Trouble emailing from PDF document

I am trying to email straight from a pdf document using pdf reader and am getting operation failed. This is only happening with one of my users.

I have a user who was emailed a pdf file, he opens in Adobe reader and clicks on the envelope to email it. He chooses Outlook and then he receives operation failed and it won't email. He could save it down or forward the email, but should be able to do it straight from the form. I have run the fix and we have even reinstalled reader. Hope this clears it up more. TIA.

Trouble emailing locked pdf to Adobe Reader user

My staff use a pdf form which I created in Pro to track client progress. They fill in the form, then lock it using password security and email it to the client. Some clients who only have Adobe Reader are having trouble as they only get a blank form (not the filled in document) when they open the email attachment.
Any suggestions?

File is damaged and could not be repaired, when emailed the PDF Document

Hi i have the same problem , that what you have resolved, but it doesn't work for me...
i.e, when i sent a mail from the below code , mail sent but when open it shows "**There was an error in opening this document. the file is damaged and could not be repaired."**
can u please suggest to over come this problem.. and i m using IBM Websphere 8.

You need to get a new copy of the PDF.

Email uploaded PDF document

Hi,
I want to email PDF document uploaded using FileUpload UI element as attachment.
I have seen many posts on this, but not found solution yet.
One workaround suggested is storing uploaded document on server and then sending the document by reading it from specified server path. But there are few problems with this approach. As many users will be accessing this application unique name needs to be generated for each uploaded file.Also, after sending the file it should be deleted from the server.
Is there any way uploaded document (in binary form) can be send via mail without storing it on the server?

Making a pdf file from pdf documents in preview

Many times I get a .pdf from online & when I open it, there are many pages attached with it & I can scroll through it. Is there a way on the macbook to compile pdf pages and make them into a pdf document like this in preview. I've looked & don't see any way to do this.

Why does scale change when placing snapshot from pdf document?

IDCS3: I cut a furniture detail from a pdf document with the "snapshot" tool. I place this image, which includes text, into an InD document. The scale is huge! I do not know how much to reduce to get it to the exact same scale as it was in the pdf. In addition, the quality diminishes when placed in InD. The document size of the pdf document is A4 - that of the InD document is A3. Thanks!

Why not place the original pdf (vector & raster, I assume) and crop to the area you'd like - retaining the vector & raster, rather than use a screen shot (raster).

Flippable E-book from PDF document

Can someone give me simple instructions on how to convert a PDF document (created from MS Word) into a flippable e-book i.e. with the transition that looks like a turning page? Can it even be done in Acrobat XI Pro?

Emailing Generated PDF Document as Attachment - Error

Hi Forum,
A custom Print Form was developed using SFP Transaction and trying to send the Form to the vendors using an email attachment.
1. Used cl_bcs class for sending email. Attachment data(Generated PDF Output) was moved to solix_tab .
2. In the email attachment I see a PDF attachment with some funny characters and not the PDF Document I see in the print preview
Please advice me what I should do to the actual PDF document in the email attachment .

Please try this solution.
Characters that are not included in the ASCII character set are not displayed correctly due to an incorrect encoding setting of the browser.
During the display of the overview in the PDF format, errors may occur in certain versions of the Adobe Acrobat Reader. In this case, a blank page is displayed.
The problem is caused by a program error.

SAP WebAs sends incorrect encoding information to the browser so that the latter does not switch to the correct encoding utf-8 automatically.
Some versions of the Adobe Acrobat Reader may have problems with that, for example version 6.0.

Alternatively:
The revised version with various changes in the translation is provided by the attachment of this note.
Refer to the detailed description in Note 13719 on how to download and implement the corrections into your system.

Why can't I paste exact form of the text from pdf document?

Dear List Members,
I have a pdf document - it's scientific paper, containing some Fortran codes. I wanted to copy these codes into text file, in order to compile them and run. But after pasting, some characters are not copied in exact form. For example: "0" (digit zero) is pasted as "O" (big O character), letter "I" (big "I" character) is pasted as "1" (digit 1), etc. Finally I have to manually check the listings, what is very irritating and even this way I can't eliminate all the errors of this kind.
What is the reason of this situation? The source pdf document contains text. I used Acrobat, Acrobat Reader and AABBY Pdf Transformer.
Any help?

Well, if you want Java - then Adobe only has server-side options for you. We don't offer desktop Java APIs. Our server-side options are part of the Adobe LiveCycle family of products.
For client-side, we have the Adobe Acrobat SDK (which also requires Adobe Acrobat to be installed) or the PDFLibrary SDK (for stand-alone applications). Both are C/C++ based.
