Trouble after updating the lastest firmware 2.7 for mac ox 10.7.3

I had updated 10.7.3 for a couple of week and then I installed new firmware by "software update" 2.7. Before I updated new firmware, "OS X Lion" in Appstore was "Installed", after I install new firmware, it did not "Installed" any more and show me the cost ($29.99). I dont know why and I try to click on it. Suddenly, the Appstore begin to download OS X 10.7.3 again while I'm using this version!!!
Please help me Apple is coming to release "Mountain Lion".I don't want to buy "Lion" again and waste  $29.99
Help me!!

Actually, it looks like your install did not go well. On a G5, 10.3.9, we have no such errors. Among the things to watch for: incomplete downloads; make sure you are not installing as root user. Other: did you check these installation notes: http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/docs/2/Installation_ReleaseNotes.html#hwsw
There is a troubleshooting table as well that pertains to all platforms.

  • After updating adobe flash and restarting firefox for mac, as requested, can't restore previous session

using macbook pro with os 10.7.5, was recommended to update adobe flash while in firefox (22.0). did so, which required closing and restarting firefox during flash update. when complete, firefox opened automatically to adobe flash window and restore previous session was grayed out. can't figure out how to find and restore the tabs i had been using. related questions and answers don't find a solution. my settings are all normal and do not appear to have any relation to the problem. rather, it seems to be the closing and reopening of firefox associated with the updating of flash that nuked any memory of my previous session. is there a solution?

i found my own solution to my problem! first of all, DON'T QUIT FIREFOX -- to be sure the current undesirable session doesn't become the "previous session". instead, open a new window (command-N). in my case, it opened to my usual default url and, while in that window (either before or after closing the first browser window that had opened automatically after updating adobe flash), the "restore previous session" option in history menu reappeared! clicked on it and, from then on, things just worked normally.

  • The appearance (toystory alien) is disappeared after updating the lastest version.

It's not able to see even 'Enable'.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.

*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

  • Problems after downloading the lastest version of iTunes for my iPod Touch. Now whenever I switch on my laptop and access the internet I get an error message. 2nd time this has happened and I'm fed up trying to fix it. Anybody having similar problems?

I've downloaded iTunes 10.5 onto my iPod Touch, no problems but I've now got a constant error message on my laptop everytime I switch it on and access the internet. The message is "The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll"
This is the 2nd time this has happened. Last time iTunes Support called and we ran through a load of checks to no avail. The only option was to delete iTunes completely off my laptop and go for a new download of it. Can anybody tell me how to do it - didn't write it down last time, silly me, never thought it would happen again. Also sent an email to iTunes Support - waiting for a response.

I find Mail under Mavericks to be weird. Are others having this same/similar difficulty? "Upgraded" to Mavericks last week, after updating the firmware to my WD external HD.

    "Weird" needs further explanation.
Google's highly nonstandard IMAP implementation is weird, if you're using Gmail, though Apple bent over backwards to accomodate it. Other than that, what do you mean by "weird"?

  • After downloading the lastest update, IOS 6, my iphone will not download apps.

after downloading the lastest update, IOS 6, my iphone will not download apps. help

I'm having the same problems. Can't even find out if Apple is working on it. Tried to downgrade but is not supported by apple so error 3194 comes up which is verifying with the apple web site. Which then stops everything. I understand you can modify the "hosts" file to by pass the issue, but hate doing that as it gets involved. May try it if I can't get any satisfaction from apple.

  • Wi-Fi stops working after updated the firmware of carrier

    Hi all,
Here is my device info: iPhone 4, iOS 4.1, Carrier Three Australia (unlocked).
I was updating a few applications through 3G signal when I saw a prompt on my phone asking me to update the carrier firmware. So I did. The phone just stopped downloading for the applications and could not be paused.
Things seemed to be alright after a reboot, until I found out the problem of the Wi-Fi connection. It ticks the wifi connection which is listed in the wifi networks, but there is still a "3G" symbol besides the signal bar. When I turn on the Airplane Mode and use the Wifi only, the wifi symbol won't come up and there is no connection at all.
I tried everything, rebooting, resetting, restoring and renewing the lease, none of them helped.
Does anyone know why is that happening and how to fix it? I am literally running out of my data usage...

iphone 3G, upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1, WiFi no longer works
Right when I upgraded to 4.1 my WiFi started going On/Off/On/Off over and over.
the phone itself worked smoother, but at the Expense of my WiFi..
1st I Reset all my Network settings=no help
2nd I JUST Reset my Whole Iphone= No Help
.. I did restore my last backup so I could keep my settings,
I guess I need to Restore, with NO BACKUP.. loose all my stuff and have to
waste all that time trying to get things the way I want them and HOPE TO ALMIGHTY APPLE GOD that my wifi will work..
.. I guess we ALL need to email apple and get them to fix it in the next year or so..
... I so wish they'd FIX their new iphone4 antenna issue, then I'd give up my 3G.
Otherwise I'll have to wait for the newer iphone
( and NO, their bumper guard on their screwed up iphone4 is No Fix )
Is apple purposely throwing wrenches into 3G & 3GS so we'll have to buy up their screwed up iphone4 ?

  • Jumbled text in web interface after updating Web Services / firmware

I got a message on the screen of my Officejet 6700:
    Update Recommended
An update is available for Web Services (ePrint and Apps).
    Do you want to proceed?
I selected Update Now, and it installed fine, or so I thought.
I checked the web interface for the printer, and find there is a bunch of jumbled text, like the code is messed up for the web server.
I had just finished checking the status of ink cartridges (and subsequently replaced one), therefore I fortunately still have the fully functioning webpage open on another machine, so I can tell exactly what the before-and-after is on that one page.
On the Tools > Ink Gauge page, on the good (old) page the table says (title, first row, first column):
    Installed Cartridges
    Color | Magenta | Cyan | Yellow | Black
    Part Number
    Type
    End-of-Warranty Date (Y-M-D)
    First Installation Date (Y-M-D)
    Ink Zone
    USE
    HP
But after updating the software, it says this:
    Print Self Test Page
    L@S#0456 | Number of Logged Events | L@S#0462 | L@S#0552 | L@S#0450
    Accumulated Media Usage
    Date
    L@S#0477
    L@S#0561
    L@S#3345
Also, the "Order Supplies" link, with a popup text of "Order printing supplies"
now says "Ink Cartridge", with a popup text of 'Block unwanted faxes"
And "Print Printer Status Report" now says "L@S#2567".
I went to the support section, and found a firmware update, but upon downloading and running it, upon finding the printer, it says it is already Up-to-date, and won't let me select it to try and re-apply the firmware update (as that's evidently what going through the touchscreen menu has already done).
Do I need to just restore to factory settings? I would think firmware wouldn't be changed by doing that. There isn't an old version of the firmware available on the product support page, to revert to an older version.
Via the printer touchscreen menu, a printed Printer Status Report says the firmware version is MPM3CN1322DR.
How do I force a re-install of the firmware, or get them to fix the firmware that was published on 2013-06-25?
    This question was solved.

    michaelprang,
You are unable to revert back or reinstall the firmware since it has already been downloaded and updated.
Have you attempted to use a different web browser?

  • Music player problem after updating the latest ver...

After updating the latest version for my phone, everything seems perfect. But today i see there is a serious problem of the music player. I still can play the music but i cannot change to another song or exit the player because whenever i do that, it is frozen (only music player).
Does everyone have the same problem and knows how to make it work smoothly again? Thanks
Message Edited by beingkiller on 17-Jan-2010 04:14 AM

HI even my phone has stopped responding. I had a backup file in .nbu format created using the PC suite. I restored the phone using the backup file but it didnot help me. I cannot play even 3 songs consecutively, the player is getting hang and I am forced to restart. Please do not update your firmware. All the problems after I updated my firmware to 40.0.005 version. I am planning to take my phone to nokia care and reset the whole software once again so that it comes with the factory settings.

  • Update the EFI firmware (1.5)

A beginner question ... My Mac mini (Mid 2010) is running under 10.6.8. For practical reasons, I installed OS X 10.8.3 on an external hard drive, which allows me to start on one or the other of the two systems. Mountain Lion in the App Store offers me to update the EFI firmware (1.5) of my Mac mini. However, on the download page, the requirements are the 10.7.2 system. If I perform this update, can I boot and work normally under Snow Leopard? Thank you for your possible answers.

That update enables the internet recovery option for
Lion and Mountain Lion and also some stuff with booting
after a power interruption.  Since the machine is running 10.6.8
and ML is on an external drive, if you kept a copy of the
ML installer around you really don't have any need for
the update.  And if you don't have a copy of the ML installer,
you can always redownload it and put it away for safe keeping.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • [SOLVED] vi (vim) no longer works properly after updating the system

After updating the system with pacman -Syu vi stopped working. All syntax colors are gone, and everything is grey. When I press i to enter "insert" mode, editing is not visible. Changes are obscure and you can't tell what you are modifying.  Quitting with :q will still prompt you to use :q! to abort changes, even if no changes were visibly made.
When scrolling to the beginning or end of a file, the screen flashes with grey glitch like areas.  What happened to my vi!?!?!?!?!?
This all happened while following the beginner's guide to install arch linux.  I realized this when trying to arbitrarily read a test file I made directly after updating.
The problems continued to be visible when installing and setting up sudo (those steps are the next steps that require vi)...  I think the sudo installation worked... but my vi is horribly glitchy
    Any ideas?

Setting EDITOR does not help in every case. For instance, visudo is by default hard linked to vi. (You can change this, I know. )
But in fact, vi is only a symlink to ex. So I simply renamed this link and put another symlink to vim (vim-big in my case since I in fact do use the gvim package).
    /usr/bin/vi -> vim-big
    /usr/bin/vi-simple -> ex
The drawback is that I have to set those links on every vi-update. (But I sure will remember...)
