Trouble connecting back to the internet!

To help someone understand how I had my internet set up to work I will be listing lots of details. (Note: Main computer has not lost its connection, but all the game systems and the other two computers lost its connection and will not connect back).
Main computer:
1. Has a Motorola SB5100 Surfboard Cable Modem connected to it.
2. It also has a Wireless-G Broadband Router Model WRT54G connected to it.
My Room:
1. The computer in my room has a Wireless-G USB Network Adapter Model WUSB54 Ver. 4 connected to it.
2. The Xbox 360 in my room has a Wireless-G Game Adapter Model WGA54 Ver. 2 connected to it.
3. Also in my room are the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii, but those are Wi-fi so I guess I'll fix that later.
My Brother's Room:
1. The computer in this room also has a Wireless-G USB Network Adapter Model WUSB54G Ver. 4 connected to it.
2. His Xbox has a Wireless-G Broadband Router Model WRT54GS Ver. 7.2 connected to it, which is also connected to his computer making it a shared connection.
All these connections worked until yesterday. Me and my brother could not join each others games by using xbox live. I tried to fix the connection problem between my Xbox and his, and by doing so I screwed up the whole internet connection except for the main computer.
So my question is how can I get everything back to normal, I've been trying to fix it all day and it won't work? Also, I have an extra Wireless-G Broadband Router Model WRT54G Ver. 5 that is not in use.

Update:
I was able to fix everything except for the connection of the game systems in my room. I also took off the router in my brothers room and just connected the 360 directly from the system to the computer. I cannot connect my 360 to the internet at all, so how will I be able to resolve this?

  • TS3297 Having trouble connecting iTunes to the internet

    After two days of troubleshooting and following every relevant article in the iTunes support forum, I still cannot get the newest version of iTunes to connect to the internet.  All other internet-abled devices on my network can connect so it's not the network, just iTunes on this machine.  Have run diagnostic test after diagnostic test, reset firewall permsisions and flushed the DNS.  I am so frustrated!  Any guidance would be welcome.

    My guess is that there is a firewall configured in the router.  When that happens, the results are weird.  Laptops ar not affected but iPads are.  You need administrative access to the router.  Look for presence of a firewall.  If one is there, turn it off and test.  If that cures the problem, turn the firewall back on but weaken it a notch and test again.  You want the firewall to be as strong as possible without blocking iPad web access.

  • My Safari Icon ( Button) is missing in my iMac after I downloaded a update. How can I get the icon back on my desktop and connecting again to the Internet ?...

    My Safari Icon ( Button) is missing on my iMac after I downloaded a update. How can I get the icon  (Button Safari) back on my desktop and connecting again to the Internet ?...
    Thanks for the help

    Often when people think they've deleted an application, what's really happened is that they deleted its icon from the Dock. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Applications
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A to open the Applications folder. If the application is in that folder, drag it to the Dock (not to the Desktop or anywhere else.) The other Dock icons will move out of the way to make a place for it.

  • Connecting out to the Internet using Sockets

    Hi,
    My project is an Internet Connection Sharing project where a no of clients try to access the Internet through a single connection (d main server). I've got a basic Java Browser that simply sends on the URL address ("www.java.sun.com") typed into a textfield by the user to a Server when a button is clicked. This is done thru basic read & write methods using an ObjectInput & ObjectOutputStreams. I've also created a socket connection out to the Internet by passing in the URL on port 80, thus establishing a connection... here's the code:
    inet_SockCon = new Socket( InetAddress.getByName( str_Buffer ), 80 );
    System.out.println( "Connected to: " +
    inet_SockCon.getInetAddress().getHostName() );
    The next step is trying to get the URL page requested back to the server and from there to the client browser where it will be displayed. I'm using a JEditorPane() on my Browser which formats the HTML data. If anyone has any ideas as to how i can do this it would be gratefully appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Use a HttpURLConnection.

  • N85- keeps connecting itself to the Internet

    Hello!
    My phone (N85) keeps connecting itself to the internet every minute or so.
    This is driving me crazy cause I don't have a data plan.
    So I had to check my phone every minute and disconnected the Internet.
    Now I'm back home and it keeps connecting itself to WLAN.
    What should I do?!
    'Thanks in advance! :'(
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Actually, if you just remove the mobile network access point your phone will only be able to connect to WLAN and so no connection when out of range from your network at home.
    First select the offline profile, then delete the mobile data access point in Tools > Settings > Connection > Destinations
    Click on the blue Star Icon below if my advice has helped you or press the 'Accept As Solution' link if I solved your problem..

  • IMac Intel Core Duo no longer connects automatically to the internet

    Since the OS 10.4.8 update my iMac will not connect automatically to the internet. It does show that it is hooked to my "preferred" network which is an Airport network but it will not connect to the internet. There are listed solutions but none of them work on my machine and there are others with the same problem. My daughter's iMac Core 2 Duo works just fine as well as my G4 iBook. I've removed all the listed networks from my list and added back the one I want, doesn't work. I made sure that Airport is at the top of the networks to try to hook to, no go. I'm starting this new post because the old one is marked "solved" which it clearly is not. Thanks in advance for any new ideas (actually I'm hoping Apple realizes this is still an issue).

    ive been having problems with my inet. heres what will sometimes work but sometimes not, i wish i could offer a more solid workaround but i think it must come from the experts at apple in the form of a patch or similar software remedy.
    when your inet acts up try this: unplug the power from your modem(i got an actiontec dsl with the lil antenna on back gt701-wg) i leave mine off for 1 minute minimum but that maybe overkill. i turn off my airport then shut down my apple 24". let it stay of a minute too to be on the safe side. i power my modem up and power the computer up. let the lights stop flashing on the modem plug in an ethernet cable from modem to comp and open safari. you may or may not get connected but wait until it either connects or gives you the cannot connect to inet. close safari unplug the ethernet cable. open your airport then wait till you see the black rainbows bars appear in the lil icon. open safari now and it should work. be warned this does not always work consistantly and it might open pages very slowly however it may give you download speeds of up to 700+kbps depending on the site and file size. i just did this to mine 20 minutes ago and it has been working perfectly again(knock on wood) opens pages fast and 5 bars on the rainbow scale without dropping off still. im not saying this is an answer but i hope it helps until a true fix is available. please dont be upset if it sometimes doesnt work because it happens to me like that too. i wish you the luck i had on mine today. happy early tday

  • I am having trouble connecting to my wireless internet. I keep getting message that my network configuration settings have changed. Ive been advised that i need to change settings to look for dynamic ip address ?

    I am having trouble connecting to my wireless internet and am getting the message that my network configuration settings have changed. I have reported it to my provider who advised that they think the Mac is looking for a fixed IP address and they use dynamic addresses. I have had the Mac for months and have not had this problem before. I would appreciate any help please on how to fix this ?

    Then I get a separate pop up that says: Secure Connection Failed. aus3.mozilla:443 uses an invalid security certificate.
    The certificate is only valid for the following names: securelogin.arubanetworks.com, www.securelogin.arubanetworks.com
    (Error code: ssl_error_cert_domain)
    This could be a problem with the server's configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
    If you have connected to this server successfully in the past the error may be temporary and you can try again later.
    I have tried many many times!

  • Trouble connecting to my wireless internet

    Hello,
    I'm having trouble connecting to my wireless internet. We have a linksys wireless router, and I know the MAC filter is turned on, so I've added my computer to the router, and I've put the password in correctly, but it keeps saying there is an error connecting to the network. All my other roommates have PC's, this shouldn't be a problem? My Mac should have no problem connecting to this modem, right?
    Thanks

    Hello jennhie,
    You can download the firmware at your router manufacturer's homepage. Look for download>firmware
    If you are not familiar with the process, download the manual as well. It will be very helpful in the update process.
    Hope this will help
    Good luck

  • Connect Macbook to the Internet (VPN) through PC

    I got a PC with 2 network cards and a Macbook.
    On a PC I got VPN connection to my provider.
    How can I connect Macbook to the internet through that PC + safely sharing my PC's contents only to my Macbook.

    I did all that. My question concerns more the software than the hardware. I already said that I have 2 newtork cards in a PC desktop and one in macbook. I got cables. I plugged everything in.
    The problem is that the preparation work is described in so many details but the crucial program work is very unclear in the majority of web sites I googled. I need this part.

  • How to return jolt connection back to the joltpool?

    hi
    I used following codes to get joltconnection pool:

         DataSet request = new DataSet(requestString.length()*2);
         request.setValue("STRING", requestString);
         Result result = sessionPool.call(serviceName, request, null);
         return (String) result.getValue("STRING", null);
    my question is : how to return jolt connection back to the joltpool? do I need
    to do that?
    when I used jdbc connection pool, I used conn.close() to return

    jdbc connection?

    Hi,
    The below is the simple source code using Pool which it is extracted from
    BEA's support web site.
    and it is helpful.
    The Pool doesn't need to return jolt connection back to the joltpool.
    because it is done by Pool Manager automatically.
    import bea.jolt.*;
    import bea.jolt.pool.*;
    public class Pho2 {
    public static void main(String argv[])
    try
    String[] adresses = new String[1];
    adresses[0] = "//aglaia:7040";
    // creation du manager et du pool par defaut
    SessionPoolManager sessionPoolManager = new SessionPoolManager();
    int i = sessionPoolManager.createSessionPool(adresses, null, 1, 3, new
    UserInfo(), null);
    SessionPool sessionPool = sessionPoolManager.getSessionPool(null);
    DataSet dataset = new DataSet();
    Result result=null;
    dataset.setValue("rhaine","coucou");
    try
    result = sessionPool.call("TOUPPER", dataset, null);
    catch(Exception Ex)
    System.out.println("session");
    Ex.printStackTrace();
    System.out.println("dataset="+dataset);
    System.out.println("result ="+result);
    System.out.println("ApplicationCode="+(new
    Integer(result.getApplicationCode())).toString());
    catch(Exception Ex)
    System.out.println(Ex.getMessage());
    Hope this helps.
