Trouble connecting to itunes

I upgraded IE to version 7 and at the same time did a full clean of my system using Superantispyware. Now, when I try to log onto itunes I get this error "Itunes can't verify a secure connection with the itunes store [-9815].
I tell it to connect anyway and it does, but I can't buy anything.
Has anyone run into this error before?

is it possible that you could go through your security/anti-virus' settings and set it to allow the iTunes store to pass through with out this error messagecoming up? If that doesn't work, try going to the companies website and try talking to a representative or something like that.

  • Troubling connection with iTunes (I have to jiggle the cable), and my volume bar drops out very often.

Whenever I am syncing my iPhone 4 (with iOS 6.1.3) via cable with iTunes, I have to jiggle the cable to get it to connect with iTunes. Also, whenever I'm listening to any kind of sound, sometimes the sound just drops out and the volume bar disappears.
I asked an Apple tech in the store, and he told me to restore the phone and set up as new phone. I have done this with no success. Any suggestions

  • I have the new iPad Air and I'm having trouble connecting to iTunes. When I connect my iPad, my computer recognizes my iPad but iTunes does not. Why is this? I have a Windows 8.1 computer, and I've installed the latest iTunes. Please help!

    Please answer ASAP!!

    Hi eisense,
I also have a similar problem but not quite the same. First of all, let me give you the setup of the configuration:
    -- Desktop PC OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
    -- iTunes version: 11.3.1.2 (latest) for 64-bit
-- iPad Air with 3G/4G SIM slot
    -- iOS version: 7.1.2 (11D257)
-- Several USB peripherals: Keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner.
What I want to do is to sync my iPad with iTunes (NOT to charge it via USB). However, I get a strange behaviour 99% of the time (I will talk about the 1% later). The behaviour is the following:
    1. I connect the iPad to any USB port of my PC. My desktop PC is a new one, substantially "beefed up".
    2. The iPad changes continuously from "Charging" to "Not charging" and vice versa all the time (the change of "charging states" happens roughly every 2 seconds).
    3. While doing that, iTunes changes state from recognizing the iPad to "not identifying it properly". It suggests that I disconnect and reconnect it again. No matter how many times I do that, it never does any good.
    4. Eventually I get an error (error code: 0xE8000084) but the change of "charging states" goes on and on.
    5. During this time I was checking the Windows Device Manager. When the iPad was at the "charging" state the "Apple Mobile Device USB" appeared under the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section of the Device Manager. When it was not charging, the "Apple Mobile Device USB" disappeared.
    6. Even in the case the iPad was charging the "Portable Devices / Apple iPad" entry didn't appear in the Device Manager.
I have read all the posts about the particular error code and about the connectivity issues with iTunes. However, no matter what I have tried I haven't resolved my problem yet. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes according to Apple instructions. Rebooted my PC while removing all the other USB peripherals. I stopped and restarted the AMDS service. I hard rebooted the iPad. I switched USB cables. I even tried to sync my iPhone 5S in case it was an iPad problem. All has failed. Even the iPhone has the same behaviour.
NOW, about the 1% I was talking before.
If the iPad is completely charged to 100% (99% is not enough) the problem disappears. During the time that the battery is at 100% the iPad is not charging and at the same time all is fine with iTunes. The problem reappears when the battery goes to 99%.
I don't remember having this problem a few months back. Any ideas?

  • Trouble connecting to iTunes Store after Windows 8.1 upgrade

After installing Windows 8.1, iTunes will only connect to the iTunes store when my computer is deactivated. If I open iTunes and deactivate my computer it connects to the iTunes Store without a problem. As soon as I activate the computer I cannot connect it to the iTunes Store. Everything worked fine before I upgraded to 8.1. I uninstalled all Apple programs & reinstalled everything but it did not fix it. New Samsung All-In-One machine.

thanks for your suggestion ryclark, but when I downloaded and installed it asked for my serial number.  I typed in the number on my Audition 3 box but it said 'invalid serial number'.  Tried 3 times.  Also tried my ver 1.5 serial number. Didn't work either. Amazed that Adobe would just leave you hanging like that.  I purchased the programs a while ago (went from Cool Edit Pro to Audition 1, then 1.5 then 3. Spent serious money.  Not cool to just say 'tough luck'.  I'm sure there is a simple patch but they'd rather I buy it all over again.  Well... they can screw me once but I'll take my business elsewhere (ie, Pro Tools).  Sorry to vent, you were just trying to help!

  • TS3297 Trouble connecting to iTunes store.

I'm getting an error when trying to connect to App Store/iTunes Store that reads "ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url."  This just started about an hour ago.  Before that, everything was working fine.  I can access the internet and other secure sites, but not iTunes store.  I've gone through all the troubleshooting regarding iTunes connection issues.  Any suggestions?

  • HELP- trouble connecting to itunes from iphone 4s

    Hey,
    If anyone can help.
When i plug in my iphone to my computer itunes comes up but then it comes up with an error saying "This iphone cannot be used becausethe apple mobile device is not started" what does this mean ? I have tried downloading itunes again and still does not work. Have also adjusted my norton settings to allow for itunes and still nothing. Can anyone please help.
    Thanks

You will need to connect your iPhone to your PC at some point to transfer your iTunes store account information over.
Still, the iTunes store on the phone will only work if the phone is connected to a WiFi network. 3g/Edge will not work.

  • Connection failure - Itunes tells me to check my date/time. Help?

    Evening, everyone.
I'm having some trouble connecting to Itunes. I get the following error message when i try -
"Itunes could not connect to the music store. A secure network connection could not be established.
Check that your computer's date and time are correct and try again."
I duly checked the date/time and found that they were wrong, so updated them and tried again and still received the same message.
I also tried turning off my Norton and trying to connect with it disabled, with no luck. The other things currently running are DVD43, Sonic Cineplayer and MSN messenger. I can't see why any of them would be interfering, but i'm happy to be corrected.
I've had no luck finding answers on the Itunes support page. I'm not sure what other information i can give to help elucidate, so feel free to ask.
    Any ideas?

  • Cannot connect to iTunes store on iPad 3

Hi,  I have been unable to connect to the iTunes store on my iPad 3 to do my updates or to purchase Apps.  I have tried signing in and out of iTunes, resetting the network settings, turning off and on my iPad, giving it time, etc. but I can't get access to the iTunes store. Any suggestions?

    URGENT UPDATE!!!
I really hope this works for everyone else. It just worked for me.
I got my mother an iPad mini for Christmas and we've had trouble connecting to iTunes all morning. I got a new iPad and it worked just fine on mine right off the bat, somimwas confused as to why here's didn't work.
All I did was sign out of her Apple account on her iPad Mini and signed onto mine. I noticed that I was able to connect to the iTunes store perfectly fine at that point. I signed out of my account and then back into hers in the App Store at the bottom of the Featured tab. After that, she was able to connect to the iTunes store just fine.
So basically, for this potential fix, you need to sign into someone else's Apple account, try out iTunes, sign out, and then sign back into the original Apple account for that device.
Please let me know if this helps. If it does, SPREAD THE WORD! There are so many others having this issue.
