Trouble getting full 1gig of music on 1gig NANO

I just purchased a NANO (1gig). Initially i loaded about 400K of music from itunes to the NANO. Then, I added about 600K of new music to itunes for a total of about 1gig of music on itunes. When i went to update the NANO (which already had 400K of music on it) I received an error message that the memory had been exceeded so it would not update all my new music on my NANO. I then chose to have itunes "autoselect" themusic to be updated. It only added about 880K of music and not the full 1 gig. Is there a way to get ALL of my music on the NANO? Is the true capacity of the 1gig NANO only 880K? Thanks.

You may be having the issue where your nano has "fake" used up space.

Try following the instructions in this article to move your music to a new computer. I like the External Drive option the best because it creates a backup in the process.

Updating music in my Nano

First time iPod user. How do you have your nano pull only the songs out of iTunes that you want to put on it?
(I ripped a dozen or so cd's into iTunes, then put put them on my nano, then I deleted them from iTunes as my hard drive was getting full, next time I plugged my nano, it updated with iTunes and removed all the songs from my nano that I had deleted from iTunes. Anyway to fix this?)
I only want to keep music on my hard drive long enough to put on my nano.

I would suggest the manual method over using 3rd party software, but the choice is entirely yours.

Hopefully you moved the entire iTunes Media (or iTunes Music) folder to a new path on your external drive. Copy your iTunes library folder out to the root of the external drive, e.g. X:\iTunes (where X: is your external drive), then move the media folder inside it. Hold down shift as you start iTUnes and keep holding untila asked to choose or create a library. Choose the library at X:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl. Should all be good.
Failing that, download and run my FindTracks script and point it at the new location of your media folder.

I can see the music, it is in a lighter font and appears to still be there but will not play. When placed on shuffle it will skip right over this music. Having trouble getting my music to play, this really annoys me because I spent MY money on itunes for these songs and suddenly they won't work anymore. They've worked in the past so I don't understand what could be going wrong. Only the songs that I've synced to my device from CDs work. I select a song hit the play button and nothing happens, it doesn't work with or withought earphones in. I've tried recycling my device multiple times too and I haven't dropped it recently so I don't know what the problem is. Please help me understand and fix my problem. Thanks in advance

Basically, unplug the dock for ten seconds, then reset your phone. Voila! It worked for me. Hope that helps.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
Mac OS X:  ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.

Cant get full volume

After putting my phone back to restore settings ( only way i could get it off headphone setting) I cannot get full sound out of it it is showing it is on full volume but you can hardly hear it ring. It's a 3gs

This is an interesting subject .... I recently got a Sansa Clip (great MP3 player for the price) but the volume at max was pitiful. A search on the internet showed that due to an EU directive (I think) the volume was capped. I found instructions to reset the device and instead of Europe enter USA during the setup process. I did just that and now the volume is fine - much louder. So ... this may be a legal requirement imposed on us (and Nokia) by our elders and betters (HAH).

Given the fact that on public transport I can regularly here the music (from so-called personal devices) of half a dozen young people round me, I wouldn't be surprised if half the population currently at teenage is deaf by the time they are 30.

CE1 og PE1 works fine, BGP routes all internet routes are shown i en route table, but distributing between PE1 and PE2 is now working .. any one having a clue !!.
My gold is to move internet access into it's oven VRF, and away from the global routing table

For VPN routes to be exchanged between the two PEs, you first need to configure VPNv4 address family on each one of the PEs.
Carrying the full Internet routing table over VPNv4 will work but it is not very scalable since all PE routers have to hold the full Internet routing table in the VRF context in addition to potentially full Internet routing table in the global routing table. If you want to exchange full Internet routing table between the two CEs, it would be preferable to use something Carrier Supporting Carrier (CSC).

Without knowing which OS X version, advice will be not specific
and to answer three different ways when one of them is correct
is a waste of time.
Is your OS X newer than Lion 10.7.5? IF so different rules apply
to finding out what is free space, where it is, & how to tell if it is.
For systems older than Lion (Snow Leopard, Leopard, Tiger, Panther)
the rules are a little different, since there would not be an Other item
on the hard disk drive which could contain items necessary to the OS
yet not detailed to the user.
And Lion 10.7 has a few hidden files that are hard to locate, and one
of them may have some bearing on the missing space of a HDD.

I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

Apps cannot be removed much less added to the device.
Only content from the iTunes store (movies, tv shows, music) can be added/removed on the 1st Gen ATV.
Again, the 2nd and 3rd Gen ATVS have no onboard storage for content and would generate no such message.
Just curious, has your ATV been jailbroken? If it has, no support can be provided via these forums.
