Trouble connecting my Shuffle to my car AUX IN port!!

I've got a Mazda 3 and tried to basically use a 3.5mm jack lead to connect to the Aux In port on the stereo.
I figured this would be simple enough to work as it would only be using the headphone/speaker port, but alas no sound is coming from the stereo.
I'm gonna go pester Mazda too, but if anyone has had problems like this, any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Turn up the volume on the shuffle... also make sure your car stereo is actually set to AUX.

  • Trouble connecting to remote Panasonic IP cams w/ iPhone- port issues

Cannot connect remotely to camera DVR with the iPhone due to Java Applet issues not supported by Apple. I also cannot connect to the home panasonic IP cameras because the error "Not allowed to use restricted network port" appears. In order to connect to the cameras remotely I must enter the port number after the local IP address, and is not allowing me to do that. Any expert out there? Example of a connecting address: http;// 95.242.228.177:80 (80 being the port).

Are you using a specific application to connect or trying to go through Safari?
You may need to use an app that connects to IP cameras.
You can search the app store and search "video camera" or "webcam"

    There is not.

Not with the Apple TV, but if the Smart TV has an AUX port, you can connect it that way.

  • TS3581 CAN YOU CONNECT A SHUFFLE (gen4) TO A KENWOOD CAR STEREO USING THE SHUFFLE USB CABLE ?

    HELLO TO ALL
ABIGMAC1 HERE! GOOD DAY TO ALL
JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD ANSWER THIS
CAN YOU CONNECT A SHUFFLE (gen4) TO A KENWOOD CAR STEREO USING THE SHUFFLE USB CABLE ?
I CAN USE AN AUX  3.5 TO 3.5 BUT NO WAY TO READ THE LIBRARY. PLEASE HELP ME!
    THANK-YOU
    ABIGMAC1

Check the documentation for the car audio system for device compatibility.  A shuffle may not be compatible.
If the car audio system is able to use a regular USB flash drive connected to the USB port, you should just get an 8GB USB flash drive for $5-10, load it with your "car songs" and leave it connected to the car audio system, instead of constantly connecting and disconnecting an iPod.
If the car audio system has an aux. audio input mini-stereo jack, you can get something like this
    http://www.amazon.com/Monster-iCable-Player-Auxiliary-Input/dp/B002AR5XIK
and connect your shuffle's headphones jack to the car audio system.  You can then use your shuffle to play through the car audio system.

  • 4S problem connecting to car aux input

    Hi there,
When I connect 4S to car aux with 3.5mm I get a really had hissing/feedback sound. Had no problem with any of the other iphones. I have tried my mates 4S and had same problem so it is not my phone. I have tried alter EQ and soundlevels but made no differnece. Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Owen

Hi I have the same problem.
I think what we want to do is simple but sometime tricky.
First you have to check your 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male audio extension cable is STEREO type. Not MONO Type.
STEREO Type will transfer the Left Channel of Ipod sound to left channel of your car stereo, Same as right channel.
The pulling of jack half way might make the left channel connect with both right and left of the other jack. The sound look ok but you are not getting stereo sound but mono sound.
There are many possible combination as you did not mentioned your pulling jack of half way is at the Ipod side or Car Stereo side.
My problem is I got sound like very distant away and soft and floating. But by turning the jack at Ipod clockwise or anticlockwise will make the sound normal (Not pull half way).
I suspect the female jack in my Ipod is loose due to frequent insert and remove of the male jack or headphone jack.
Can someone into audio help us on this ?

  • How do I connect my iphone 5 to my AUX in my car?

I have an Acura TSX 2010. How can I connect my iphone 5 to the AUX connector in my car?  Is there some kind of new adaptor?

You get an aux cable from any store that sells electronics. Plug one end into the head unit in the car and the other end into the headphone jack on the phone.

  • How to use a Shuffle in your car

    Hi,
my car has a connection for an MP-3 player but it's not a USB-port, it's a smaller one (don't know what it's called, will find out if needed). Is there a way (some kind of adapter maybe) to connect my shuffle to this port? By the way, I'm in the Netherlands, I don't know if this problem is typical for European cars.

If you are talking about a small, 3.5mm round hole, which looks like a headphone jack, it will accept any standard audio input. This is standard on all Seats.
Many companies label these as "mp3 port" or "aux-in" because it sounds cooler and more "sophisticated".
Just use a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable.
    From http://www.seat.co.uk/
"The Seat is available with either a connection which allows an iPod to be integrated into the vehicle or a special connection for all USB memory devices and MP3 audio players with a USB port. _There is also an Aux-in audio connection as standard, which allows external audio sources to be plugged into the standard headphone socket and the sound played through the vehicle's speakers_."

  • Connecting ipod shuffle to my 93 Honda accord radio

    Hi all,
How can I connect my ipod shuffle to my car radio and get the best sound quality? Is there some noise filter or frequency filter I can attach to it? Please let me know
    Thanks for your help
    Web dude

Your best option would be to use an line-in port. This would allow you to connect via the head phone port. The sound quality would be equal to a cd player, much better than a radio frequency transmitter.
The only issue is that you'll probably have to buy a new deck to support line in. (consult a specialist/manual to be sure your's doesn't already). Though if your buying a new deck you might want to get one with a usb port. Then you could just use a jump drive, and save the wear and tear on your ipod.
    Hope that helps,
    Chad

I have an iPhone 4 with ios 5.0.1 software and i am having trouble connecting it via bluetooth to a mac so i can send pictures from one to another. On the SoundLink® speaker, press and hold the Bluetooth® button for approximately 10 seconds until you hear a tone. The SoundLink® speaker clears all Bluetooth® devices from its memory and becomes discoverable
Clear the list on your Bluetooth® device. For more information, please refer to the manufacturer of the device
Perform a product reset. On the speaker, press and hold Mute for 10 seconds, the LEDs will flash briefly. Press Power to turn the SoundLink® speaker back on
Try pairing the device again by following these steps:
With the Bluetooth® device and the SoundLink® speaker both turned on, press and hold the Bluetooth® button on the speaker for three seconds to make the speaker discoverable. The Bluetooth® indicator will slowly fade on and off approximately once every second to show the speaker is in discoverable mode
Set your Bluetooth® device to "Discoverable." This will allow your device to discover the SoundLink® speaker
On your device, locate the Bluetooth® device list. Select "Bose SoundLink" from the list
If your device asks for a passkey, enter digits 0000 and press OK. Some devices also ask you to accept the connection. YourBluetooth® device indicates when pairing is complete. The SoundLink® speaker indicates pairing is complete when the Bluetoothindicator stops fading on and off and remains on
