"Completed" the download with the manager but when my Mac asks if I want to open a file from the internet and I say open...Nothing happens!

you probably should have two files, an exe and a 7z file in the same directory. if so, click (or double click) the exe.
if that fails, what files(s) (name and extension) and file size(s) have you downloaded?

Downloading/installing photoshop elements

I just bought photoshop elements the teacher/student edition and i cant seem to be able to install it. I followed all the steps in the instructions and downloaded proper thing, but once i do that nothing happens.
Im sure its probably a simple answer, but i just need a little help.

Are you still having trouble installing PSE 11? Hope you are installing with Admin rights and antivirus turned off. At times it has a conflict with Elements.
Any further info like machine configuration would help here.

Unable to download/install Photoshop Elements 11

I purchased download of Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
The Adobe Premier Elements 11 downloaded and installed properly (I think).
I don't see that the Photoshop Elements 11 downloaded - although I do have a serial number for each.
I don't have a "download" button next to the serial number so that I can attempt to download Photoshop Elements 11.
Suggestions?

Are you saying you have the big, fat file of about 1.5 GB size? If not then you need to download it from here:
<http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-10-11-downloads.html>
Click on the link given on that page and save it in a temp folder on your machine. When it has finished downloading (it takes about 20 minutes on a fast broadband connection) you need to double click on the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Downloading/Installing Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac

I purchased Photoshop Elements 11 for Windows/Mac. (I have a Mac) I then downloaded the file and it opened to tell me that Mac can not open a windows file. I went back in and looked at the files downloaded and there were two files with different extensions.
1).exe
2).7x
I went back into my orders to see if there was the .dmg file that I needed and it is not there. Then under the description of the purchase it says that the file available to download is the Windows file. When I go back to look at what I actually purchased, it says it was for Windows/Mac. Where is the file that I need for Mac?

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 and want to re-download it on a new laptop. Even though this is now an older version, it is still available under my "orders" page for me to download. However, when I click on the download tab, it takes me to an Adobe.com Site Requirements page, telling me that I may not have all of the requirements to download???? I have Internet Explorer 10 and the latest Adobe Flash, but still can't get past this page to download my purchased product.

I'm trying to download my purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements to my Mac, but had bad internet connection at that time, so I had to re-try several times. After some tries, the site tells me I've exceeded the number of times allowed to download. The thing is, I have not downloaded the product yet. How can I download?

Downloading trial Photoshop Elements 12

I am having trouble downloading the Photoshop Elements 12 trial. (If it is ok, then I intend to upgrade from my previous v4.0 version)
I have OSX 10.8.5 on an iMac. This morning I am using Chrome Version 30.0.1599.66. (I think that I used Safari yesterday)
Yesterday during the download process (4mins to go) I had a power failure. Repeating the download, 'extracting' was left running overnight and this morning I cancelled it and tried again. I performed an uninstall, deleted the old .dmg files and started for a third time.
It offered to install it in my Applications folder but, having read some error notices, I changed this to Desktop
I then experienced the following message:
The following disk images could not be opened
Photoshop Elements 12 error -4960
Extracting seems to be in progress
Please advise

If the download is completed in the Adobe Download Assistant you can temporarily turn off the feature to verify the checksum. The following steps will allow you to temporarily disable this feature:
Open the Disk Utility located in Applications/Utilities
Go under the Disk Utility menu and select preferences
Deselect the option to verify checksums
Try mounting your DMG file
I would recommend turning this feature back on though after the installation is complete. Also if you notice this happening on additional files it can indicate a problem with your Internet connection.

Having trouble installing photoshop elements 12

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with a problem I'm having installing photoshop elements 12 on my vista pc. Basically I have tried downloading the trial via the download assistant but the program will not load or show any signs of working after I download it. I have also attempted to directly download the trial from Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools but file 1 only seems to download a 1.5mb file that will not open (similar to the download assistant). File 2 will download but upon unpacking it, the installer program in the download will not respond.
I have tried turning all of my antivirus off, and have been downloading with firefox as opposed to internet explorer. I have not had any error messages pop up as no programs or downloads I have tried even seem to load up.
Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

As long as your license supports both platforms you should only have to download the Mac version and install/activate using your serial number. If you need help finding a link to download the file, please indicate the PSE version you need.

There was no driver update available (it said my driver was up to date), so I just deleted the scanner and restarted the computer. when it came up, the scanner had already been added again. With great anticipation I tried to import from Photoshop...but no luck (scanner was not visible). I finally ended up calling Epson (had great difficulty in locating a number for support) and they finally told me there is no driver update for OS X 10.10 and I should as a work around use "Image Capture" application. I tried it, and it works quite well.
