Trouble Combining 2 QT Movies Into One

Help! I have QT Pro but this is driving me nuts! I am using select all, copy and then paste to combine 2 separate 20 second QT movies into one 40 second consolidated movie. The trouble is that when the play head reaches the beginning of the second movie, it continues to advance, but the sound and motion simply stop at the end of Move 1 and beginning of Movie 2.
I think it may have something to do with the little tabs that slide back and forth for include, exclude but I'm not sure. Also, when I select all and then try to use the "Copy" command, its grayed out. I have to click on either one of the first or second movies before "Copy" becomes available to me. Something is going on but I can't figure it out, despite several hours of "playing with it", checking the forums here and calling Tech Support at Apple.
Yikes! has anybody else run into this before?

By the way, I think I got 2 of these cotton picken files to join together seamlesy last night. I need to kind of confirm that and (if I can double check and then replicate my success) will explain how.Would be interested in seeing the result. Streamclip should provide best results for two reasons -- 1) it allows "near" (if not frame-level) setting of in/out points (unlike QT which only operates at specific GOP intervals of MPEG-1/2 content and 2) it allows you to "fix" timecode breaks that can wreak havoc in QT playback.
Normal procedure would be:
1) Load, trim file segments if needed, and re-save raw files using the "Save as..." option in case of "accidents" later (I usually name the files so they appear in the order I wish to merge them) Don't have to do this but I tend to be "accident" prone
2) Use the "Open Files..." option to navigate to your "safe" files and load them as a group to Streamclip work area
3) Use "Fix timecode breaks" option (Command-F) to remove any possible timecode breaks between/within segments
4) Use "Save As..." option again to save the "merged" data file
You mentioned an interest in old TV shows, my favorite is Bonanza.My "biggie" is the original Doctor Who series. However, am also collecting the old Supeman (George Reeves) shows, The Avengers, Space Patrol, Commando Cody, Tom Corbett, as well as, things like the old Flash Gordon serials and SciFi "B" classic movies from the 50's and 60's. Combine 2 iMovie projects into one movie

I was able to combine both movies into one iMovie, after lots of hard drive clearing! I also had a problem with QT export quality, but remembered to export in "expert setting" as a DV stream, which worked well.
Follow up questions:
1. In QuickTime, is the "Expert Setting" / DV Stream output better, worse or the same as "Full Quality" export setting? I might be going through unnecessary pains to wait ou thte Expert Setting when Full Quality could be just as good and take less time, I'm not sure.
2. My movie is long - I know that DVDs hold 120 minutes of footage, not counting the themes. I think my movie, without themes, is about 2 hours long (it's a documentary). I'd also like to include some supplemental footage that will easily cover 1 additional hour. I believe the next step is to burn the final movie onto 2 DVD discs, if not 3. Once I create chapter markers in iMovie and begin burning, will the system ask for an additional DVD or do I need to figure out how to divide this up ahead of time?

no, iDVD isn't that clever (hey, suggestion to programmers!)
you have to split your iM project into 2/3 parts manually ...
if enough disk space is avail, you can simply select a few clips (=half/third of project) and choose 'selected clips only' in the Export dialog to create the 'parts'; drag that export into yoir iDVD project. when the disk is finished, you can erase the export-file, choose the next clips... repeat.

Thanks for your reply, Klaus. I'm just now getting to try your suggestion to copy and paste from timeline rather than drag and drop from clipviewer. Alas, it seems to be choking terribly on the transfer. This video is not a 60 minute movie, either; it's about ten minutes. I has about 60 files to it. I did get to the point where I felt confident enough to empty the trash and save the project, so I assume the clips that are there are not still "attached" to the unedited dvs.
Earlier I tried to export, in the advanced settings, to the full quality dv, but the quality really dropped, way too much for the intended use. I'm pretty much stumped at this point, unless I can hear some other suggestions.
What I might try doing is simply dragging and dropping all the packet contents of the media folder into the other movie's media folder, but then I suspect I'll have to rebuild the darn thing from bits and pieces and it may be like putting Humpty Dumpty back together again...ugh.
I'm sure I'm not the first person to face this challenge, am I? Of course, my lesson learned is to build one dvd's contents in one imovie project. If it weren't for the fact that I need to offer viewers the option to "play movie" (play all the videos as one movie) I'd simply drag each movie into iDVD and do it that way (the dvd showing each video separately).
Would still love to hear of other possible solutions here, before trying some other forum.

Combining several iMovie projects into one, time-not space-being the factor

Hello,
Space is not an issue (large external drive), but I'm trying to figure out the fastest way to combine several iMovie projects into one (so each movie will become a chapter in iDVD). I'm pretty sure there must be a better way than I'm attempting, selecting all the clips in clipviewer, then dragging and dropping to the new project clipviewer. As I've done this, the "time remaining" window keeps growing (started out about 4 minutes, climbed to "92 minutes remaining," then I aborted the move). Details: each movie is about 8-10 minutes long, widescreen, made up of various (sometimes many) dv clips, audio segments, still photos, etc.
I have added dv clips to a project via the media folder (project unopened), but this was a single item and simple to move from trash into the project. In this case, I'm not sure what to move in order to save the entire project intact.

How do I combine all my calendars into one and delete the others?

I have a work computer, a home desktop, and Apple air laptop and an 1phone 4s.
I use Outlook calendar for all my appointments and only need one calendar.
When I get notifications of my upcoming events on the Oulook page and on my iphone, I get multiple notifications, sometimes as many as 6 times.

Your old account is the one you migrated, but it has been renamed because the new account had the same name. "Fixing" this is a bit complicated. It is possible to transfer data from one account to the other. See Transferring files from one User Account to another.
A cleaner solution is to do this:
Create a temporary new admin user account with a completely different username.
Log into this new account.
Delete the new account you created before migrating.
Delete the old account you migrated that has the changed name.
Re-migrate your old account from the Mini.
Log into the newly migrated account and delete the temporary account.
And, the simplest solution is to use the migrated account as-is and delete the account you originally made on the new computer.

Krisztian's solution will work/merge only for Adobe forms created in T.code SFP but can't merge with the pdf document which is sitting in CV02N (This doesn't have Adobe form name in T.code SFP), this is what I understood.
And one more bad news is we are not able to install that unix file in our client system, it is not compatable.

How do I combine two slide shows into one?

I need to combine two slide shows into one and put the whole thing into a loop for a Kiosque. Can someone help?

Drag and drop the slides from the Thumbnail viewer (left side of the window) from one Keynote to the other. They should copy with all the Actions and Transitions still in place. Then go to Inspector>Document Tab and check the box that says to Loop slideshow.
