Trouble connecting C4795 printer wirelessly

Ok, so here it what I have:
Photosmart C4795 printer
Mac Mini w/ OS X 10.9.5
Cisco DPC3825 router
I have tried everything under the sun to connect this printer wirelessly to my computer to no avail. I have searched the internet high and low for a solution, but have found nothing. Please help me with this issue.

I understand that you are experiencing issues when trying to configure your HP Photosmart C4795 All-in-One Printer for wireless printing with your Mac OS X 10.9.5 computer. I would like to work with you today with resolving this network connectivity issue. Now, just so you are aware, HP actually doesn't have a downloadable Full Feature Software and Driver package available for your model of printer on the Mac OS X 10.9 Operating System due to the age of your printer. Therefore, we will be relying on your Apple Updates to load all the software and drivers onto your Mac computer for you printer. Also, because there is no HP downloadable Full Feature Software and Drivers there is no wireless setup for your Mac computer. Therefore, you have two options:
Option 1: Use a supported Operating System to configure the wireless on your printer. Once the wireless is configured on your printer than you simply add (+) your wireless bonjour printer into your Mac OS X 10.9 computer.
Supported Operating Systems include:
Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X 10.6, and Mac OS X 10.7
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1
Option 2: Run the Push Button or Pin methods of configuring wireless. These options will only work if your router has this capability.
How to Configure Wireless with Push Button Method:
1. On the control panel Home screen, touch the button next to Scan.
2. Touch the button next to Wireless Menu
3. Touch the button next to WPS.
4. Touch the button next to Push Button. The printer begins a timer that lasts approximately two minutes to allow time to press the WPS button on the router.
5. Press the WPS button on the router. The printer connects to the network.
6. Touch OK on the printer control panel.
How to Configure Wireless with Pin Method:
1. On the control panel Home screen, touch the button next to Scan.
2. Touch the button next to Wireless Menu.
3. Touch the button next to WPS.
4. Touch the button next to PIN. The PIN displays on the control panel. The printer begins a timer that lasts approximately two minutes to allow time to enter the WPS PIN.
5. Enter the PIN on the router.
6. Touch Start. The printer displays a PIN.
7. Touch OK on the printer control panel.
Once the printer and router are connected, by either the Push Button or Pin Methods, than you simply add (+) your wireless bonjour printer into your Mac.
How to Install the software
Click the Apple menu (), and then click System Preferences. The System Preferences window opens.
Click Print & Scan. The Print & Scan window opens.
Click the plus sign (). The name of your printer displays.
Click Add Printer or Scanner.
Select your printer, and then click Add.
Click Install, and then click Agree on the software license agreement window to install the software and add the printer to the queue.
After the installation process completes, verify that your printer displays in the queue.

This could be a problem with the server's configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
If you have connected to this server successfully in the past the error may be temporary and you can try again later.

I'm having trouble connecting to my wireless internet. We have a linksys wireless router, and I know the MAC filter is turned on, so I've added my computer to the router, and I've put the password in correctly, but it keeps saying there is an error connecting to the network. All my other roommates have PC's, this shouldn't be a problem? My Mac should have no problem connecting to this modem, right?

You can download the firmware at your router manufacturer's homepage. Look for download>firmware
If you are not familiar with the process, download the manual as well. It will be very helpful in the update process.

Does anyone have trouble connecting to their wireless network, after being logged on for some time? Mountain Lion.

I am having trouble connecting to my wireless network. It works when I startup my computer but, after a while it can't seem to find the wireless network. I have an Airport Extreme and the light is green. The only way to remedy this problem is to restart my computer. Mountain Lion isn't that great after all not to mention it distorts some images when scrolling. I am kindly asking for some advice, I assume a major update will be coming soon.

You don't by chance have a "invisible" or "hidden" network enabled on the router?
Because Mac's won't reconnect automatically now to hidden network only upon reboots, it's sort of like advertising the hidden network if you take the computer elsewhere.
Also hidden networks are no deterrent to hackers, they see all.
Also check your time and date, make sure they accurate first, then save that, then make sure it's updated via Apple time servers in your general location (System Preferences > Time and Date) If your being kicked off, your DCHP lease might be expiring too early.

I can't connect or print wireless

I have the hp photosmart c4780 and I used the USB wire to connect it to my computer after installing the software off the internet as I lost the software it originally came with. So with that being said, on my little Eee asus netbook windows 7 I can print with the printer when it's connected via USB only! Also I use my printer mainly for printing coupons or documents, and if anyone's familiar with <a href="http://www.coupons.com" target="_blank">www.coupons.com</a> then you'll know they have an app for most all tablets and smart phones and so I downloaded it on both my ipad 2nd generation and my iPad mini, and I was able to print coupons wirelessly via the coupons app only, not via the <a href="http://www.coupons.com" target="_blank">www.coupons.com</a> through my safari browser. So I'm just not sure why I can't get it to connect wirelessly, when I went through the installation and set up process I went through the option of switching to wireless rather than USB and I thought it went smoothly but any other way I try to print from my computers or iPads it will say that the printer isn't discovered. I've also made an account with th hp connect, I've got the eprint hp app on both iPads and I'm having no luck! Also, my printer is just now I'm noticing also, offline i dont know how that happened, but when I printed the wireless network test report along the top it's saying that " MAC ADDRESS FILTERING MAY BE ENABLED ON YOUR WIRELESS ROUTER, THIS CANT PREVENT YOUR PRINTER FRIM CONNECTING TO YOUR WIRELESS NETOWRK DURING SETUP. IF YOU DO HAVE MAC ADDRESS FILTERING ENABLED AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT ENABLED YOU MUST ADD THE MAC ADDRESS OF YOUR PRINTER TO THE LIST OF PERMITTED DECICES FOR YOUR WIRELESS ROUTER BEFORE CONTINUING. THE MAC ADDRESS FOR YOUR PRINTER CAN BE FOUND ON THIS TEST REPORT.***" And I can see below on the print out where my MAC address is, however this isn't helpful because I don't know what MAC address filtering means nor if it's bad or good, or how I can change it accordingly. And in the diagnostics summary below it says NO FILTERING: FAIL I'm unsure as to what that means? So if anyone can help me I'd so greatly appreciate it, I also tried to find that claim code that I was supposed to be able to find when i do the print out on my printer and I can't see it on the test report or the configuration page. So, so far I've just reset the printer itself to default settings. And from here...well...as you can see.. I NEED HELP!?!? Please and thank you!

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I think that the root issue you are experiencing is the printer is not connected to your wireless network, and as a result you are running into several issues.
wikiHow’s How to Find the MAC Address of Your Computer has a nice and non-techie description of what a MAC address is and how to find it. By turning on the MAC filtering for your router, is a way of telling your router that only the devices with an approved MAC address will be allowed to connect to your network.
Most customers with home wireless networks don’t use this feature, as it can take more time to maintain than a person would like to give. It requires that you add/maintain the MAC address of any device that will be connecting your to network, including, but not limited to, iPads, tablets, Smartphones, iPhones, computers, laptops, etc.
Please start by turning the router off. If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please disconnect the power cord. After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn the power back on (or plug the power cord back in). Hopefully the network test report will give us a pass on No Filtering.
If MAC filtering is turned on (I suspect it is on) and you don’t want to use this feature, please contact the manufacturer of your router on how to turn this off. I do think this is the root of your connectivity issues.
Once you have confirmed that MAC filtering is off we should be able to get everything working wirelessly by following the information below.
Let’s start with your Windows 7 laptop. I’ve included the How Do I Find the Best Windows 7 or Windows 8 Driver for My Printer? document. It will walk you through downloading HP’s Printer Install Wizard. This will also help you connect the printer to your wireless network while ensuring you have the right driver for your printer.
Once you’re printing from your laptop wirelessly, please try test printing something from the notes app on your iPad. If your router supports Bonjour, the communication method for Apple’s AirPrint feature, you should have no problems printing. If you are unsure, I have included a post by Shirlzz1 that will walk you through downloading an app to check.
As for printing from coupons.com using the Safari browser on your iPad it comes down that the iPad is considered a mobile device requiring the app as an interface.
I think I’ve addressed everything that is plaguing you. If I haven’t please let me know. In addition, if anything goes askew while doing the above, please let me know at which step things went wonky and the contents of any error messages and where they were displayed.

Trouble connecting laptop to wireless

I have a wag54gs installed and a wireless adaptor on main pc. Had trouble with security and could only use laptop wireless with security dissabled. Ive had some help regarding security its all set up again and wireless is working on main pc. Laptop however wont connect now on wireless, says aquiring address or limited /no connectivity but works fine if i attach the ethernet cable and use security. Tried checking setting are the same but must be missing something., probably something simple. Any help would be appreciate.

I am having trouble connecting my IPad1 to Belkin Wireless Router. It was working fine until a couple of days ago. I can use my IMAC okay via wireless. I can see my network on the IPad, but message comes up "unable to join the network XXXX". I have read the Apple recent release to fix this problem...still no luck. Can anyone please help?

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

Trouble connecting multiple computers wirelessly

I have an airport extreme base station and I am having trouble connecting more than one computer wirelessly to the internet. In fact if I do get the other computer connected, it crashes the connection of my main computer that is always connected. Any help? Am I explaining this clearly enough?

Can you tell us what happens if you turn wireless off on the computers and temporarily connect both of them to the AirPort Extreme using ethernet? Same problem?

Unable to connect to printer wirelessly

I have an Hp Officejet 7612
My computer is running Windows 7 64-bit with Service Pack 1
I am not able to connect to my printer wirelessly.
When trying to add printer, after selecting "Add network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer", my computer is not able to see printer while serching. I try to add printer manually by typing in IP address or hostname (either one), an error message occurs.
Printer wifi is on and connected to the same network as the computer.
I have restored network settings to default in order to try and fix issue.
I've tried this on a number of other computers, some running Windows 8.
I have disabled computer firewalls and computers still can't find printer.
It is as if the printer is...invisible!

I understand you have your printer and computer connected to the same network and you are unable to connect your computer to your printer.
You say you are trying to add a printer, but have you installed the printer using the device driver CD or online driver download tool ? If you haven't you need to do so and you won't have to add a printer because that is all done in the installation.
If you need the instructions on how to do so, let me know and I'll be more than happy to show you how to do download it.

Cannot connect and print wirelessly - HP Deskjet 3520

Hey there,
I have a HP Deskjet 3520. It was working without a problem for a while. However after moving house and resetting everything I cannot print wirelessly with this printer.
It is connected to a network and the blue light is permanent, but when I try to print or scan wirelessly it says the printer is not detected/connected.
I've tried to connect using every method available i've seen every video and i've read every blog post. Please can you offer some help before a HP device is mentioned on the news for seriously injuring a passer by after being thrown out of a window?

Trouble connecting to home wireless router

I'm using a Belkin wireless router with security mode of WPA/WPA2-Personal (PSK).
My iPod touch 2G used to be able to connect to the wireless network, but it can't now. It gives me incorrect password message. Only thing I've done is update the software to 3.0.

thank you SOOO much!!! I had been struggling for a couple of hours and this solved it all in under five minutes. it seems to be when you change from WEP (my old router) to WPA2 (new router) and not just 3.0. I have a Touch with 2.0 and it was the same story. thanks again!

Trouble Connecting My Printer...

Hello everyone. I have been using my Mac mini for a good three weeks now, and am enjoying it. I just need to learn how to print wirelessly from my Mac, to my Lexmark Optra Ep printer that is hooked up to my downstairs PC. It is not USB. Sorry for the lack of technical terminology, but it is one of those "old-school" printers that plug into those big ports on the back of your PC.
The printer is completely networked: so I can print to there, from any Windows desktop or laptop PC in the house.
I've been through the manual for the Mac mini, but that wasn't too helpful.
The Mac mini can't seem to detect my printer. I'm not even sure if it is fully supported. Please help.

System Preferences > Printing. Click the + button on the left side of the Printing prefs pane.
This will call up the printer browser, where you can enter the location, IP address, etc.
Lexmark drivers are included in the default installation of Mac OS X. I have no idea if they include a driver for your model, but it should be on Lexmark's site if not.

Having trouble connecting to my wireless network

Hi everyone, my iPad gen 3 can not connect to my wireless network. I have to unplug my router, and repower for it to connect. Even going into settings on the iPad, and putting in the password for the wireless connection, the iPad gives me an error message that the password is incorrect. I was thinking of updating to a new router. My current router is about 3 years old. I am also running Network Magic from Cisco. Can anyone give me any ideas for a solution to this problem? Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I am trying to connect a new Mac with OSX 10.9.5 to an HP Photosmart Premium c410, which is on an existing home wireless network and functions properly with other (Windows) computers in the house. I am following online instructions to enter the Apple System Preferences>Printers and Scanners>+ menu in order to add the printer, but the printer is not visible. If I use the "print sheet," the HP printer shows as a grayed out option and a message that the printer has been offline for more than a month. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
