I tried my first Windows CD burn with iTunes; the burn fails at different points during the burn, with error codes 4450 or 4280.

I have the same problem, after years of everything working great. Last time this happened I tried using a different brand of CD and it worked, but I must warn you that now iTunes rejects all three brands I have been trying to use.

  • Burning with Itunes error - Error 2380

Well to start I am only having problems burning with itunes, Nero7, windows media player, everything but itunes burns cds like a champ... Infact I have am finishing my 160th burned CD as I write this have yet to get a single coaster. I am running my dvd/cd burner off one of my sata ports while I have 2 dvd drives off my IDE port.
Any help, comments and suggestions is appreciated.
    I have tried the following:
    1. uninstall and reinstall itunes (that was a huge mess but still no go)
    2. Blank disk in and try the CD/DVD Diagnostics (see below please)
    3. Completely remove and reinstall all 3 optical drives including the drivers.

If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.
Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard.

Just to point out the TssT is a samsung cd burner and the Lite-on is a cd/dvd burner and neither will work with itunes but i can burn on both but my preference is the lite-on burner due to its lower error rate and it has lightscribe also.

  • Burning with Itunes

When selecting a playlist, the browse button is supposed to change to the Burn button. This is not happening. Also, while playing with it, I somehow inadvertantly messed up the top display which used to show the playlists. Now I just have a list of all files in Itunes, no ability to select playlist, genres etc at the top.

I am also having trouble burning but dont know how to find an answer...When I try to burn a playlist it ejects my new c.d. and says its not blank so I insert it again and it burns all the way through until it is on the finalizing stage then I get the blue screen and my computer shuts down? I dont get it?!? This is a 2 month old laptop and I have the latest version of Itunes. I have tried different brands of c.d.'s. Can anyone help?

  • Why doesn't CD burned with iTunes open with track data in iTunes on another computer?

I brought an album of 11 original songs in cda format into iTunes - I then addeded all the data to each song - artist composer genre etc.  and burned an audio CD from the playlist.  When I play it in the car CD player it displays the song names.  When I load it back into iTunes on my computer all the data shows.  When I load it into another computer with iTunes - all it shows is the original file names ie Track01 Track02 etc.  How come?

Thing that baffles me is that the CD opensin itunes in the computer that created it displaying the full data - but shows track numbers only on another computer - when opened in itunes.
On the computer that created it, the info is stored in a file, not on the CD itself.

  • Can't play CD's I burned with iTunes

Hi guys wonder if anyone can help me - I burned a couple of CD's with iTunes to play in my car, one of them won't work at all - it just comes up error. The other one works every now and then.
I don't think it's the changer system as I can usually play CD-R's and I don't think it's the disc slot as if I swap them round they still won't play.
Is it a mistake I have made in burning them?
Any help welcome - thanks in advance xx

Could be a settings issue. Some cars do not recognize mp3 CDs, you may have made a disc full og mp3 files. Might have put AAC files onto disc, this also might not work in car.

  • Missing ID3 Tags on MP3 CD burned with iTunes

I have a Sony CD Player in my car. This Player supports mp3 CD's. To Burn such CD's with iTunes is not the Problem.
iTunes seems not to set the ID3-Tag in it's Libary. Is it possible to set the iTunes-Libary-Informations (as they are displayed on my Screen) as ID3 Tags to the Files ? Are there Risks within ?

Ooops. You just created a lot of work by erasing the tag info.
I think there are some scripts out there that can fill in ID3 tags based on file names.
This page is from an apple discussions regular poster:
    http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/scripts.asp
You could try the "TagFromFilename" script.
For future, itunes does not have the ability to update tag info like Windows Media Player does. I suppose you could see what WMP will do, before trying that script.
Since I haven't used either one to do this, I can't say how well either works.

  • Can't burn with iTunes 8.2 or 9.0-- songs sound fuzzy

Recently, when i bought my iPod Touch, I was instructed to update to iTunes 8.2; upon doing so, I found I could no longer burn CDs; the songs all sounded fuzzy. Today, I updated to iTunes 9.0, and the same thing happened: the songs all sounded fuzzy on the burned CD.
    Other things you should know:
    (1) I tried to burn a CD using Windows Media Player; those songs sound fine. Thus, I have reasonable assurance the problem is with iTunes.
    (2) For some reason, I have no problem burning CDs with my laptop (which I also updated to iTunes 8.2).
Can someone help me out with this? (And please don't say to download it again. I downloaded 8.2 twice and now 9.0 once, and nothing has improved.)
Thank you for your anticipated assistance.

Fuzz or static on iTunes-burned audio CDs can often be corrected by burning at a lower speed, such as 2x.

  • I can't play my audio cd burned with iTunes on my stereo

    Hi,
I've tried a few times now to burn an audio cd with songs purchased with iTunes, to play in my car or in my stereo, but even if I choose the "Audio CD" format, the cd won't play.
    Am i doing anything wrong?
    Thanks.

    Mtlangel,
One other thing. Certain brands can also affect your burning. The brand that is supposed to be the best is Verbatim, but others on here recommend Sony, Maxell, and a few people say Memorex are good.
Here is a question I asked on different brands of DVD's and CD's awhile ago and the response I got. Just click on the link or paste in your browser if that doesn't work.

I got two great link with information that will help you also.

  • Burning with iTunes 10?

I'm a long time iTunes user, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to burn mp3 cd's with the new iTunes 10. Can someone tell me how to do so? Is the burn option even still available with iTunes 10?

There are several posts about this, so welcome to the club!  Apple has removed that feature without an explanation.  Read more of the posts.....you're going to LOVE all ot the other problems you are about to become familiar with concerning this "update"!

  • Troubling connection with iTunes (I have to jiggle the cable), and my volume bar drops out very often.

Whenever I am syncing my iPhone 4 (with iOS 6.1.3) via cable with iTunes, I have to jiggle the cable to get it to connect with iTunes. Also, whenever I'm listening to any kind of sound, sometimes the sound just drops out and the volume bar disappears.
I asked an Apple tech in the store, and he told me to restore the phone and set up as new phone. I have done this with no success. Any suggestions

iPhone charging port is faulty or dirty. Clean charging port with clean toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.

  • Trouble again with iTunes and iTunes server

Is anyone having issues with iTunes and thier iTunes server using 10.5, I have a NAS that acts as a iTunes server and all was well prior to the 10.5 update.

Are you running any Firewalls or Anti-Virus software? If so, disable all of that stuff & try again.

  • Trouble syncing with itunes on new work computer

i have changed jobs and want to sync my iphone with itunes on my new computer but the prompt tells me it will wipe out all info on the iphone.  How do I make my new computer my primary itunes account?

    You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

  • Trouble Burning in iTunes

    Hi All:
I am having problems when burning a disc in iTunes. I get a message stating that this or a number of songs cannot be burned unless the computer is authorized thru Mac. The authorization IS turned on. The discs were imported under Apple LossLess type and I was told that this a type of write protection. hmmm.. I have burned other discs with this type of import with no problems. Also, I've tried to convert the files to AAC with no luck. It gets to the very end of the conversion process then I get an "unspecified error code -208" and the conversion quits.
Oh yes..tech support implied that we purchased the music from the iTunes store (hence the need to authorize), but these song were imported from my original disc.
I am already burning at a slow speed and have no issues with the media I am using. It works fine on the iBook.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I did notice, tho that the name and extension has the songs listed as .m4a while the kind in the play list is Apple Lossless.
Apple Lossless files have the .m4a extension.
    try this:
in finder, right-click on your iTunes music folder and +get info+. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and +apply to enclosed items+ like so
you may also give everyone read & write access. if this doesn't help, try the same on your iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music folder).
    try burning a CD again.
if you have e.g. Toast installed, you might want to give burning a CD with that app a go.

  • Error Messsage "-50" when burning with iTunes

I have a Duo Core Intel MacBook Pro and am using the latest version of iTunes. Until today I've had no difficulty burning audio CD's. Today iTunes has canceled every burn attempt due to an "unexpected error -50". I burned the playlist with Toast Titanium using the same media with no problem, ruling out a faulty optical drive or recording media. I tried quitting and restarting iTunes, but still cannot burn and audio CD.
Thanks for your kind help and/or suggestions!

May be this article can be of some help:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
    "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023"
These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:
See iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
    Mac OS X:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.

    Windows Vista:
 \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\

    Windows 7:
 \Users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\

    Windows XP:
 \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
    Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading Digital Copies using Windows:
Use MSCONFIG (directions for Windows XP and Windows Vista/Windows 7) to disable conflicting software.
If using MSCONFIG steps resolves the issue, you may want to use the System Configuration Utility to turn on the third-party System Services and Startup Items one at a time (restarting your computer after turning on the item or items) to identify which System Service or Startup Item is causing the conflict.
You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to reoccur.
If you are able to isolate the issue to a particular third-party software, you may wish to contact them to let them know of the conflict.
