Phone calls and txt msgs dont go through at times

my phone calls and text messages dont go through and i dont receive them at times, why?? I have to turn off my phone and turn it back on for it to work... is there something wrong w/ the phone or is it AT&T connection?

Went snorkeling... phone was dried, disassembled and still gets calls and txts but screen does not turn on... HELP??

So my phone was my snorkeling buddy last week for a few minutes... I wasn't out in the water for longer than like 5ish minutes. It is a Verizon 32gb iPhone 4. I've had a few problems with it before as the previous owner dropped it in some water which has not only fried both the wifi and bluetooth, but also caused the home button to work sporadically and the LED flash to stay on like a 1/3 of its power 24/7 even if the phone dies...
Anyways,
about half an hour later of discovering 4 ft of water the phone was stuck in white rice (had to go on a rice hunt) and dried for several hours before I soaked and drowned it again in fresh water to try to get the salt out... One omen that I saw was that the eternal flashlight was finally, off.. after this, I stuck it back in rice for another day and a half and then stuck it on my ihome... the apple icon flickered and then went away. I plugged it in a few more times and finally got to the lock screen and started to hear txts and alerts come in. however, the screen was unresponsive and i couldn't unlock it. not sure if it was just me but each time i plugged it in to try to get to the lock screen, the screen itself went from ok condition to having dark streaks diagonally across the screen. After this I stuck it back in the bag of rice before finishing off by letting it sit in the hot desert sun for a few hours..
Several days after this the phone was taken apart and there appeared to be little to no moisture. however, there was some rust. a newer battery was popped in and the phone itself was able to receive txts and calls (you can call it and swipe the bottom of the black screen to answer and talk through it).
is there anything i can do to fix the black screen or am I doomed to get another phone and loose all my pics and videos?????????? as i haven't backed up the media...

Apple won't touch it. It was opened by an unauthorized party. It is not eligible for an out of warranty replacement. Your only option is to buy a new phone.
Apple does not sell iPhone parts at all. If you want to take your chances with a 3rd party repair service or try to fix it yourself, the only parts available are counterfeit parts, stolen parts, or salvaged parts.

New iphone and not receiving some calls and txt's....Y???

I just got the phone yesterday and they put a new sim in the phone. Immediately began to work and used it for most of the day with no problem. Then around 5 started not receiving texts back from people and also not receiving phone calls. Now the texts come in very late. Anywhere from 10-30 minutes after they have been sent and the phone calls are heading straight to my voicemail and not even ringing. I need help! Is this a hardware problem on the phone? Sim problem with ATT? HELP!!! Thank You!

You'll need to contact ATT about this. They handle the voice and text portion of the phone.

So, let me see if I am getting this correct. I understand we are having a little language issue here as well, but you purchased a phone, sent it to Brazil and it will not work there. Where did you purchase the phone? Was it locked or unlocked? If locked, how did you get it unlocked? What is the exact error message the user is seeing on the screen when they try and use it?
I'm sorry, but your use of the word found is what got all of us to say what we did earlier. When you say found does that mean that you located a phone to purchase? If you answer where you purchased it, it should help.

i bought the phone from someone who lives in my village, there is no error code, when apple did a diagnostic on the phone they said it was running perfect. when you say carrier locked what exactly do you mean as i put a brand new orange sim in the phone and everything seems fine but the sim dosnt seem to activate so i tried it in my unlocked 4s and i got missed calls and txt's that id sent to it while it was in the 4, when i try ring it in the 4 it says sorry calls are currently not being connected to this number then goes to orange answerphone

Several people I can call and txt them. It they can not call or text me, why?

Seeing as how anything to do with an account is based on your carrier not the iPhone, not sure how we can help. Since you didn't buy from an authorized dealer for your carrier I can only assume it isn't setup correctly and why they refuse to help you. Maybe do things the proper way next time is the help we can give.

Restore the phone as New, and do not reload your backup. If you still have a problem with it you have a hardware problem.

Blackberry wont send/recieve calls and texts. Net apps and BBM working fine. Not battery, signal or credit problem.

Have had this phone a couple of weeks. It was working fine until yesterday, now suddently when I attemp to call it says 'failed' and when i send tects they do not send. It wont recieve calls and tects from people who have tried in the same room.
I have this sim card years and have never had a problem before.
Untill yesterday I could call, text and recieve both just fine.
My BBM, app world and internet are working.
It is not a battery problem, it is charged.
It is not a credit problem, i have both free and actual credit.
it is not signal problem, the phone shows high signal, and other people on same network are working fine.
I have looked up simular problems, and attempted the solutions. Taking the battery out and resarting the phone does not change it, regestering the phone and sending service books did not fix the problem.
I have Blackberry Curve 8520, on Tesco pay as you go.
Any solutions? Please include instructions - i do not know how to find out what OS i am running, so if this is part of the solution please advise.

Phone, SMS and MMS are all services supported by your wireless provider. Considering all of these features are not working, I would recommend contacting them to find out if there is a problem with your account or their services. BlackBerry features, such as BBM, BlackBerry App World, etc all use the BlackBerry network and thats why they are still working.

You ARE roaming. You turned off your data, but you are still roaming when making calls, and texting. If you blocked all roaming then you wouldn't be able to make calls/text or receive calls/text.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your new iPhone. We want you to be able to enjoy your device. Are you having any issues with text or data on the device? Is the device showing signal bars? Have you been able to use th device at all since your received it?
