Trouble for Client Logging in

I've had this happen a couple of times for clients. I could
be running a sesstion with 16-20 people in it from the same
company. Out of the group, 1-2 people will get hun on the Adobe
Connect "Connecting" screen. It is very hit and miss. One day they
could get in, the next - no luck. This is a big issue for multi day
classes as you could understand.....anyone have any
ideas????

Hi,
I searched around and only find these parameters on Exchange 2013 Mailbox Role. There are no appsettings in the OWA web.config file on Exchange 2010.
Based on my knowledge, OWA logs in Exchange will be mentioned in IIS log. The default path is %SystemDrive%\inetpub\logs\LogFiles. We can check the logs about OWA in these IIS logs.
However, Mailbox Audit Logging feature that allows you to track mailbox owner, delegate, and administrator logons to a mailbox, as well as what actions are taken while the user is logged on. Is this what you need?
Refer to this article about Understanding Mailbox Audit Logging

  • When converting over to HTTPS and PKI for clients, not all actions are available in configuration manager cpl

    I'm not exactly sure which forum heading this should go under so if this isn't correct please let me know or move it on my behalf.
    So I am trying to setup Internet Based Client Management in SCCM 2012 R2 and have come across a few articles on how to do so.   I think I have mostly gotten it to work but I seem to be having a client issue when deploying new machines.  My already
    deployed servers seem to have picked up the PKI setting no problem.  In the past when I would deploy a new windows client everything would be fine.  When i converted over to PKI in my test environment I am now having issues when I go to deploy a
    new windows client. I don't get all of the Actions listed in the Configuration Manager control panel.  All I have are Discovery Data Collection, Machine Policy Retrieval and Eval, User Policy Retrieval and Eval, and Windows Installer Source list Update
    Cycles, before all of them would populate no problem.  I have let this machine sit here for several hours and nothing has changed yet.  It does say PKI for client certificate.  Sometimes when I would deploy new machines it would say NONE for
    Client certificate.  In my production environment it says self-signed.  I have found if i uninstall the client and re-install the client it does populate all of the cycles but I don't understand why it is not working on deployment.
    Ok so maybe not all the time that when i reinstall the client it fixes it.  I just did an uninstall and reinstall on a test client and all it has under actions are machine and user policy cycles.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
    I think SCCM client installed before the GPO applied, so you don't a certificate available when it is required.
    You can export and import the certificate by using MDT integration, try this blog for PKI part:
    How To: Build and Capture in Configuration Manager 2012 using HTTPS
    And in addition, you can upload the log to your onedrive so you can share with us.

  • Jabber for windows logged in user count

    We recently deployed Jabber for windows 9.1.3 to 4000 users over a 3 week span. I have been trying to monitor how many people are logged in and using the client. I am using both CUPS admin and RTMT to try and figure this out and am now confused as to what I am actually seeing.
    When looking in CUPS under application/Jabber/user settings, I have been looking at the number of users who have a client type and version listed as I found in initial testing, those fields update when a client is launched (doesn't need to be logged in). Further testing shows this isn't always correct in that I have found a client type and version for users who do not have the client launched, and nothing for a user who has Jabber launched.
    When using RTMT, the Cisco Jabber Summary produces no information, but the CUP Summary does. I see the "Current XMPP Clients Connected" chart increase through the day, but not sure if this is logged in Jabber users, or not.
    I looked in the reporting on CUPS and there does not seem to be a report for clients.
    Does anyone know of a definitive way to track how many Jabber clients are logged in?
    CUPS 8.6.4.11900-1
    CCM 8.6.2.20000-2
    Jabber for windows 9.1.3
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    One of our clients reported the same issue to us recently, also running CUP version 8.6.4.11900-1.
    This was logged with TAC and it seems we are hitting Bug ID "CSCub94611 - Blank Cisco jabber Summary page"
    Details of this bug are not currently available to the public.
    Issue is fixed in CUP version 9.1.1.10000-8.
    The Cisco engineer also provided a CLI command to view how many users are logged in.
    Command is: show perf query counter "Cisco XCP CM" "CmConnectedSockets"

  • Client-Auth reports: HTTP4030: Timeout while waiting for client certificate

    Hello,
    I'm having problems with the certificate authentication in my Sun Java System Web Server Enterprise Edition 6.1: I have created an ACL in the SJWS that asks for a client certificate when the user goes to a specific URI:
    acl "uri=/server1/myaction.do";
    authenticate (user) {
    method="ssl";
    deny (all)
    user = "admin";
    It works great and, when the user goes to "/server1/myaction.do" (we are using Internet Explorer 7 as Web browser), the window for selecting the client certificate appears:
    - If the user selects a certificate that doesn't require password, everything works fine.
    - The problem comes when the certificate is configured in Internet Explorer for asking for a password every time it is accessed. Once the user has selected the password protected certificate, the window for typing the password appears, but if the user doesn't type it and click OK IN LESS THAN 5 SECONDS (I've timed it), the following messages appear in the SJWS logs:
    [28/Nov/2007:09:25:05] failure ( 2055): for host 10.0.145.11 trying to GET /server1/myaction.do, Client-Auth reports: HTTP4030: Timeout while waiting for client certificate.
    [28/Nov/2007:09:25:05] security ( 2055): HTTP4290: get_auth_user_ssl: client passed no certificate.
    I tried to add the following two lines to the magnus.conf file of the SJWS, but nothing changed:
    SSLClientAuthTimeout 240
    AcceptTimeout 3600
    Has anyone experienced something similar? Any little piece of advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much in advance,
    Carlos.

    This is fixed in Web Server 7.0 update 2. Please migrate/upgrade to Web Server 7.0 update 2. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • RSTCO_ADMIN - "No logical system exists for client 100"

    Hi all.
    I am trying to run RSTCO_ADMIN in a BI 7.0 SP11 system. The activation stops / fails, and in the log I get a warning message saying:
    "No logical system exists for client 100".
    In SALE and SCC4 I have created a logical system TBQCLNT100 and assigned it to client 100. Client 100 was created with a client copy from client 000.
    Does anyone know what I have to do to fix this?
    Thanks!

    Check if you have configured the RSADMINA table, here you will see a "bw client" filed, put 100 as your bi client.

  • Background saving for client  runing on rmi

    Hello I have a client side application that gets its data from an arraylist object that is sent over the rmi network from the server.
    When ever a client logs on. The server allows the client to access its resources for only one hour
    I want the client to be able to restore its data in case of pc failure i.e. power failure etc
    When the client logs back in after pc failure i want it that the server should reset the client to the state it was before it disconnected.
    I was thinking of using a background thread that saves the current state of the client lets says every 2mins but i cant seem to put it all together so i was looking for advice from experts here on how i can save the current state of a client and restore it back when needed.
    Thanks.
    Edited by: xcellng on Feb 17, 2008 5:06 PM

    so i implement Serializable every 2mins have the background thread write status of client to a file also use deleteOnExit(); to delete file only on clean JVM shutDown.
    so now when client logs back in from a pc failure this is how i plan to restore client status back:
    //assuming i  have a file tempFile that stores clients status
    have a client call back method
    have the server call that method to check if tempFile exist
    if tempFile exist load client details from tempFile
    else use defualt client settings from serveris this right?

  • Refresh rate for client tracking i WCS/MSE

    Hi
    I have a customer that have trouble with the update of the position of a client. Even if the clients walks across the whole building, the client will stay at the same place for several minutes. Is there any way to tune the refresh rate? When I push the load button in the map, the clients position will refresh, or it did when I was on the site, now they just test with an application.
    The setup:
    WiSM 7.0.220
    WCS 7.0.220
    MSE 7.0.220
    They use the API for MSE to get the location information to the external application, and that will show the information on a cisco 7925 IP phone.
    Do someone know a way to increasing the refresh rate?
    - Patrick

    From: Cisco Mobility Services Engine - Context Aware Mobility Solution Deployment Guide
    Jitter: Before the 5.2 release, MSE used to have Location Smoothening mechanism to track clients. Moving average was taken for clients, or, in other words, client movement was averaged. Starting with 5.2 software release, this whole
    mechanism has been replaced with “Location Filters.” Location Filtering is applied internally on a per client basis. MSE
    keeps track of which client moves and which is stationary, and it applies filtering accordingly. This reduces the overall jitter of the system. Location filtering is enabled by default.
    Perhaps you want to turn  location Filtering OFF for your application.

  • Practical use for clickthru log

    Regarding the clickthru log (populated by the htmldb_util.count_click or Z procedure)...
    What is a practical use of this feature? Other than a "Huh, that many, eh? Nice" by glancing at it from the Admin pages.
    One thing I thought of was "self-destructing" download links where the link is rendered conditionally by querying the WWV_FLOW_CLICKTHRU_LOG view and checking the count(*) for that category.
    So, I decide that I want to allow this download to happen only, say, 100 times and then disable the link and put up a message "Sorry, maximum number of downloads exceeded" or something like that.
    Has anyone made any other use of this feature in their applications?
    Thanks

    Vikas,
    At CASEtech, we are using the clickthru log for 3 different activities within our product offering.
    1. We have on all the web sites we create for clients a footer link:
    "Site Design by CASEtech Inc. ©2004 All rights reserved." with a clickthru to track how many of our customer's customers are coming to our web site.
    2. We have a customer who has rotating advertising in their header, with an opportunity to click for more information. Our client wants to know how many times this advertising link is clicked for each of its "sponsors"
    3. We include the clickthu on images sent in emails from our Oolaroo - Oracle HTML DB applications as a way of tracking emails read.

  • Secondary destination for Archived logs

    Version: 10.2, 11.1, 11.2
    We occasionally get 'archiver error' on our production DBs due to our LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1 being full. How can I have a secondary location for archive logs in case my 'primary' location (LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1) becomes full ?
    I gather that LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 is reserved for shipping archive logs to Dataguard standby DB in which you specify the tns entry of standby using SERVICE parameter.
    Can I specify LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_3 as my secondary location in case LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1 becomes full ? Is it what LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n meant for ? Although the documentation says you can have upto 10 locations, I am confused if they are meant to store Multiplexed copies of archive logs ? That is not what I am looking for ?

    >
    Hi again Tom,
    I have one more question:
    ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_4 = 'LOCATION=/disk4/arch';
    ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_3 = 'LOCATION=/disk3/arch
        ALTERNATE=LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_4';
    ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_4=ALTERNATE;
    SQL> SELECT dest_name, status, destination FROM v$archive_dest;
    DEST_NAME               STATUS    DESTINATION
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1      VALID     /disk1/arch     -------------> Dest1
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2      VALID     +RECOVERY       -------------> Dest2
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_3      VALID     /disk3/arch     -------------> Dest3
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_4      ALTERNATE /disk4/archMy understanding is (and I'm not terribly sure at the minute - don't have a test system to hand. I haven't
    set up a backup/recovery strategy in a while - I just restore backups from time to time (normally every 4 weeks)
    to ensure that the database recovers as it should) - my understanding is that under the scheme above
    DEST_3 will be a copy of what's in DEST_1. DEST_4 on the other hand will "step in" should DEST_1
    or DEST_3 fill up/fail.
    As to DEST_2, I'm not sure - maybe something to do with Fast Recovery Area? I've Googled but can't
    find anything - the trouble is that all the pages about this contain the word "recovery" and the "+"
    sign doesn't appear to affect the search - does "+" mean something special to Google?
    I don't have a system at the moment - if you do, why don't you test and see? On a test system, fill
    up the file system for DEST_1 with rubbish and check to see what happens?
    All of the above is to be taken with a pinch of salt - I don't have a system to hand and am not certain,
    so CAVEAT EMPTOR

    Any thoughts? Wireless users are experiencing random disconnects.

    In looking at the radius configuration again I notice that we have two servers defined. I looked through the logs and didn't see anything alarming, until I checked the secondary radius server. I was just told that the second radius server has been shutdown without notice.
    I will remove that from the WLAN config later tonight.
    Obvious question, but will ask it anyway, will this cause these errors?

  • 451 4.7.0 Timeout waiting for client input

    My organization is running Small Business Server 2008 with Exchange.  After installing Exchange users reported not reciveing emails from Comcast and a few other domains.  Looking at the logs, domains including gmail and comcast are unable to deliver email to our Exchange mailboxes.  They receive an error message like the following.
    Technical details of temporary failure:
    Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 451 451 4.7.0 Timeout waiting for client input (state 18).

    I had a similar issue with fortigate firewall. I could not able to resolve this issue with fortigate. Fortunately I had a Cisco PIX firewall in my stock. Eventhough it is not a best practise I have replaced the fortigate firewall with Cisco PIX mail flow
    started perfectly without any issues.
    If any fortigate experts are seeing this forum please suggest what has to be done for solving this issue.
    I have escalated this case to fortigate and they resolved the issue by executing the following commands on the fortigate firewall.
    set tcp-mss-sender1452
    set tcp-mss-receiver1452
