I am having trouble connecting to the guest server at work. I have tried to reset and reconnect without success, any advice?
Describe exactly what you mean by "trouble connecting." What happens in vagueness, stays in vagueness...
Many guest networks require a terms of service sign in on a web page before getting access.

Trouble Connecting Printer to my Wireless Network
I cannot connect my HP Photosmart C4599 to my wireless network. When I try to access the URL for the EWS http://0.0.0.0/ (listed as the EWS on my network config page) , it says no data received, and hence I've hit a roadblock. I understand that you are experiencing issues when connecting your HP Photosmart C4599 All-in-One Printer wirelessly to your Mac OS X 10.9 Operating System. I would like to offer you my assistance with this. Now, support options are limited as you do not have a downloadable HP Full Feature Software and Driver for your HP Photosmart printer on the Mac OS X 10.9 operating system. Therefore, you will be relying on your Apple Updates to load the driver functionality of your printer on your computer. This also means that you cannot run the standard wireless setup that you will see under the HP Photosmart User Guide as you have no standard Wireless Setup utility without any HP Drivers. In saying that, the IP Address of all 0's is not valid. All 0's tells us that your printer is not on your wireless network at all. At least we have a nice clean slate to work with.
Because your HP Photosmart has no HP Full Feature Software and Drivers on Mac OS X 10.9 the wireless setup is going to be very challenging, unless you have a computer that is using a supported Operating System. We could run the wireless setup on the supported Operating System and simply 'add' your printer into your Mac OS X 10.9 computer once the wireless is setup.
Your printer is supported with HP Full Feature Software and Driver on Mac OS X 10.4 to Mac OS X 10.6. There are no HP Full Feature Drivers for Mac OS X 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, or 10.10.
Your printer is also support with an HP Full Feature Software and Driver on Windows XP through to Windows 8.1.
Please let me know if using a supported Operating System is an option just for the initial Wireless Setup. Once I know what option works best for you I will be able to provide additional support options. I look forward to hearing from you!

Trouble connecting IPhone to my wireless network
I have recently experienced problems connecting my Iphone to my wireless network. I have had the phone for 3 months and this problem has only come up recently. Previously I had no problems connecting, and my girlfriend's Iphone can still get onto my network. I searched everywhere for an answer but most of them involved altering the router settings and since my gf's Iphone still connects, I don't believe it has anything to do with my router and or it's settings. I have reset my Iphone network settings before to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since your girlfriend's iPhone connects to the network OK, then it's probably not a configuration or security settings issue with your wireless network.
You mentioned you've reset network settings on the iPhone, have you also updated the iPhone to the current 2.2.1 software?
Have you actually powered the iPhone off (not just putting it to sleep) since this issue began?
Are you using any type of carrying case on the iPhone? One with a magnetic component?
Intermittent connectivity can be caused by cached data on your WiFi router or modem.
Try power cycling both your WiFi router and modem by actually removing the main power cord from both for several minutes (5 minutes will successfully reset all but the most stubborn device). Power up the modem first and wait until the LEDs are done with their startup dance. Power up the WiFi router.
If you have a VoIP modem from your cable company, it may have a backup battery inside that will prevent the modem from resetting even with main power removed. That battery is generally installed under a cover on the modem. Check with your ISP for information on removing the battery if that is the case.
Out-of-date firmware on your WiFi router can cause similar behavior. If you have a combination modem/WiFi router from your ISP, check with them for any firmware updates.
If all of the above do not resolve the issue, you may need to restore your iPhone:

Trouble connecting samsung DVD to wireless network
I am trying to connect my samsung 4600 to my router wirelessly. I can see my network in the list of networks but the DVD player says unable to connect. I know the password is correct because I dc'd a laptop I use on the network and retyped the password and it works fine. Additionally, if I connect it using a wire it works fine. Also, I can connect to my neighbors network because theirs is not password protected. So how can I get this DVD player to connect to my network wirelessly, please help =)

Internal Corporate wireless and guest wireless network
I need some technical information on hwo the wireless guest network is created on the Airport Extreme. We currently do not permit personal wireless devices to connect to our internal wireless network in order to protect out data. Several times users have presented us with justifiable business requests to have access to the wireless network from their own devices. We've been looking at using the Airport Extreme in order to do this, but we are bound by PCI (Payment Card Industry) requirements to keep our customer credit card data secure. PCI regulations do not consider VLAN a secure way of keeping the data isolated. Does anyone have any technical information on how the device creates the guest wireless network ?
Two or three of these on each floor would fit our need for such access and keep out customer data secure.

I spoke to Apple Support some time ago and was told that Apple uses VLAN to create the Guest network, and also that formal documentation was not available on this topic. I was referred to the AirPort Extreme Specifications for available information.
This was some time ago, so if you need more up to date info, you might want to try to contact Apple to see if they are willing to share more information about this feature. Although, since VLAN is used, your question may already be answered.
FWIW, to use the Guest Network feature in a home situation, the AirPort Extreme must be set up as the main router controlling DHCP and NAT on the network. If you were thinking of installing the AirPort Extreme behind another router, the Guest Network feature would not be available in this type of configuration. -

Is anyone aware of a way, "except for not broadcasting the SSID", to prevent clients from Inadvertently obtaining an IP address on a guest wireless network?
We are using two pair of 5508's for anchor controllers, and we're close to reaching our limit of 14k clients. While researching, we've found a number of addresses that are being handed out, are mobile devices with their WIFI enabled, walking through our facilities, but not necassarily wanting to use the guest WIFI.
We would like to somehow not have the devices obtain an IP, unless they truly want to connect. All I've been able to come up with is not to broadcast the SSID, which senior managment feels is not acceptable.

you can on the create on WLC, a separate dummy L3 interface (192.168.250.0/24 and a VLAN thet is not on Your LAN "3333") and WLAN with the name "1"
The DHCP is configured on 5508 with a lease of 240s.
The SSID appears first in the selection. and the clients will connect to the.
Your SSID can be broadcast and the user can select the need.

I got the task of setting up a Guest wireless network for one of our remote campuses. We already have some APs that are connecting to our WLC.
The Enviroment:
WLC Cisco 5500 is at our Corporate office. Connects to our Core Switch then to our Router
Router connects to our remote campuses over mpls
We currently already have APs at this campus that are connecting back to our WLC.
We have a DSL line at the remote campus that we want this Guest wireless routed to.
I have already created the guest network on the WLC and a guest VLAN on the Core switch
My main question is how to configure the two routers for this and have this go out the DSL modem?
Any help is very appreciated...That is fine. All you have to do is enable h-reap/FlexConnect local switching on the guest WLAN. Then change the mode on the AP to h-reap/FlexConnect and then the ap will reboot once it comes back up, you need to co figure the switch port as a dot1q trunk only allowing the vlans for the AP and guest. Set the native vlan on the trunk I the vlan the ap belongs on. On the h-reap ap, you will have another tab on the top for h-reap/FlexConnect. You enable vlan support and then put the vlan I'd the ap belongs on. Hit apply then go back to the h-reap/FlexConnect tab and click on vlan mapping. There you will see the guest SSID and then a box in which you can enter a vlan. That is where you will put your vlan for the guest. Now since this vlan your dsl is connected needs to reach all the AP's, you just need to create a layer 2 vlan and connect the dsl router to that. Users will get an ip from that dsl router etc.

I currently have a WPN824 v3 Netgear router and I’m trying to set up my Apple TV. I am able to connect it to my wireless network but my airplay feature is currently not working. The icon does not appear on any of my devices. My ipad and ipones all are currently up to date and are all joined to the same network. Is it the way that my router is configured. Please help let me know what I need to change in my router settings or does my router not work with Airplay. Or is there a simple fix.

I just bought a new Macbook Pro 15" with SSD 256 Gb and its almost a brand-new (the 4th time to use the device) a while ago i was trying to connect to my home wireless network it said that the connection is timed out so i clicked the airport sign on the top it said that your airport is not configured then I restarted the system but it didn't restarted it showed the grey screen with the apple logo and the spinning wheel for more than 10min so I tried the force shutdown by pressing the power button till it switched off I waited for 5min then pressed the power button to start or boot the system and again the grey screen with the apple logo and the spinning wheel, I waited for more than 20min nothing changed, any solution please?

Can't connect AE to existing wireless network
I can't get my AE to connect to my existing wireless network. I saw the other thread on this and followed those steps, but it didn't work. Here's what I did:
1. Connected the AE to my D-Link DIR-655 wireless router via ethernet cable.
2. Opened Airport Utility and established a connection to the AE.
3. Renamed the AE and entered a password.
4. In the "wireless" tab, I selected "join existing network", chose my wireless network, selected the security type (WPA Personal) and entered the password.
5. In the "music" tab, I named the speakers and entered a password.
So far so good. I clicked "update" and the AE restarted. After a while I received an error message informing me that the base station could no longer be detected. According to the directions posted in the other thread, this is actually supposed to be a sign that the AE is now in client mode and all is well.
I unplugged the ethernet cable from the AE and router and then went to the other room. I plugged the AE into the speakers and then plugged the AE into the wall.
However, instead of a green light all I have is a flashing amber light, even after several minutes. No connection.
I reset the AE and repeated the steps above, to no avail. Still a flashing amber light.
Any ideas?I'm having a similar issue. My AE is connected directly to a Netgear WGR614v4 router, and I run through all the steps you mentioned. When I choose to update the settings to the AE, I get the same "error" you mentioned about the AE not being found, and I also took that as a sign that I'm in client mode. I moved the AE to the other room, connected my mini cable to the stereo, then plugged the AE back into the wall. The AE runs through its setup and eventually gets a solid green light, so I'm thinking all is well.
The problem is that I then log back into the AirPort Utility on my laptop and the AE is not shown in the top left like it should be. After doing a bit of reading, I've figured out that I can manually find it by going to File>Configure Other and entering the AE's IP address and password. Then I get a window showing the details of the AE, its name, network, encryption, etc. However, if I close this window, it still doesn't show up in the main AirPort Utility screen and I'm not sure how to configure it for AirTunes.
Hoping that's just a bug with the AirPort Utility software, I open up iTunes to see if I can locate it there. I know I should see a pulldown menu at the bottom of iTunes that gives me an option for AE as my audio output method, but the menu is not there. Now I'm completely stuck.
At this point I decide to start from scratch, so I do a Factory Default reset by pressing down the reset button on the AE as I plug it into the wall. Now it is supposedly reset, so I plug it back into my router, then it runs through a setup sequence and lights up solid green before I've even done anything. It shows up in AirPort Utility with a default base station ID, but my computer won't connect to it at all. I'm hoping I can try to reset it again this evening and at least get back to the normal setup screen, but I'm really not sure what I could do differently at this point.
This is frustrating and I'm on the verge of giving up, but I REALLY want this to work out. -
I have an eMac which I want to connect to my home wireless network. My router is D-Link - 601 tech. 802.11n. My eMac is wireless ready but does not contain an airport card. Do I need a card and an airport station? What else?
You need the Airport card OR Airport Express but not both. Considering the age of your machine, I recommend Airport Express as you will find other uses for it whenever you replace the eMac.
To set up the AE, you do need OSX 10.4 or higher. -
I have followed all relevant steps, my iPhone5 and apple TV are connected to the same wireless network, but I still cannot use airplay. When I choose the airplay option on my phone, the only option I get is "iPhone"
Welcome to the Apple Community Willy.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -
New Galaxy 5s. Trying to connect to a guest wireless that routes browser to a login screen. The wireless will not connect (gives authentication error), so will not pull up browser window. My previous Android did not have this problem (it would connect and immediately reroute to the login screeen).
Would you please try manually set the DNS address on client NIC to the IP of your server, then try run the connector again?

Have imported my certificate from Windows XP machine into keychain and made Leopard always trust in order to authenticate automatically into my corporate wireless network. Also attempted to establish a new 802.1x connection via network preferences without any success. It keeps asking me for username and password even though we used self-generated certificates to log into corporate wireless network. You'll need to "hard reset" the Time Capsule and then reconfigure it again. To do this, you will hold in the reset button until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly, keep holding another second or two and then release.
The "hard reset" will not affect the data on your Time Capsule
Now you can open AirPort Utility and configure the Time Capsule using wireless (be sure to log on to the default network which will have a name like Apple Network xxxxxx), or you can connect an ethernet cable from your computer to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule to have AirPort Utility communicate with it that way.
When you open AirPort Utility, click Continue to follow the guided setup to re-configure your Time Capsule. You would choose the option to "Create a wireless network" when you are given the configuration options.
