Trouble after installing PSE10

I just downloaded PSE10 on my PC with PSE9 already installed. PSE9 has worked fine for several months. Installation of PSE10 went fine without problems. But it won't start. And PSE9 will now only start if the PC is rebooted, and the editor will not start from the organiser any more. Running Task Manager shows that Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe *32 loads, but it disappears after a few seconds.
Any suggestions? My system has 8 Gb ram and runs Win7 Home Premium.

Try turning off internet security and anti-virus temporarily whilst re-installing.
Then turn your protection back on again when the installation has finished.
No need to deactivate when reinstalling on the same PC.

Hello. I have the exact same problem and have not been able to fix it. I have a SB Li've with an Asus P4b Motherboard. I've tried many things (playing with Codecs, updating drivers, even returning the card back to the store thinking the problem was hardware). The second card did the samething. I also tried to change the card from its PCI slots (I've tried them all) but it's still creates weird noises when playing MP3s and MPEGs, whatever the slot. Hopefully, I have a sound card integrated to the motherboard, so I use this one instead, but it's not as powerful. When using the SB card, I make sure to deactivate the motherboard's sound card in the BIOS to avoid conflicts. Could anyone help ? I've had this card for a couple of years now and have never been able to use it.

Trouble after installing Acrobat X Pro in Windows 7

I just downloaded Acrobat X pro (upgrade) and installed on Windows 7 dell laptop. I had to uninstall ACROBAT 7.1 STD to do a clean install. After installing the product I was receiving low memory messages (4GB is installed) I also received a couple of blue screen followed by auto reboot. Dell claim that there is no hardware issues (brand new laptop). Are there any known issues with ACROBAT X Pro and Windows 7 pro (32bit) service pack 1

Troubles after installing the latest download

After installing the download, I can no longer see my sms conversations after I respond to them, The whole conversation disappears and the only way to see it is to text the person again or go to their contact page and hit the sms button, this is really annoyng. I have also lost an application I installed through the classic emulator. Does anyone know how to fix these issues?

For the classic application check and see if you are on the current update by going to updates or opening the app catalog and clicking on the shopping bag. If you are check and see if the prc file is still in the apps folder on the USB drive.

WSUS 3.0 SP2 troubles after installing KB2938066 (0xC000000D)

I ran into a problem in our WSUS environment after installing the latest hotfix KB2938066.
We have WS2008R2 SP1 (fully patched) for WSUS-Upstream server and couple of the same servers for WSUS-Downstream.
Previous functional version of WSUS was 3.2.7600.256.
After installing KB2938066 (v3.2.7600.274) the WU/MU clients updated, but on some machines, mostly on servers with WS2008R2 SP1 (RADIUS and Domain Controllers), they now have problems installing updates.
The error I see in '0xC000000D', which is something peculiar and not well searchable on the internet.

Trouble after installing Security Update 2005-009

After installing Security Update 2005-009 I experienced some minor problems with Dashboard where some widgets no longer work and a more annoying problem with CodeTek VirtualDesktop Pro, which exits directly after launching the app (the desktop pager and menu appear and then the app quits). Tried repair of permissions, deleting of VirtualDesktop Pro's prefs, reinstalling the app, etc. - so far nothing helped. CodeTek does not answer my support requests. Has anyone experienced similar problems?

I would completely uninstall all 3rd party widgets. Restart. Then see if the problem goes away.
It's likely to be an issue with one of your widgets. And possibly a combination of specific one with a specific another.

Some troubles after installing SP2

Greetings to all,
we're experiencing some troubles after the installation of the service pack 2 for Excelsius 2008: formatting options of various components are not matching what we see on the dashboard in preview mode (for example, values in horizontal progress bars or values in list views show numbers like 123.456,78000 while the formatting option is set to 2 decimals and show thousand separator. Same strange behaviour in percentage values where you see 00% while the relative option is set to percentage, 1 decimal).
Is there any workaround or any solution to this problem?
It's quite annoying.

you only need to use a crossdomain file if your Xcelsius model is retrieving data from a domain different than yours.
Error 2170 is from a security nature in adobe. Mark your files as trusted here:

Troubles after installing Catalyst and re-installing KDE

Hi everybody, when I was installing arch I was following the wiki and installed the open source driver xf86-video-ati and KDE (the last version in the repository). After that everything worked fine, until I heard about some nice games that run on Linux. This is the place where the troubles began. I read that I should switch video drivers with the catalyst ones for better 3D performance. After a couple painful days I had the Catalyst working... or had I. In this painful period I uninstalled the xf86-video-ati driver, installed the Catalyst (several times), after that I had many crashes from the KDE so I decided to re-install it too :] So the result from all this is: I can play the games that I wanted, but many of the nice KDE effects disappear (ex. the window switching - whatever type of window switch I select I get the basic one) plus the synaptics drivers don't work. I also found some errors in the /var/log/kdm.log file:

There's your problem. Are you using the xorg111 repo? If not, enable that and then pacman -Syuu.
As a warning, xorg-server 1.11 is now broken with the new udev package (at least until someone rebuilds it and updates the repo). You'll need to rebuild it manually to avoid this.

Trouble after install stage - LR quits after a few seconds

Hey, I was a suer of the beta and temporary license. I then purchased a box version, de-installed everything. When I launch LR, the screen where I can choose to purchase, use demo (option is no longer opened) vanishes after too few seconds for me to do anything useful and the application quits. Anyone having faced this ? My system is Apple PowerMac G5 Dual, OS X 10.4.9

I have this same problem, and I did a clean installation.
Hardware:
2009 MacBoook Pro 17" 3.06 C2D; 4 GB RAM, 256 Apple SSD
While loading the browser is quick starting up, I notice a delay to open any website, like it's preloading the entire page versus just loading. Safari seems like it's a bit sluggish overall with loading web pages.
Did a internet speed test and my U/D rates are the same after the upgrade.

Trouble after installing ITunes 8.2 64bit

After upgrading/installing I cannot start ITunes. I get the message 'The ITunes library .itl file cannot be found or created. The default location for this file is in iTunes folder in the music folder.'
I tried uninstalling iTunes then reinstalling but I still get the same message.

Maybe it's trying to create one, but doesn't have enough permissions in Vista. Take full control and owernship of the entire user folder (whatever account you'reusing in Vista) and all its subfolders.
This will include the iTunes subfolder, and have enough permissinos to create things in it.

Having trouble after installing new processor

ok, got a 1ghz processor upgrade from ebay for the 350mhz agp graphics g4.
installation goes ok
the thing boots twice normally
then on the third startup drops the screen resolution when the grey apple and affectionatly named "spinny thing"to what looks like 800x600 and then comes up with an open firmware prompt.

Ok Update. Thinking this may have been a hard drive problem, i removed the 80gb master hard drive and set the 120gb hard drive slave as the master. 1 drive on 1 ide cable.
The Cd rom drive is set as master and is the only drive on the other ide cable.
The system Bootchimes, and Flashes the "Cant find you're OS dude!" symbol at me.
So restart after inserting the OS 9 disk (i always install os 9 first so i can use classic or play quake 3 ) it is an official Retail copy of international english 9.04. hold down c, the cd rom drive spins up, flashes at me a few times and then does nothing. The Screen goes grey.
So i restart pressing alt to see if i can get it to boot the cd that way. The screen comes up recogising the cd as a valid OS Boot up choice.
press the next arrow and same thing, cd rom drive spins up but doesnt do anything.
i get the feeling im missing something. But i cant figure it out. Any suggestions?

Printer and App troubles after installing Tiger

just installed OS X.4-Tiger. now can't get anything to print and can't open up some existing applications. do i need to reinstall printer drivers and the applications? any help would be much appreciated!

yes, check for an appropriate updates on web for brand/model of printer concerned; then if none found use your original printer CD's to install drivers related to that printer.
Had same problem with Canon s9000 drivers not being recognised after upgrade to 4x.

Trouble after installing a time machine back up on my new macbook pro

The time machine back up actually worked well. The issue is that the new mac is a macbook pro and the time machine install was from a mid 2009 Macbook air. It is saying that the mail program cannot be used on the operating system. I would assume it has installed an old mail program on my new machine and that is the issue. The machine does not come with a cd to install the upgraded mail so how do I fix this issue?

I accidentally bypassed the restore from Time capsule portion when I first started the computer so had to do this.
You actually don't want to do this. The hardware in your new MacBook Pro is significantly different from your 2009 Air. You may end up with stability issues and potentially a system that won't even boot into the OS. Podini's suggestion is best.

So tonight I decided to try installing Mavericks on my MacBook Pro. The installation seemed to be completed without any problems, and the computer restarted itself. But now the computer has been stuck on the white sceen white an Apple-logo and a spinning wheel for several hours. What do I do? I am afraid of deleting eveythibg, if I press down the power- button or try to reboot it somehow - but I feally don't kbow what to do, so please help...
