Trouble filling in Adobe Form

1. The form was create in using LiveCycle Static Adobe 7. I
have had complaints that some people can open only drop down boxes,
but not text boxes. Some users have had no problems. All have Adobe
7 Reader. How do I fix this problem?
2. The form table was created using LiveCycle Stateic Adobe
7. The tab order is not consistant with the formating of page. In
setting tabs it reads correctly, but does not performs irr order.
The default is not working.
3. I have had trouble with users being able to use forms with
consistant results. All have been using Adobe 7 reader.

Trouble filling out word form

Ok I am trying to get a form tht is in word filled out on my MAC. The form is in Word so it opens in text edit. The thing is it is supposed to be two sheets that are horizontal but it opens in text edit as one form that has both sheets on top of each-other compressed vertically. How can I fill out this form on my MAC?

I am going to assume that you do not have Office on your Mac, so here are instructions to edit and fil it out in Pages:
Make sure that the Pages application icon is in your Dock. Navigate to your Word document in Finder. Drag the Word document from Finder over the Pages icon in your Dock, and let go. Pages will now open the Word document in its native format, and you can fill out the form. Once you are done, you can save the changes you made to it by pressing Cmd + S. This will save it in the Word document you opened. If you navigate to the "Save" item in the "File Menu" it will save the document as a Pages document. Don't ask me why Pages does this, it's just a bug in the application.

Trouble filling out a form?

I've been trying to fill out forms for school on adobe reader x.
The form has last name then first name, etc.
Well, when I type my last name into the box, it also puts it into the first name box.
And when I erase my last name from the first name box, it also erases it from the last name box.
I've tried everything I can think of and it's really beginning to get aggravating.

Assuming the document doesn't have security restrictions that would prevent it, you can use the Select Object tool (left-pointing black arrow) in Acrobat, double-click either of the fields, and rename it so it is unique in the form.

Is any one having trouble filling out a form on safari with lion?

Workflow trggering using adobe form...

Hello interactive form gurus,
I need some help related to adobe forms. We have a requirement when user fills up adobe form specially designed for material master. When he submits it a workflow needs to get trigerred. My questions are as follows:
1) Is it possible to trigger workflow by adobe form submission ?
2) Can we fill the adobe form offline and still trigger the workflow in SAP ?

Hi Rajesh,
From the broadness of your question this is definitely possible. In short a workflow can be triggered everytime an event is raised.
You are just looking at plug points when you can raise this event:
1. When the form is submitted online
2. When the form is stored
Maybe if you can provide more details the answer could be more specific.

Saving adobe form data to XML

Am trying to see what happens when user fills in adobe form and clicks submit. What will be sent back to server? Filled PDF or XML? If its XML, does it get stored on the user's machine in some temporary files?? If not, atleast where does it get stored on the server?
Am basically trying to develop a functionality where user clicks submit and all the form data gets stored in an XML file on the local machine. Any inputs?

You can use Web Dynpro Java with embedded Interactive PDF forms; and within your WDJ application, you can call various 'models': web services, EJBs and BAPIs/RFCs etc.
So to pass data to an SAP system, you don't automatically need the XML data as a BAPI is sufficient. Check out <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/webdynpro?rid=/library/uuid/49f2ea90-0201-0010-ce8e-de18b94aee2d#backend">these SDN tutorials</a> to do this.

Adobe form hiding fields stopped suddendly

Hi All,
I had made the sub form as flowed and written the below script in docready event in order to move other fields up if it do not have a value.
if(this.rawValue == null)
this.presence = "hidden";
This was working and it is working for the fields which are in the content area. But it suddendly stopped working.

There might be a number of reasons for such behavior. First of all, check for the latest versions of Adobe form. If there were recent changes it might be e.g. some other script which is incorrect and your script fails to run. A simple test for scripts is going to "Preview PDF" tab on Format page. If any error popups - check the corresponding script. It's the first point I start from while having script troubles.
If Adobe form wasn't changed, I would still check whether this script runs. If this issue can be reproduced in DEV / TEST systems, you can make any kind of debug printing or popup to be sure that IF-condition is fulfilled. If it's ok, have a closer look at the form elements, if not - check the data coming from the outside.

My recipients must have an Adobe ID to fill out my form?

I am conducting research and have created an Adobe form. The problem is all of my reci[iants have to go through this long process to complete it, including signing up for an Adobe ID. Nobody is going to go to the trouble to do this so I am wondering how to avoid this.
There must be a way for my recipiants to easily fill out the form without having to sign up for Adobe, right?

When I tested the process out, everyone who I sent it to was required to sign into Adobe to download the form and fill it out. I used the "distribute" method straight off of the Adobe form area and it sent as an e-mail.

I am using a drop down list in Adobe Interactive Form for Web Dynpro ABAP.
The form is of ZCI type layout and the form interface is of XML schema-based interface type and the XML schema source is set to "Generated".
I have included the following code in WDDOINIT method of the view:
data: handle1 type ref to if_wd_context_node,

zktokd type kna1-ktokd,
end of zstruct,
zitab type table of zsttxecr.
handle1 = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'DATA.NODE1' ).

In the Adobe Form Designer, i have binded the node NODE1 to the enumerated drop down list from native web dynpro library. Still the drop down box is not getting populated.

How to Fill value in Input fields before displaying ADOBE FORM

Hello,
you need to provide the information via the interface, which you create for the Adobe form.
And then pass this values via the following function module inside your generation report.
CALL FUNCTION fm_name
check standard report : FP_EXAMPLE_01 as an example!

Filling out a form in adobe reader

Im filling out a form in adobe reader for a scholarship. It was going well until I hit a certain section. Instead of typing the words horizontally, it was typing them vertically. Is there any easy way to fix this? I dont want to have to handwrite the entire thing.

That's an interesting form. It looks like it started out as an XFA form that was created in LiveCycle Designer, and somehow converted to an acroform on a Mac. Whatever the process was resulted in setting the rotation on some of the field to 90 degrees. As Mike said, there's nothing you can do about it with just Reader.
If you had Acrobat, you could set the proper rotation for the fields. If you really want to do this and don't have Acrobat, you can install the trial version of Acrobat 10. Or you could try contacting the creator of the form and get them to fix it.

However, when I click on the square to insert the photo, a screen pops up telling me to "select a PDF file and import it as an image" and just an "OK" button to press.
When running the debugger, I get NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method. Field.buttonImportIcon:6:Field Click here to add a photo:Mouse Up. Any way around it? Below is the problem I'm talking about.

I've converted photos into pdf format and it still won't allow me to insert the photo. I wouldn't know whether it'd be too large or small since I cannot insert it in the first place.

Can you provide a little more detail, maybe a screenshot? ExportPDF only converts PDFs to other file types, what exactly are you using to try to fill out the form? The two Adobe form filling tools I would recommend would be:
1) Adobe Reader - a free download you can install on your computer and can be used to fill out most any form. For numbers, symbols etc it can depend on the field you are entering data into, some fields have restrictions, but you would use those keys on your keyboard, if nothing is entered then that field probably has restrictions.
2) Adobe Fill & Sign: https://cloud.acrobat.com/fillsign - using the Fill & Sign tab on the acrobat.com website you can fill out most PDFs. To enter numbers, symbols, etc you would simply add them using your keyboard.
