iTunes to replace the last synced album with the new one.

Basically, though, the version of TechTool on the AppleCare disks is not compatible with newer versions of OS X and/or Macs (I can't remember which). If you don't get a satisfactory response by posting in the appropriate iMac or OS X forum, I suggest you take your iMac to the geniuses at the Apple Store. You can set up an appointment time for the same day online before you leave home.
