Trouble connecting iPad to my PC

When I connect my iPad to my PC I hear the device connect/disconnect sound several times before it finally remains disconnected and I get an error message telling me what Windows does not recognize the device. It did not do this last week…

This is the support article from Apple for and iOS device not being recognized in iTunes for Windows.

  • Trouble connecting ipad to hotspot

We have been using an iphone 4 as a hotspot for our laptop when we're away from home with no problem.   We tried to connect an ipad and had no luck.  The iphone showed up as an available network, but when we tapped to seclect it, the little circle just kept spinning and the password blank never showed up.  We checked settings, turned both devices off and on, allowed it plenty of time but still nothing.  We tried about 10 times in different places in the room and made sure the signal was good.  The iphone shows '1 connection' while all this is going on even though the ipad has not completed the connection.  Any ideas?

  • Trouble connecting iPad to Internet

I can connect fine to my wireless network with my iPad, but I can't get out to the internet.  All of my other devices in the house are getting out fine (Mac, iPhones, Windows PCs, Apple TV).  The problem is recent with the iPad (last two weeks).  I've tried forgetting the network, re-establishing the network, resetting the network connection.  Not sure why the iPad is the only device that can't get to the internet.  My ISP is through comcast cable.  What else can I try?

When you input your password, what did you use?  If you haven't yet, provide the encryption code from your router.  The encryption code is usually a 10 - 13 digit code, which is often comprised of letters and numbers.  Try it and let me know if that solves your connection issue.

  • Trouble Connecting iPad and iPhone to Exchange Server 2010

    Exchange Server 2010.
I have found some online instructions for connecting iPhones and iPods (or iPads) to Exchange Server 2010 using activesync.  I enter all the information as I understand it (the same info used to successful connect Droids), and I do not get an error
until I try to sync (retrieve mail) the first time.  Then it says, "The connection to the server failed."
In the instructions I follwed it has this statement, "Before we get started, please be sure your administartor has purchased you an Activesync license and assigned to
your email address."  What the heck does this mean and how can I accomplish it?  I know activesync is working.  So why do I need a "license"?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Trouble connecting Ipad to sky email

    Hi,
I have been trying to connect my ipad to my sky email account, and have followed all the instructions in entering the correct settings on my ipad and enabled IMAP but my ipad will still not connect to my sky emails. When I try and connect a notification says the password or username is incorrect, i have changed the password and checked the username a number of times but my ipad will still not recognise it. If any one is having any similar problems or knows of a way to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If IMAP for your Sky is still not working correctly, then setup a new email account under Settings > Mail,.... > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange.
    Then enter the following
    Email: your Sky email address
    Domain: Leave blank
    Username: your Sky email address
Password: your Sky email account password
Description: Up to you what you enter here.
    Click Next
    Server: m.google.com
Click Next and now you can select what services you wish to sync with your iPod.
    Mail: On
    Contacts: Up to you
    Calendars: Up to you.
You should have your Sky account running, on your iPad.
This is because Sky uses Google to provide their email hosting. Hope this helps.

I am having trouble connecting my iPad mini with my lap top that run Xp

Hi..I've had a variant of this problem; my internet was accessible but my devices on wifi could not see the PC on Lan. That meant no iTunes syncing, Airplay from iTunes etc.
Dlink has a strange default setting that isolates Wifi & Wired connections into different subnets.I'm assuming you have DHCP setup on your router and you're PC or MAC has internet access via the same router. Try the following steps to see if this solves the problem for you-
    1. Go to Setup -> Local Network  and Uncheck the box that says 'Configure the second IP Address and Subnet Mask for LAN' - Hit Apply
    2. Go to Wireless -> Wireless Basic and Uncheck 'Enable MultiAP Isolation' - Hit Apply
    3. Restart your Router
Let me know if this solves your problem. I've been frustrated by my problem for months & had nearly given up.

What TC do you have? Model number direct from the base is a big help, it will be A1 followed by 3 numbers.. eg
A1409 Gen 4.. The new AC is A1470
    How is it setup?
I need the whole network setup. what modem/router, how is the TC connected etc??
I also need to know what IP the ipod gets, so I can see what mode the TC or network router is working in.

  • My ipad is connected to my wifi, however when i try to sign my ipad into facetime is says that it is having trouble connecting. I use my wifi to get on the internet on my iPad so i have no idea what the problem is. Help Me

My ipad is connected to my wifi, however when i try to sign my ipad into facetime is says that it is having trouble connecting. I use my wifi to get on the internet on my iPad so i have no idea what the problem is. Help Me

    - Did it successfully connect to the network before?
    - Do other devices successfully connect to the network now?
    - Does you iPod successfully connect to other networks?
    - Have you reset your iPod?
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset network connections: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - Powered off and then back on your router
    - The troubleshooting here:
iPhone and iPod touch: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
-When you restored you iPod did you restore to factory defaults/new iPod?  If not try that.
    - If you look at the network properties on the iPod what IP address is assigned when you think you are connected but actually have no internet connection.  If it starts with 169 then the iPod never connected to the router, the 169 address are self assigned.

  • I have an IPAD 2 that I use to view an IP camera over a Wifi network.  The Ipad is in a vehicle that leaves the Wifi range and then returns to the range.  Upon returning to the range, the Ipad has trouble connecting to the network. (30 seconds)

I have an Ipad 2 that I use to view an IP camera over a Wifi network.  The Ipad is in a vehicle that leaves the Wifi range and then returns to the range.  Upon returning to the range, the Ipad has trouble connecting to the network. (30 seconds)  The Ipad will eventually connect to the network, but by this time the driver is frustrated.  I have moved the antenna to within 20' of where the vehicle comes to a stop.  My Iphone does not have a problem connecting or reconnecting when used side by side with the Ipad.  Both the Ipad and Iphone have Otter box covers.  Has anyone run into this problem or have any suggestions?

30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present.  Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel.  But you might not.

  • IPad trouble connecting to wi-fi network

Have 2nd generation iPad1 w/ latest iOS.  Can not recognize or connect to a local wi-fi network which my iMac (located in the same room) has no trouble connecting with.  Any ideas?

Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
