Trouble connecting iPhone to remote  IP Panasonic cameras- Ports issues

Cannot connect remotely to camera DVR with the iPhone due to Java Applet issues not supported by Apple. I also cannot connect to the home panasonic IP cameras because the error "Not allowed to use restricted network port" appears. In order to connect to the cameras remotely I must enter the port number after the local IP address, and is not allowing me to do that. Any expert out there? Example of a connecting address: http;// 95.242.228.177:80 (80 being the port).

Are you using a specific application to connect or trying to go through Safari?
You may need to use an app that connects to IP cameras.
You can search the app store and search "video camera" or "webcam"

  • Trouble connecting iPhone 6 to iPhoto 9.6

After upgrading to Yosemite OS, my iPhone 6 has trouble connecting and downloading photos to iPhoto.  When I connect the iPhone 6, it recognizes it, I then click on "Import Photos", and it begins downloading the photos, and almost immediately stops with an error message "error downloading image".
This problem was intermittent at first, for the last month or so, but I was eventually able to import.  Now it's not able to get past this message at all.
Has anyone else had this issue?

At this point, as odd as the problem started...it seems to now work fine.
As long as it's working now, that is all that matters.

  • Trouble connecting iPhone 4s to cable

    Hi everyone!
I have an iPhone 4S and I'm having trouble connecting my phone to the cable. It seems like the 30-pin dock connector is a bit overused and I have to make a big effort every time I want to connect the phone to charge or sync it. And each day it looks like it's getting worse. Should I send it to repare it or is there some way to fix it myself?
I'm looking forward to your answers. Thanks a lot.

Apple will handle this with perfect replacement iPhone 4S exactly like yours for $199. Make Genius reservation to avoid long wait time at Apple Store.

  • App World issues. "having trouble connecting to BlackBerry App world Server" and "installation issue"

Hey.... I hope this isn't just repeating the 'same old' issue, but I have read through everything I could find and I am still having no luck.
Anyways I am having a few issues.....
ONE/// When I try to go to "My World" on my Playbook it always comes up with the message:
BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World Server,  Verify your network connections and try again.
One solution I read was to connect to an alternative WiFi connection, however I haven't got any other connection I can connect to before switching back to my own.... help?!
TWO// There are also two games I have been desperately trying to install but have had no luck.  Each time all I get is the following message:
Install Error. There was a problem during Installation.  Please try again.
I have read the KB26671 file, and tried to follow the 'resolution' there but whenever I log in I never get any 'account set up process' to continue with..... let alone what the rest of the guide says to do.
THREE// Not sure why but when I try to use AppWorld on my PC it won't show me my playbook device, simply says "please connect your device".... help?  According to my playbook it is connected to computer, and my PC is picking up the Playbook as the manager always tells me it is there and lets me view the files but still AppWorld can't seem to see it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Well I was just trying to see if it was your network connection. I have found that lately anyhow, the connection to the App World hasn't been that reliable - not sure why and it's just been recently for me. But I have downloaded some pretty large files in the last few days too without issue.
Sorry, this isn't much help but if you find your network connection is becoming flaky, remove the profile and setup a new one. Sometimes I find I have to briefly shut off my internet connection on the PlayBook and then re-enable it when it's acting up. Then things are fine afterwards. A device reboot may help but it may not. I wish I could be more help but this gremlin sounds elusive.
Actually, duh, why didn't I put two and two together eariler? See if this thread is applicable to you or not: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/PlayBook-not-letting-me-update-apps/td-p/...
In short, reboot your PlayBook and try again...

  • TS2818 Having trouble connecting iphone to itunes in windows 8

Got a new computer with Windows 8, downloaded iTunes and now can't connect my iPhone to iTunes.  Any help is appreciated

    Hello Mylenium:
I did as you suggested and it worked much better.  Very smooth process.
    Thank you for your suggestion.
I do have another problem, this time with the serial number and I think I
may have to call Adobe on this one.
I purchased this license from someone on eBay.  He assured me the license
number was good.  The CD came in a case with the original serial number
printed on the cover.  When I installed CS5 on my other computer, I was
having similar troubles and spoke to one of the support people.  He gave me
another license number that worked.  I have since uninstalled CS5 and did
not deactivate the license.  Perhaps that is the problem.
    Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you again for your help.

  • Trouble connecting iPhones to home wifi network

Hi, I posted this over in the Airport discussions a few days ago and have them stumped so they recommended I bring it over here.
I'm having all sorts of trouble trying to get my iPhone and iPad to connect to my new Airport Express. I know the network I set up is working because my iMac and Appletv work fine with it, so the trouble is finding out why the others won't connect. When I select my wifi network on the phone the circle starts spinning around while it tries to connect, but it just keeps going and going and never really connects.
I have tried resetting everything, renewing leases, forgetting networks and rejoining them, changed network name and password, all with no avail.
I used to have the old AE that plugged straight into the outlet (hardly ever had problems with it either until it broke, and all devices worked fine with it) and I just bought the latest AE with the cord and dual ports. It is currently running the latest 7.6.4 but I can only downgrade to 7.6.3 which it came with.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

And after updating your firmware did you restart your router, computer, and iPhone and try again?

  • Basic question - trouble connecting iphone to macbook pro

    Hi team,
I have a fairly basic one for you all. I have recently purchased a macbook pro, previously had an ibook G4.
I am connecting my iphone to the new computer and want to sync it to this machine. It is advising that once synced, all info from the old laptop will be cleared and new info added. All music, photos etc are already on the new comp so thats ok but my concern is losing my contacts..
Can anyone tell me if this is the case? I have my iphone synced with outlook contacts and i would assume they will stay on the device but what about original phone contacts including those saved to the sim?
    Help appreciated!

Apple really should give more options in these menus. I've had some "hold your breath and click" moments when using my iPod Touch as well.

  • Trouble connecting iphone 5s to macbook pro via bluetooth

My MBP (OS 10.10) and iPhone 5S (iOS 8.0.2) (both late 2013) do not connect via bluetooth.
I want to use Handoff and file transfer between them, which is why I am trying to connect them.
    Steps taken:
    1) I pair the devices here:
    2) My phone says that they are not supported (see below)
Sometimes they connect for about 30 seconds, but then disconnect.
    What should I do?

Found a solution on this page:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and make sure Handoff is on.
Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.
Check the following settings on your Mac:
Go to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iOS device and compare the name of the network with the Wi-Fi network on your Mac.
Go to the Bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
In System Preferences > General, select “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.” If you don't see this setting, your Mac may not support Handoff.
Open the FaceTime app, go to FaceTime > Preferences and turn on “iPhone Cellular Calls.”
Go to System Preferences, and sign out and then sign in again to your iCloud account.

  • Trouble connecting IPhone to my wireless network

I have recently experienced problems connecting my Iphone to my wireless network. I have had the phone for 3 months and this problem has only come up recently. Previously I had no problems connecting, and my girlfriend's Iphone can still get onto my network. I searched everywhere for an answer but most of them involved altering the router settings and since my gf's Iphone still connects, I don't believe it has anything to do with my router and or it's settings. I have reset my Iphone network settings before to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello jesse_222,
    Welcome to the Discussions Boards.
Since your girlfriend's iPhone connects to the network OK, then it's probably not a configuration or security settings issue with your wireless network.
You mentioned you've reset network settings on the iPhone, have you also updated the iPhone to the current 2.2.1 software?
Have you actually powered the iPhone off (not just putting it to sleep) since this issue began?
Are you using any type of carrying case on the iPhone? One with a magnetic component?
Intermittent connectivity can be caused by cached data on your WiFi router or modem.
Try power cycling both your WiFi router and modem by actually removing the main power cord from both for several minutes (5 minutes will successfully reset all but the most stubborn device). Power up the modem first and wait until the LEDs are done with their startup dance. Power up the WiFi router.
If you have a VoIP modem from your cable company, it may have a backup battery inside that will prevent the modem from resetting even with main power removed. That battery is generally installed under a cover on the modem. Check with your ISP for information on removing the battery if that is the case.
Out-of-date firmware on your WiFi router can cause similar behavior. If you have a combination modem/WiFi router from your ISP, check with them for any firmware updates.
If all of the above do not resolve the issue, you may need to restore your iPhone:

  • Trouble connecting iphone 4 with home wi-fi

We are having trouble at our house connecting to a Netgear Wi-fi and our Apple products, but mostly iphone4. Anyone else with the same issue?

What you could try is unpluging the router and waiting 15secs then plug it back in and see if your devices will connect to the wifi.

  • Trouble importing photos from Panasonic camera

I'm getting error messages when attempting to transfer photos from my Panasonic camera to my Mac. Details:
    * Running Lion 10.7.4 on MacBook Pro
    * iPhoto '09 version 8.1.2
    * Brand new Panasonic DMC-ZS20
    * SanDisk 4 GB SDHC card, which I formatted using the camera function when I first installed it
This was my first weekend with the camera and I went out and shot 300+ photos. Used the USB cable that came with the camera to hook it up to my MBP. On the camera screen I selected the "PC" option. Camera disk appeared on my desktop and iPhoto loaded. iPhoto recognized the camera and displayed all the photos correctly. The problems happened when I tried to import them. I selected "Import All" and the first few 4 or 5 imported OK, and then it just hung there (little spinning circle and one photo file name displayed). Finally after a few minutes, I got the error message "The disk was not ejected properly" even though I hadn't touched the camera or cable. Photos that managed to import were fine - no corruption. Steps I took to trouble-shoot:
    * Tried reconnecting to iPhoto and this time importing them one at a time. This worked for a few and then again, it go hung up. Thinking there might be an issue with one particular photo being corrupted, I tried different photos from different parts of the disk. There seemed to be no pattern to the issues. A photo would hang one time, but then import fine the second.
    * Thinking it might be an iPhoto issue, I quit iPhoto and just tried to drag photos from the camera disk directly to a folder on my hard drive. I was able to open the camera disk and locate the photos (file names were like P1000150.JPG). But the same things happened when I tried to copy them to my hard drive -- a few would copy and then it would get hung up. I got system error messages -36 and -43.
    * I tried restarting my computer and restarting my camera.
    * At one point my camera got so "confused" that it wouldn't turn off, or even recognize that I had unplugged it. I finally had to take the battery out to reset it.
    * Thinking it might be an issue with a faulty SD card, I loaded the card into my printer's card reader and was able to transfer all photos without any problems. Photos look great.
    * In a possibly related issue, I tried to load the GPS data from the CD that came with the camera to my SD card, but it the GPS data would not load. Even though the card was empty (this was the day I got the camera, before I took photos) it kept telling me it needed 1.6 GB of space and I only had like 45 MB available… I'm typing these numbers from memory, not sure they are exactly right, but the point is that I had an empty 4 GB card and there should have been plenty of room.
So, is there anything else I can try here? Has anyone else had problems with Panasonics and Macs? Could it be an SD card issue, even though it worked fine in the other card reader? Or do I have a defective camera and need to send it back?
    Thanks,
    Jill

I finally figured out the source of my problem. I (foolishly) was connecting the camera to my computer through a USB hub. Turns out the hub was the problem. When I connected the camera directly to my computer, it worked just fine. Just figured I would post in case anyone else has the same issue.

  • I have an IPAD 2 that I use to view an IP camera over a Wifi network.  The Ipad is in a vehicle that leaves the Wifi range and then returns to the range.  Upon returning to the range, the Ipad has trouble connecting to the network. (30 seconds)

I have an Ipad 2 that I use to view an IP camera over a Wifi network.  The Ipad is in a vehicle that leaves the Wifi range and then returns to the range.  Upon returning to the range, the Ipad has trouble connecting to the network. (30 seconds)  The Ipad will eventually connect to the network, but by this time the driver is frustrated.  I have moved the antenna to within 20' of where the vehicle comes to a stop.  My Iphone does not have a problem connecting or reconnecting when used side by side with the Ipad.  Both the Ipad and Iphone have Otter box covers.  Has anyone run into this problem or have any suggestions?

30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present.  Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel.  But you might not.

  • Phottix Ares won't trigger my off camera 430 ex II when using iPhone EOS remote app!

I have a Canon 6D, a canon 430ex II and a set of Phottix Ares transmitter and receiver. I have set up my flash off camera and was planning to use the camera’s wifi capability to take a self portrait with my iPhone EOS remote app, but the flash wouldn't fire at all. When I turned off the app and phisically pressed the shutter it worked but never through the app. Then I thought of mounting the 430 directly onto the camera, used the remote app to shoot wirelessly and I was surprised that it worked!!! I coudn't find the logic behind this and I tried to find an answer everywhere with no hope!
Has anyone gone through tha same experience or have any explanation or solution to this problem? or any alternative solution to get the flash to trigger while shooting wirelessly? thanks.
[Mod note: Moved to "EOS" because issue seems to be with the EOS App. You'll get more exposure here!]
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you are shooting using Live View (through the app) it won't fire the flashes like that.  But if you just use the app to release the shutter and review the pics it will.  It's been awhile since I've used the app, but there's a button or something to go between live view and standard shooting.
That said, I've read that some cameras can work around this by going into the menu and disabling silent shooting, and then Live View will work with simple triggers.  I've never done it as I don't shoot in live view, but I've seen this discussed a lot.  Not sure if the same can be said for the app, but it's worth a shot (no pun intended).
