Trouble Downloading Recently Purchased Movie Bundle
I recently purchsed a movie bundle on iTunes. Three of the four movies downloaded without any issues, but the last one simply stays in the 'initializing stage' (when the download progress bar appears as a candy cane or...caution tape). It will not move beyond this point. I've tried restarting my computer multtiple times and the download has had a chance to sit in this state for a total of a few hours by now. What can I do?

It might be worth deleting it from your download queue and then trying to download it again.
To delete it from the download queue, open the queue with View > Downloads, select the item, and press the delete key.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/ -

ThanksConnect the phone to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if the left-hand sidebar isn't showing then control-S should get it to show) and then use the Music tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select the music that you want in the phone's Music app and and sync/apply that selection.

You need more local storage; free up space on iPad:
Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad. -

You don't need an iCloud account to download previous purchases from "iTunes in the Cloud". (This is a separate service that does not require an iCloud account.)

Why do I have subtitles over subtitles on some of my recently purchased Movies.? My closed caption option is turned off.
Recent purchases have been Avengers, John Carter, 30 days of night. All of them do it.
Please help me get rid of them.....The subtitle only appears in the begining of the movie during the scene with the russians. The issue has been fixed where the subtitles appear doubled. Just a simple redownload from the cloud is needed. Make sure you delete the copy in the itunes library before redownloading. Heres the email I got today:
Dear iTunes Customer,
Thank you for downloading the movie The Avengers. Unfortunately, the movie you received may have had issues with the subtitles. We have corrected the problem and a new copy is available to download, free of charge. To receive the new version, please re-download the title from iTunes.
Before downloading the new version, remove the current version:
1) Open iTunes on your computer.
2) Click on your Movies library.
3) Click the movie to select it, and press the Delete key.
4) Click Delete Movie and then click Move to Trash.
To download the new version:
1) Sign into the iTunes Store.
2) Click Purchased on the right side in the iTunes Store under the QUICK LINKS section.
3) Click on Movies and select the movie you want to download.
4) Click the Cloud download icon to download the movie.
You will now have an updated version of the movie in your Movies Library.

Question: Why when downloading a purchased movie from ITunes does it take 8 to 17 hours to download? I have an HP Laptop with Windows 7 using a core processer i7. This is the second day to try to get the movie downloaded and I still cannot watch this movie. Seems like a problem with ITunes or a scam. I use a IPhone 4 with little issues, But when using this lap top -- it is a joke.
First thing to do is get the CC off your system. Then try the direct download option linked below...
You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

My daughter has used my computer to log into iTunes and download music but now it won't let me download recently purchased music from my iPad onto my computer. I want to transfer the recently purchased songs onto my iPod so how can I do this now? iTunes now says that I have to wait another 55 days! There must be a way to do this since I have paid for them.
In iTunes sign out of your daughters Apple ID and sign in with your own.

I am having problems downloading 2 purchased movies. Cars 2 & Toy Story. I had it on My iPad, then after a while the movies would not play. I went to the apple store and they deleted it and told me that all I need to do is download it again. I tried what they suggested at the apple store, but I am still not successful.
